Great Vid Robyn, I agree it's a completely different world from resort life to the village life. The village/beach town locals truly appreciate when you venture out and see them in their own day to day environment. You can without a doubt build some great freindships that way as well.

Ok Robyn, just a hack or maybe something thats just my family but we dont spray the sunscreen straight on our face. We spray it into our hands then apply it onto our face from our hand. The fumes are too much for us :).... just something we do as a family either for each other or ourselves.. Keeps it out of your eyes and keeps you from breathing it.. We lub your vid's thanks and we appreciate you and your efforts.
Glad you showed the other side of Tulum that not alot of people see, when I was there in January I spent a whole day on the town side experiencing the local side of Tulum. So much cheaper and the people are super nice. I always recommend anyone who visits to give it a try as its what the Tulum I grew up seeing is all about.

Robyn and Laura I'm truly jealous as I sit here on a rainy Vancouver day. With the new regulations there aren't a lot of people leaving Canada with the idea of coming back any time soon, .. so if I was in Mexico I think I'd just hang in there and enjoy the beaches and travel until this new set of rules for returning to Canada and what they say will be a $2,000.00 expense blows over.

hahah! You have to tuck your lips under when you spray sunscreen on your face so it doesn't get in your mouth and keep your eyes closed for a good 10-15 seconds until it drys :)

I can tell you really appreciate the whole picture of what the local Mexican carribiean is. It is much more alive than what is shown on the surface layer at the beaches strip . thank you for capturing the real Mexican essence.

locals do not like whats going on in tulum, its basically foreigners taking over the town, and state of quintana roo is kicking out the locals
