$3 Haircut and Shave in Lahore Pakistan (with a shower?!)

- Our last day in Lahore I went in search of a local haircut and shave in Pakistan. After wandering and getting lost in Lahore I found a local barbershop to give me a haircut and shave for only $3! However visiting this local barber there was a bit of a twist as I saw locals in the barbershop taking showers, the first time I had ever seen or experienced that!

Pakistan is the country of a peaceful and lot of love here and we are lot of respectable people n caring and we have lot of hospitality over here

Usually in Lahore There are cheaper options here with the same haircut and shave... Approx 1 or 1.5 dollars

Very nice! It is a traditional thing to have shawers in barber shop. though it is has become less common now. Barbers also cook on weddings and other events.

As a Pakistani myself, I started bursting out laughing when he said that the street name was Royal Fans. Royal fans is the name of the leading fan company in Pakistan, and that was just the billboard he mistook as the street name. 😂

Its the same as any country, you visit some place that is foreign to you and you are foreign to the people too, we stare because we have similar people living in the north, and we in our head try to. Identify you, just curiously plainly. Happens to us aswell if we visit Romania and some countries like that. Perfectly fine 😃

The showers in Barber shops are called 'Hamaam'. This is very old culture with roots to Mughal times. The street you were visiting is called 'Beaden Road", it is famous for electrical households like fans, lights, bulbs etc. Thank you for visiting us.
Very happy to see you enjoying in Lahore. You should also visit other areas of Lahore such as Mall Road, Canal Road, Defense, Bahria Town etc. I mean should visit moder Lahore also.

@ 1:50 it's called "gol gappay". Eaten with spicy water. Traditional appetizers in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and many other countries.i was raised in the United States and currently live in NY and every time when I visit Pakistan, I eat these traditional appetizers a lot.
