These all work when you have two jars, and you're sure one is real, it's easy to compare the results.. but when having only one you're unsure about, it's hard to decide
I just brought some honey at a festival, from a local bee person, here in Seneca SC, Beeline, is the name, and i tested it at home after paying $16 for a jar, just to find out it was fake or completely processed out, or maybe diluted. Beware of even people that have a following and have bees, consumers don't realize what their eating.
Some feedback, after trying your suggested "pure honey" tests at the local supermarket 77 days ago, I have finally been released from prison after I was sentenced to 90 days for food tampering and am now back at home. At least on the inside the honey was free ! Every cloud has a silver lining and in some jails the honey is free
I had a bottle of honey once. It said that it was real honey and that it should be placed in a fridge. I was suspicious about. Why would honey need to be in a fridge when they can be preserved for thousands of years? So I placed it on the dining table and waited for a day. I'm not surprised it turned very liquid like.
One of my neighbour has lots of bees, and he sells a lot of honey. I always buy from him, because what he gives me is real, natural honey, unlike what you can find in the store.
I have a good one. Add a spoon of honey on a glass plate. Then add a little bit of water just to cover the honey. But just a little. Hold the plate and make round movements with your hand. If the honey is real you'll see drawings/shapes of honeycomb appearing on the plate. It's just beautiful.
Raw honey which is directly squeezed from the bee hives are not supposed to be more thick! It could also be as thin like water or oil, because the colour, taste and density of the raw honey is purely dependent on the type of flowers from which the honey bees get the nectar. And, do also colour, taste, state and density of the raw honey changes on shelves due to it's reaction of pollen grains and bee's wax with the environmental moisture content.

My grandparents have some beehives, and they give my mom some of their harvest a lot, and MY GOD, that stuff is liquid gold. I can't even eat store-bought honey, that shit is so nasty in comparison and it burns my throat.
Someone gets it! My mother has beehives, and although she lost all but one hive this year, there's nothing comparable to real honey. I've never had store bought honey, but the real stuff is just... perfect. No artificial feeding or anything done to the bees. She makes herbal remedies with it as well. I've been lucky to get honey from her.
whenever my mother buys honey, she cant stand fake honey so she always goes to a specific shop to buy manuka honey which is usually around $50 but sometimes she has some trouble distinguishing real vs fake honey so this video really helped! thanks!

check ingredient on label? Some ingredient does not have to be listed for starters and others do no not have to be listed if they are lower than a 1/2 %.
Plus the taste. I always complain how real honey tastes almost ‘stingy’ if that makes sense like spices were in it. Fake honey just tastes like dissolved sugar.
Eross Van Leer my teacher at school told us about fake honey over 50years ago. She said look at all the shops and supermarkets around the world selling honey. Runny honey can still be pure honey. Depends on the season or the type of bees. Summer season honey tends to be thicker between 17-19% moisture content while rainy season honey tends to be around 19-22% moisture. Buy from a local beekeeper to be sure.
I agree that some honey is runnier than other honey. It depends on the type. Clover, buckwheat, tree necter, flowering trees, pine sap(bees do eat it in the beginning of the year). Temperature is also a big factor, hotter honey runs quick. Like the other commenter mentioned, humidity also plays a big factor.

Another trick is if you add a drop of honey on a piece of paper, the fake one will sip in where as the natural one will not
The 3 rd method can be done at the store if it's a transparent bottle 👍
Honey I bought months ago started to crystallize, now I know that it's real honey
Ingredients had me I said ok that’s enough all I need to look for is one word *honey*
Producers of honey do not necessarily have to include the additives. Look up the laws. Reading the label is not full proof.
In Georgia we all have our beehives & we always get our own honey. & it's pure & new & fresh always.
Most of these tests seems to be made for very liquid honey. Depending on the type of honey (orange flower, eucalyptus, etc) the honey can turn more solid
If it turns solid it's a sign that it's pure honey. Pure honey crystallizes with time (sadly).
@@fenrirgg maybe its added sugar is why crystallized how do we know? And how to know whether the beekeeper fed sugar to bees?
Honey detected
Today they can make pure honey with less quality...just by feeding bee's with sugar
That's the reason one should avoid farm honey from bee keepers and buy raw honey which is squeezed from natural hives from bee hunters 🤞
or buy local wildflower honey.

Fake or adulterated honey has that disgusting synthetic sugar syrup smell.

What happens if I have just a single bottle of honey and wondering if it’s genuine stuff?
So I have to buy 2 jars of honey, 1 is real the other 1 is fake. Seriously?
You don’t have to buy 2 honeys you just have to compare you’re one honey against this video and see which one your honey more resembles.
Once you're done testing, you've wasted all your honey.
Why is this so satisfying?
why do you need to put sweeteners in honey,,, it's already one of the sweetest things out there

Uhhh thank you, TH-cam, for recommending a honey video when I have never watched a honey video ever
ill just snatch the honeycombs in my yard then hopefully not get in trouble
*BAM! PUREST HONEY IN THE WORLD*
Great, but I can only tell thru these test that my honey is fake after I already bought it. Is there a way to know even before I buy it?
When I went India, I was able to get real honey from a hive but it was runny. Why was that? Not prepared enough by the bees?
Btw I didn't open the hive, it was literally leaking the stuff.
Another thing is that pure honey doesn’t freeze into ice but the fake one freezes
good video
Get your info somewhere else, most of this is not true.
you can try adding a little bit of honey and water on a flat surface and then shake it, it's real if it subtly forms honeycomb shapes
Shaking like Crazy.. 😜
I was testing it out...
while me: Oops i dropped it in the floor... I really did😐😅😫
Did you know that honey can be stored for more than 1000 years and still remain .
But the nutritious quality of it will decrease
