Am reading Punisher: Year One. Got to the panel where the mob boss in Miami is talking to his little confidant guy about how Frank Castle is causing trouble up in New York. Boss says "And I know just the man for the job." This notification pops up on the top of my screen. That lined up just too perfectly and I had to watch.
Creating villains for The Punisher is admittedly always a writing challenge due to the character's entire premise being that he kills his enemies. A lot of the time it's either they bring in an already established villain from another character's rogues gallery like Bullseye, Kingpin, Bushwacker, The Hood, Daken and even Electro that one time who he most likely won't be allowed to kill because the villain is still needed for other characters' stories, or you get a generic mobster made for that one story who will therefore die in that story. It's rare they put too much effort into a Punisher villain because they're going to have to kill them off and most likely not get to use them again. Of course if he doesn't kill them, that goes against the whole point of the character. Sometimes it works. The Russian, while popular among Punisher fans, lasted about as long as he needed to. Same goes for Barracuda. But then there's cases like Hitman, an old war buddy of Frank's who wound up fighting FOR crime instead of against it. Great potential there. Gets killed in his debut story. Heck, Hitman was considered so inconsequential to the Punisher's stories, he's technically classified as a Spider-Man villain now.
Dont forget that barracuda is classified as the main antagonist of the max series despite not lasting for even half of IT all because he had the most appearances than all the others . At least according to his villains and pure evil wiki pages but still its tha same with jigsaw he is the big bad of the punisher franchise because he is the one they use most often
It's a shame that DC and Marvel don't do more this crossovers anymore, because I think that the Punisher could work really well in a crossover with Jason Todd, the Red Hood (with the two of them trying to stop a gang war between Jigsaw and Two Face).
@@mr.rogues4145 That would be cool and could serve as the factor that makes Frank and Jason teaming up, since both villains were responsible for their personal tragedies (Two Face killed Jason's father and Jigsaw was part of the gang that killed Frank's family).

It was subversive but I'd be lying if I wasn't a little disappointed with how he turned out in his run as Jigsaw. They played him pretty sympathetic which was cool but kinda underwhelming. Again, subverting expectations but I kinda wanted to see him return to being the sick and twisted crime lord he's know for being. But I suppose I got that in Punisher Warzone. I always thought Hitman from the Punisher's early appearances in Spider-Man should've been a major arch-enemy for Frank. They both fought together in Vietnam and had a deeper personal connection than the Punisher did with Jigsaw or anybody else.
I've always liked Jigsaw since seeing him in Punisher Warzone. It's crazy how Punisher is so well-known while his villain is so obscure (kinda reminds me of Wolverine). I feel like the Netflix show made him too emotional and sympathetic. Jigsaw was intended to be the one pure evil villain that Punisher was just never able to really finish off. After all, he was a mobster before his scars originally. That, and being former friends with Punisher is just unnecessary. (Although that relationship with his son in the #1 comic sounds fantastic) I find it funny tho, that everything Netflix did with Billy (mental deterioration, an equal to the hero, very sympathetic and antihero-style, and a true mastermind) are all what I'd like to see be done with Harvey.

4.they should team up more often, Red Hood would get along just fine with the Punisher
3.I don't really see the Punisher as a mobster
2.it's like Jigsaw put a lot of work into killing the Punisher after the superhuman civil war
1.it's times like this that make me glad that the Kingpin got along with his son very well
Can you please do a top 5 best lobo comics mr rouges?
Punisher and jigsaw are giving me serious Batman and Joker vibes
Yes but punisher had to put jigsaw to sleep permanently. Batman can’t never do that with joker cause he needs joker like joker needs Batman.
@@bobbybernard5977Batman does not need the Joker. I don't think he would Care if he died
But is Jigsaw's phobia really a phobia. When your a supervillian in New York you might have a fancy gun, or can shoot beams, or be bulletproof. But it's New York. At any crime you can run into a guy wearing a multibillion dollar battlesuit, or a guy who destroys mountains with one blow when not zapping people with a million volts of electricity.
I think the aspect of Jigsaw being involved in the murder of Castle's family comes from Punisher: Year One, where Russo (Jigsaw) is sent to snuff out the last surviving member of the massacre, Frank.
I don't think that's right
Huh, seems like the Punisher comics took a page out of Batman 1989 in regards to Jigsaws and the Punishers rivalry.
what music is this i really like it
whats this music its amazing
Reading "Batman/Punisher: Lake of Fire" made me think that Jigsaw works better as a Batman villain than as the Punisher's arch nemesis.
I always enjoyed "Sniper" villain in Punisher series
What are your thoughts on Barracuda, Punisher’s other reoccurring rogue?
Weird thing about the punishers decline in the 90s wasn’t the 90s like the decade of over macho edgy comics? You would think punisher would sell well in that environment
Nice
IKR, Mr Rogues really outdid himself
