Awesome tutorial, I am a cabinet builder I decided to upgrade my kitchen , never plumbed a dishwasher or garbage disposal, spent the time drinking coffee and waking up to your presentation, the misses and I hit the hardware store, I do a little shopping go home to a wall with,, water in , and water out, couple hrs later I have a dishwasher, garbage dispose all, hot and cold water and everything works!!!, and even better, an amazed better half lmao!!!! Very, very good sir! My first dishwasher install required removing a kitchen cabinet as the new house was not built for one. After 30 years, it quit, so now I have to replace it. In the original installation, I used 3/8" soft copper line from the basement up through the kitchen floor. This time, I will use the braided hose and make a different connection as you did in this video. Thank you very much!

I want you to know that after putting in my dishwasher 4 years ago I noticed some dripping coming from the plastic threading 90 degree angle brass fitting with the gasket. Silly me years ago I used teflon tape and did not tighten it enough. I shut off the water, took off the connection, removed the tape and hooked it back up and this time i finished with channel locks. No drips, no nothing. It was thanks to your video that I was able to fix this small issue. Thank you so much.

So far the best highly detailed Step by Step vid I'd seen. I'm adding a new dish washer in place where a clothes washer was. There's is a drain already in the back wall that the clothes washer was using. Can I use reuse this existing 2" drain for the dish washer instead of connecting it to the garbage disposal? I'm in Virginia and have no idea about the code here.

I am a master electrician and really appreciate the fact that you explained the need for a traditional romex connector if the unit did not come with a snap in connector attached to a cord and plug like the one you have. VERY HELPFUL... my new upgraded dishwasher is fast, quiet, and powerful. BUT, It took me less time to install my dishwasher than watch your video. If you have ANY power tools, you could cut this video into one third of the time. BUT, Couldn't have done this with out you.

Thanks for the instructional video! I got OCD towards the end of the video and installed my D/W without watching the entire thing....which I should have. I missed the part where you showed what the brackets were used for (they're used to restrain the D/W from pulling towards you when you open the door). Instead, I drilled a screw in each side (left and right) into my cabinets to keep it from moving, which worked but not as well as the brackets would have. Thanks again for a great video!

Was not sure how to install it with the cooper pipes. Now i do. Thank you so. One question the height and width of dishwashers are they all the same size?

All installed, and working great. One glitch, though: I did the first test run not realizing the water was still turned off. I think I burned a baring, or something 'cuz of the smell! Fingers crossed that it keeps running as well as it currently is.
