I used to crash everytime i played jet not knowing a single thing !! Then i followed your videos and practice in the training . Now i can take out tanks and other jet pilots , however some are really tough to take out !! Thanks a lot for helping us with these videos !

I haven't even played air superiority at all yet, but will tomorrow. You truly have no clue how bad I was 2 weeks ago...... Hitting trees, mountains, the ground, I avoided jets before and now it is all I want to use. The game has expanded for me now, it has become new and fresh. Gaming With Aneervinya not really honestly. I try to get up in the jet at the begging of the match and if I don't, I grab a phantom bow and go to town. If you believe a good player who commits the time to getting good at jets can't be good in other aspects of the game you are wrong. I can still grab an extremely underpowered gun Ie the bow and pick headshot like mad, while timing my engagements and playing objectives. You never lose those skills unless you commit yourself to only flying jets. And even then you would be doing more work for your team if a single fighter can take out ten vehicles by himself. I'd rather have myself in a jet than on the ground in any scenario because chances are if someone else takes the jet they aren't doing as well as I would be. Or worse still they ditch it after flying to their sniper perch and let the enemy jet rule the sky and ground until it respawns

Nice video. Here are a couple of pro tips from myself: 1. Combine loops. Doing the same loop over and over again makes you an easy target for the AA and the other jet. 2. If a jet is behind you trying to get behind you right after it has spawned it's usually a good idea to loop towards the ground when they're near you. Most people don't have the courage to loop directly after you or will crash. 3. The 3rd person view on the Q5 fantan(if i rememember correctly) makes it shoot at a steeper angle then it's 1st person view. This is extremely helpfull when dogfighting another decend pilot. 4. Last tip: If you see a stealth jet coming straight at you it's usually a good idea to pop your ECM since like 70% of the time the pilot will either have heatseekers or activeradar missiles equipted and aimed at you(because the main cannon is shit). ECM rarely deflects missiles that have already been fire at you.

I want to just say (belatedly) that you are my inspiration right now. I am trying so hard to learn to fly in a jet, because I LOVE JDAMs, but I suck at dogfighting. I got killed three times by an ace pilot, left the game, watched this video and then went in and kicked his ass! (well, pressured him into crashing.) My main mistake is that I play a lot of BF1942 in planes. I have the multiplayer all patched, I have all the DLCs, there are a handful of servers which are populated, and in BF1942, planes are ALOT different. First of all, they're propeller planes, not jets, they go a lot slower, which makes it much easier to strafe ground vehicles as you have more time to search for targets, track him and then engage. Secondly, they actually had limited ammo, so you had to land in order to refill your ammunition once your 1,000 MG rounds were expended. You also had bombs on all planes, with a greater variety of planes, without having to upgrade them. The main reason, however, is that in BF1942, your plane will crash if you don't hold W. If you hold W, you'll speed up, if you hold S, you'll lower your throttle, but not pressing anything will slowly decrease your throttle and result in you crashing into the ground if you don't do anything about it. handheld AA also didn't exist, so you had to deal with the static but annoying flak guns.

I like your vids! The jets were the only aspect of BF4 that I just couldn't feel like I was in control of my experience. I was attempting to control my speed all wrong until I watch this and now I with about 80% of my dogfights in the Attack Jet on my first day. The Stealth Jet is "easy-mode" now unless I'm up against a good pilot.....I was getting so frustrated before because I couldn't stay alive once a jet saw me. I still can't get many kills with the attack jet, but its a least more enjoyable to stay alive for a while just to learn how to find targets and aim.

