100% NO. "Bedding in" is done at the factory at full song with most manufacturers. If I can't give a new demo bike the berries then I'm buying elsewhere...am I the reason demo bikes are cheaper ;)
Yes, definitely!!! There's a way to use a weapon . . . and there's a way to abuse a weapon . . . . . . the latter is dangerous . . . and out right irresponsible So we use . . . and care for one . . . in a manner that it is safe to do so . . . for everyone The same could apply to a new bike or plane . . . because when that new machinery is wrecked . . . guess what . . . somebody is going to feel a whole lot of hurt . . . even if it is ONLY ME who's left 6 feet under . . . Besides . . . it's the company's warranty . . . and we expect them to honour it . . . so we should honour it too!!!
I know it's necessary for the engine parts to get used to each other, but it would be nice not to have to be restricted. Did I understand the question correctly? Btw I like your reviwes. They are ordinary user oriented and useful. So thanks for reviewing this masterpiece of motorcycle. 👍
If the bike can still let ya hit triple digits while avoiding idiots on I-95 I think people can handle a little power regulation as the bike breaks in.
Is it even necessary anymore? I get that these are high performance machines but the machines that make these engines these days are so good, what risk is there?
I have an RR. To sum up my experience with it, I would say it's very fast, plush, handles incredibly well and it feels solid and competent at speed. If you get one, be ready for a lot of questions from strangers.
I'm 5'9, my bf 5'10. Neither of us have issues tucking on her. Also, you shift INSANELY early. Shifting at 3k rpm and hitting 6th gear before 100mph is crazy. This is literally the best bike I've ever been on and even with her restrictions, I don't even need to full send her to gap pretty much anything out there
I just did an SLR tune on my '22 RR. That extra HP really wakes this thing up. Even with a LV slip on that's E5 compliant, that howl is magnifico. Frank went above and beyond for the tuner help. I still haven't completely let it rip. I'll take it to my gen3 busa spot (also SLR tuned) and run it out when it loosens up some more.
I spoke with the dealer who stated the street triple is definitely more nimble but the speed triple is not as nimble in comparison to Ducati. Not sure if it is the clipons.
Yes I thought it was weird. That’s what the dealer tells me and the power delivery reduction seriously confirms it. I wonder because it’s wasn’t sold yet, they didn’t unlock it. Maybe they unlock it when someone takes delivery?
In my area the dealership programs bikes to ride slower and after the first service they return it back to normal and the first service is always free of charge.
That’s the bike Jim allow me to try, he is a really good man. I'm only sorry to contradict you but the motorcycle quietly wheelies both second and third gear, most likely you have forgotten some setup to do. congratulations for the video!
I tried it 2 days ago .... Jim is a Ducati boy while I’m Triumph, I did everything, it is not the first Triumph I own. I like the motorcycle, the engine is always ready and the power is fine for the type of motorcycle that is not to be considered as a sport bike. The engine for me is a little too linear, perhaps by lightening the rotating masses it would rise much better than revs, unfortunately the euro 5 has ruined everything
Just watched this briefly, but i could tell right away your Multi, despite its issues, will not be replaced by this?😅 Lovely bike, but for me, being 6 ft. 4", it's not gonna happen. Read in the manual to my multi v4s that going past 5500-6000 rpm's before the first service is not recommended, but at least it's not limited. Can't wait to unleash its full power!
Euro 5 really neuters this bike bad from idle to 5000 rpm . The air fuel ratio is horrendous . In some areas near 14.8 to 1. getting that fixed with a fuel module plus a filter and simple pipe does wonders. Yeah it sucks that it needs fixing from the show room floor but it seems that's the life of euro 5 and soon 6
We’re you comfortable? Too leaned over for a daily commute? How does the riding position compare to the Ducati Supersport? Sorry for all the questions but like you, I am 56 years old and not interested in a crotch 🚀 rocket type position.
You’re sooooo right about metric vs Imperial. Time for Merica to get with it. There is nothing right and everything wrong with the Imperial system. Great video, great bike!!
Nonesense I’m 58 and still riding sports bikes like an MV F4, yes not as far or as fast as when I was younger but still doing it and I’ve got a mate who’s 70 on a GSXR 1100 and most young guns could stay with him.
@@johnblack3313 good thing you’re aware of my medical history and my neck issues. Glad you and your friends still have rubber necks at your age. And did I say I was slow?
Late to the table, but the "mode" is always shown on the display at the bottom. there kind of icons, and you cant really miss them.. Can see them here, shown under the gear number here for example th-cam.com/video/pMm5vIx53dU/w-d-xo.html
Do you think manufacturers should be able to restrict your use prior to the first service?

It is a great bike.
Have the Speed Triple RS for my daily driver and it's all smiles!
I'm a sucker for bikes with a circular headlight.

Great information. Thank you for sharing with our group.
SLR?

I wonder if the clip ONS make it less nimble. I have the 22 RS model and it's super nimble and practically corners itself

Strange ?? I bought a new 22 RR and there isn't any power restrictions

@@RemboUSMC hopefully you can ride one after the 600 mile break in period . It's pretty impressive
The rear break applies some front break
The new Moto Guzzi V100 is an interesting bike coming out but it doesn't have any power. Shame it does look really good.
In my area the dealership programs bikes to ride slower and after the first service they return it back to normal and the first service is always free of charge.
Very interesting how the first service is free. I never heard of that before.

Got the red one. Its gorgeous
Beautiful bike!
Beast! Some say it’s engine is boring, I don’t know about that i find my er6n exhilarating 🤷🏼♂️ who knows these things
It isnt boring at all. Its just refined. Its a peach (I own an 1200RS).

The BMW is the only bike I know of that can match the functionality of a Multistrada but not the passion or feel.

The Ducati Supersport is way more comfortable. Not a daily commuter bike at my age (same as yours)
awesome review brother! if i may ask, what has "comfortable/ everyday ride" ergonomics. this or the street triple Moto 2?
Moto 2 is a better choice and you will get in less trouble.
You’re sooooo right about metric vs Imperial. Time for Merica to get with it. There is nothing right and everything wrong with the Imperial system. Great video, great bike!!
I'm convinced SAE is stockholme syndrome
Bike does Sound good. The dash display looks very simple and missing information.
That’s a beautiful bike. Wish I was 20 again with a rubber neck…
Me too

5 seconds in and i could not listen to this guy.
How do you think I feel? I have to listen to him every day!
Metric? Nah.. :)
Oh I love the 2022 version of the Speed Triple RR 🙄
