    How to decide which color wire in the LED connect to which color wire on the power supply?

      @diyyangSG  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I have tried before either colour of LED connect to Live or neutral is ok. Both works for my type. But for those polarity sensitive one, if you connect wrong it will just not light up and you swap it around.

    Is it ok to just switch off the wall switch and did not switch off the circuit breaker? If test pen is faulty will the person holding test pen be electrocuted? Thanks

      Usually is better to turn off the circuit breaker, What i understand from other electrician youtuber explain is Live and Neutral wire might be connected wrongly so you can still get shocked. Faulty Test pen should not get you shocked, as you always need to test your test pen on a working circuit to see if the test pen is faulty before using it. Remember stay safe because doing own electrical work do always hold risks

      @@diyyangSG If circuit breaker off already is it confirm light no electric current or still need to use test pen to check? How you know which mcb to off for which light? What glove material prevent electric shock, does disposable vinyl glove (material pvc) prevent electric shock if I wear during change light bulb? Is wearing rubber/pvc slippers good to prevent electric shock? Thanks.

      @@jasonl4237 Generally, i always use test pen to check again, i think is my habit (I also scared to get electric shock😅) What i do if the light have no label, I will keep the mcb on and test with test pen first to see there is electricity coming in first then i turn off mcb (one by one) and check again. If after mcb off, test pen shows no light then that will be the correct MCB.
      Generally i would start work once mcb is off. Rubber slipper is good👍. I have no knowledge about glove.
      Hopefully what you can understand the step that I explain. I try to share what I usually do but must know I also not professional ah so not everything is correct😂

    Wire to brown and blue can be either way?

    • @diyyangSG
      @diyyangSG  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, if you mean the wire for LED light right? If the LED have polarity, it will not light up if connected wrongly. Just change the wire if that happens. For the one I used, I tried either way. Both works

    how to know which fuse in 0:20 ?? for hdb main door light?

    • @diyyangSG
      @diyyangSG  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Either follow the label on the light switch or safest is turn on the light and slowly turn off each MCB and see which one shut off the light