You probably should have mentioned that you use the optimal speed when someone is firing at you. Not when you're flying around taking out targets which is the main chuck of time in a jet. Good video though.
I know this is a 7 year old comment, but this is exactly the comment I was looking for. I thought I was the only one. He only says "you should keep your speed in the 300-315 range", which could be assumed to mean at all times. I assume he only means when turning, but it's not very clear.
Ugh, I wish I can practice dogfighting with another jet, but it's so difficult because every server I join has level 140 pilots. And that kill me instantly. I'm gonna cry
Attack Jets had been my favorite vehicle since they have more weapons. Not to long ago I mastered the Stealth Jets on my own. I'm going to try these tips. It will be fun to fly attack jets knowing how to master the speed control.
Prince Roberts I do use the Q-5 Fantan and I got Q-5 Dogtag. It my favorite Attack Jet in the game. Between A10 Warthog and Su-25TM Frogfoot, I would choose the Frogfoot as my secondary favorite.
Great tips, but nowadays 90% of the time the guy you are trying to tail (or the guy that's tailing you) is a pro. 10% of the time they are an amateur. So it's pretty much impossible to have fun with a jet unless you are a pro.
Ghost Gaming not my experience either. hey what actually is the perfect turning speed?, and is it different for both jets? I turn at 306-308 and have perfect turns (you can kind of feel it move swifter) but when I learnt 300 was the mark, now I am hearing 313 is the perfect speed, so WTF so many different speeds said to be optimal, maybe they have tweaked the jet since this vid. can you tell me what is the perfect turning speed please.
I usually have so much trouble flying the jet that all I can do is make sure I turn soon enough so I don't leave the map (and get killed) or I don't crash it into a mountain (and get killed).
The speedometer is okay to master speed but I figured out how supreme pilots turn even faster. The "G" gauge under the "P" and "M" calculator tells you how many G's you are doing. if you can do 9 to 10 g's you are gonna beat someone trying to figure the cornerspeed.
Ghost Gaming - Improve Your Game yeah, I have held the lock on, but the missle always seems to slide along the ground and explode as it approches the tank. Rather than attacking from above :/
Just an update. I managed to get three of the five kills I needed for the ribbon in a conquest server in an attack jet. Laser guided missle on a tank with 2 people and then a jet that crashed. For some reason my laser guided missles always seem to miss :L they seem to hit the ground next to the tank rather than the tank itself.
You can turn the auto accelerate off, meaning that you need to accelerate all the time, I wouldn't suggest it. What I done is changed WASD to pitch up/down and roll, then have yaw on the mouse to fine tune the aim, but I have throttle and decelerate on the mouse 3 and 4 buttons, so all i do is double tap the mouse button in rhythm, quite easy really, but did take me a while to get a keybind I could use properly
idk I think having pitch on the mouse is harder, we use WASD on foot all the time, so why not WASD for jet, the mouse only moves the yaw left or right to fine tune aiming, and the 2 side mouse buttons for throttle n decelerate, I rarly use throttle at all, only to take off, or to fine tune my speed if I decelerate too much. I doubt i am as good as you or other pros (I find it hard taking out choppers) but i do well, especially in the stealth jet. I never use heatseekers, only guns to take out jets, and laser guided to help take out tanks. shame that I cant get choppers too well, but on a run i average up to 60 damage so sometimes I destroy them
Exceptional vid. I have had a bit of difficulty w transition from air on bf3 to bf4. I have been loving these attack jets... What is your opinion on the fighter jets?? I have been having problems with these (leading targets with cannon).
Thanks man. My opinion on the fighter jets is that they suck, which is most people's opinion. However over on the thread I made on Reddit, people tell me that Attack jets have received serious nerfs to their turning speed on the xbox platform. I guess we can expect that to follow for PC and PS :/.
I played one guy that no matter how much I tried to follow him he would do some weird maneuver that would always get him on my 6. It never failed even 40+ deaths Later

Probably explains why I always end up drowning my jet every time I try to loop :') I'm really struggling with getring kills in a jet. It has occured to me that it is so much easier on pc due to the larger number of vehicles. Also on ps3 people never spot enemy tanks or air vehicles :/ any tips? I literally just want three jet fighter ribbons :')

In a stealth jet, when you are doing vertical loop, are you using a booster while you accelerate up of the loop or you let your jet speeding up by itself?
Do stick skills even still matter in BF5? feels impossible to shake enemy fighters, its all about who sees who first. Fuckin dog fights used to actually take awhile when it was two good people against eachother, now it's just "i have the spitfire lol GG"

@@NYG5 no actually the messersmith is better becauseit has an upgrade that improve your maneuvrability and in dogfight your turn radius is very important

My issue was the acceleration/deceleration when tryna shake someone off, I always decelerated thinking it’ll be a tighter loop, but yeah physics lol

Thanks a lot for your videos really help me, I start playing 2 months ago and I really love aircraft but really suck with air vehicles, its a little weird because I have weeks practicing with the default settings but now I can move better so I'm glad to find your channel, the only thing is I can't win a dogfight, these game its really old and have a really good player hahaha, but it's only a matter of time, nice videos.
I've been playing battlefield since Battlefield 1942 came out and never learned any of this, better late then never!

You probably should have mentioned that you use the optimal speed when someone is firing at you. Not when you're flying around taking out targets which is the main chuck of time in a jet.

I know this is a 7 year old comment, but this is exactly the comment I was looking for. I thought I was the only one. He only says "you should keep your speed in the 300-315 range", which could be assumed to mean at all times. I assume he only means when turning, but it's not very clear.

