Lahore, Pakistan ➖ Luke is in a new city and you know what's coming next... One of my favourite things to do here in Pakistan is getting a shave right on the street! I'm going to get my first shave here in Lahore, I found a local barber that could freshen me up. As I waited, I couldn't help but notice the man's cart, and I saw that he was selling a peculiar fruit. It looked like a pear, but it was so sour and tasted funky because of the masala he added. After waiting and drinking some fresh chai, it was time for my shave. The shave was incredible - so smooth, so clean & fast. I could tell he had a lot of experience and knew what he was doing. I know people always say street shaves are unsanitary, but I think the opposite. Street barbers take great care of their craft.

i'm an introvert but i still talk to a camera and do extrovert things. i just prefer to do them by myself and if i do stuff with people and socialize i need time by myself to recharge after.

The barber was really honest lad even the guys around him were suggesting him to charge you 500 to 1000 but he didn't and loved it when you been generous and rewarded him..❤️
Thats because he was doing extra stuff for him, only a shave costs 100.

@@LukeDamant haha not at all, try biting into it like an apple (with the skin). Usually less ripened ones (appearing greenish and a bit hard in texture) are the best one. Seeds are present in the middle which can just be thrown away. There's even a seedless variety

One thing I've learned about the Pakistani culture as shown in tourist vlogs that they will stuff your mouth with food that you don't ask for or even want. But they're actually doing it out of the goodness of their hearts, not expecting anything in return, just following their instinct of "looking after the next person". Please don't abuse me, I'm speaking as a Karachi-born and raised proud Pakistani myself. Just didn't realize how kind and hospitable our culture is because having it around forever, we tend to take it for granted. Keep it up my Pakistani bros and sisters, PAKISTAN ZINDABAD! ❤🇵🇰

Hey Luke, the fruit you tasted was unripened guava. You can eat it with or without the skin and I personally don't like to eat the seeds as well. Next time you find a yellow Guava, try that. It's much sweeter than the green one.

Hi Luke! These are Guavas. Brings back my childhood memories when we used to climb up the tree n eat them sitting on the branch 😄 I like the green ones better than yellow. Maybe you can barbecue yellow ones and then eat with black salt..they will taste very different and sweet !

Luke the fruit you tasted and didnt like is called "Guava" it is very good for stomach and in pakistan people usually eat this in Summer
But its better to eat this without Masala as i never recommend Masala they put on this which is kind of weird to be honest
Also it should be eaten full not like only the white part 🤣
