Hi Tom, when we were on Marco on Dec 20th they were telling people the beach was closed. You can see the orange fence at the very beginning of this video so heading north from South Seas that was the intended stopping point (orange fence). We went past it a couple of times for a longer walk but guys on gators would periodically head past the orange fence and ask people to turn around and informed us of the closure. We probably would see about 15-20 beachgoers trying to take walks in that area. Some would turn around when asked and others wouldn't. Some para-surfers were really debating the closure with the person on the gator. It was unfortunate because that is our favorite part of the beach for daily walks. Thanks Randy
Hey Randy. Thanks for the info. It makes sense that people who come for the beach, and that area inparticlular, wouldn't let a little sign ruin their time here. Seems like there's room enough for everyone. I'll try and get that "barrier" the next time I fly for an update. It will be interesting to see the project come together when they are about finished. I may ask the city if they have a rendition of the finished project. You and Angie take care and stay warm. We'll see you down here soon.