Attack Jets had been my favorite vehicle since they have more weapons. Not to long ago I mastered the Stealth Jets on my own. I'm going to try these tips. It will be fun to fly attack jets knowing how to master the speed control.
BattlefieldNFSplayer its so easy best to use the Q-5 more fire power.
Prince Roberts I do use the Q-5 Fantan and I got Q-5 Dogtag. It my favorite Attack Jet in the game. Between A10 Warthog and Su-25TM Frogfoot, I would choose the Frogfoot as my secondary favorite.

Great tips, but nowadays 90% of the time the guy you are trying to tail (or the guy that's tailing you) is a pro. 10% of the time they are an amateur. So it's pretty much impossible to have fun with a jet unless you are a pro.

Ghost Gaming not my experience either. hey what actually is the perfect turning speed?, and is it different for both jets?
I turn at 306-308 and have perfect turns (you can kind of feel it move swifter) but when I learnt 300 was the mark, now I am hearing 313 is the perfect speed, so WTF so many different speeds said to be optimal, maybe they have tweaked the jet since this vid. can you tell me what is the perfect turning speed please.

I usually have so much trouble flying the jet that all I can do is make sure I turn soon enough so I don't leave the map (and get killed) or I don't crash it into a mountain (and get killed).

The speedometer is okay to master speed but I figured out how supreme pilots turn even faster. The "G" gauge under the "P" and "M" calculator tells you how many G's you are doing. if you can do 9 to 10 g's you are gonna beat someone trying to figure the cornerspeed.
Ghost Gaming - Improve Your Game yeah, I have held the lock on, but the missle always seems to slide along the ground and explode as it approches the tank. Rather than attacking from above :/

Just an update. I managed to get three of the five kills I needed for the ribbon in a conquest server in an attack jet. Laser guided missle on a tank with 2 people and then a jet that crashed. For some reason my laser guided missles always seem to miss :L they seem to hit the ground next to the tank rather than the tank itself.
You know they have to keep locked onto the tank until the missiles hit right? If you weren't doing this it would explain things :P.

You can turn the auto accelerate off, meaning that you need to accelerate all the time, I wouldn't suggest it.
What I done is changed WASD to pitch up/down and roll, then have yaw on the mouse to fine tune the aim, but I have throttle and decelerate on the mouse 3 and 4 buttons, so all i do is double tap the mouse button in rhythm, quite easy really, but did take me a while to get a keybind I could use properly
Stinkyremy Wow dude, that sounds like a really hard setup to master! But to each his own, whichever works the best for you :).
idk I think having pitch on the mouse is harder, we use WASD on foot all the time, so why not WASD for jet, the mouse only moves the yaw left or right to fine tune aiming, and the 2 side mouse buttons for throttle n decelerate, I rarly use throttle at all, only to take off, or to fine tune my speed if I decelerate too much.
I doubt i am as good as you or other pros (I find it hard taking out choppers) but i do well, especially in the stealth jet. I never use heatseekers, only guns to take out jets, and laser guided to help take out tanks. shame that I cant get choppers too well, but on a run i average up to 60 damage so sometimes I destroy them
But you need to use the throttle to do vertical loops :o.

Personally I use accelerate first and then afterburner just towards the top :).

Exceptional vid. I have had a bit of difficulty w transition from air on bf3 to bf4. I have been loving these attack jets... What is your opinion on the fighter jets?? I have been having problems with these (leading targets with cannon).
Thanks man. My opinion on the fighter jets is that they suck, which is most people's opinion. However over on the thread I made on Reddit, people tell me that Attack jets have received serious nerfs to their turning speed on the xbox platform. I guess we can expect that to follow for PC and PS :/.

This video was really helpful ghost :) thanks. I never realised that gravity affected your turns like that. Probably explains why I always end up drowning my jet every time I try to loop :') I'm really struggling with getring kills in a jet. It has occured to me that it is so much easier on pc due to the larger number of vehicles. Also on ps3 people never spot enemy tanks or air vehicles :/ any tips? I literally just want three jet fighter ribbons :')

How do you deaccelerate on a ps4 controller? What is it called in the jet stick options?

In a stealth jet, when you are doing vertical loop, are you using a booster while you accelerate up of the loop or you let your jet speeding up by itself?
I just accelerate towards the top but you have to tap afterburner to keep your speed up

Do stick skills even still matter in BF5? feels impossible to shake enemy fighters, its all about who sees who first. Fuckin dog fights used to actually take awhile when it was two good people against eachother, now it's just "i have the spitfire lol GG"

@@NYG5 no actually the messersmith is better becauseit has an upgrade that improve your maneuvrability and in dogfight your turn radius is very important
