So is no one going to talk about how the scythe that person was using to fight Yharon had FOUR attacks? In the first clip, it shows them doing a charged slash, and what looked like throwing it like a boomerang, like with most scythes in Calamity. But then, in the second clip, they spin it, making a line of fire, and then they do a dodge roll with it. I just find it amazing that Calamity has done something like that, and I can’t wait to test it out.
Not even mentioning how sick the animations looks, Fabsol sure got a great team working on this mod.
it also appears to be a rogue weapon as the player was using the eclipse mirror. but it might be a rogue/melee weapon

I just wanna remind everyone that this is a MOD, which is FREE. People made all of this... for no money. Hats off, dude
IKR, and it constantly blows my mind how much we take this mod for granted
theres hundreds of diffrent games with mods as huge as this. and I love that. and I esspecially love game devs that include mod support for fans of the games to basically make their own games (total conversion mods) as the basegame as a base. its really beutiful.
They did make money, but in a way that isnt buying the game/dlc/mod
I think they have a patreon but yea they make nothing for the mod itself

The amount of effort And dedicatiin these people put into this mod deserves more than Just love.
A lot of other mods put equally as much if not more effort into their mods. A lot of bosses are mostly vanilla AI, other mods actually put effort into balancing their stuff so their mod is playable with others, and other mods don’t receive nearly as much money as the calamity dev team does with their patreon (and mouse pads but I don’t think anyone buys those)

Fran Villa Cabero calamity balance is weird. By itself it doesn’t seem unbalanced, but when comparing it to other mods you realize that every single weapon does like twice the damage of a vanilla or modded weapon from that tier, that’s why people don’t reccomend combining calamity with other mods. Calamity’s soundtrack is nice, but it had a ripple effect where now every other mod (except for thorium and some of AA’s tracks) tries to replicate it. Now, a majority of mods have soundtracks about on par with the mod, and now that DM DOKURO has left, the mod’s new songs will be just as average as other mods soundtracks. Calamity sprites are some of the best out there, I’ll give you that. However, that quality comes at a cost. A majority of the updates this mod gets are just resprites, with a little bit of content slapped on. The devs have promised draedon for I believe months now, but instead all we’ve gotten is duke fishron 2. The devs have confirmed draedon himself won’t be in this update either. I’m not saying that calamity is bad, however it’s definitely not the best, especially when put against other mods like shadows of abaddon, mod of redemption, thorium, ancients awakened (except for the dialogue), etc. The only people who claim calamity is the best mod out there are also the people who haven’t played any of the mods I just listed, except for maybe thorium. Those mod devs put way more effort into their mods, and it shows, despite them having less budget and a smaller dev team than the calamity mod devs.

I love how if you read the changelog on the calamity discord it's clear that the devs are preparing for when they move over to 1.4, meaning that the update to 1.4 will be as seamless as possible. I like that. also providence is going to be given a special drop if you deal all damage to her at nighttime meaning she is literally going to be a reversed EoL

So there is a set that looks like something from the martians, maybe a Counter part to the snow ruffian armor, a post golem summoning set, maybe a post moonlord armor from exodium, abyssal diving suit but as an armor, and either a redisign of the astral set or something from astral monoliths
The last two could be just new sprites, but who knows?

Even though this mod has had so many updates that overhaul the game each time they come out, I'm still completely amazed every time a new one shows up.
That Leviathan sprite is amazing oh my gosh
I smell the draedon boss fight coming in either this update or the next. (Edit: because people have been talking about it, the tyrant king yharim is the planned FINAL boss of the mod, and there are 5 (I think?) bosses left to add, draedon and yharim being two of them)
What I heard is that they're doing all his weapons and stuff this update, so that when he gets added next update they can focus on the AI.
This update about to release, 1.4.4.005, is the one with all the stuff incoming
So Draedon is inside 1.4.5, they said that the update after this one haves the boss fight.
And what's after 1.4.4.005?

They confirmed on the discord that Draedon won't be released in this update

-new armors probably related to rogue again
-potential draedon debut into the mod
-Old dradeon base
-pulse pistol (new weapon with interesting mechanic)
-recharging seems to work only for draedon related weapons
-huge boss buffs
-levi and yharon are now bullet hell bosses
-wormy Astrum Deus now only 1 worm instead of hordes of them (the spawning is different too)
-new rogue/melee scythe weapon (might be a yharon drop)
-enraged providence? (with no instakill like empress)
-rainbow stormbow?
-some kind of shotgun railgun
-scarecrow minion
-freakin mech suit that i will totally use
-photoviscerator Muramasa vortex buff
-supreme calamitas sprite goes darker as the fight goes on?
calamity mod dev team really nail this update to the point of making this like a pseudo standalone terraria sequel

I think it's an intentional reference. Like how EoL has a daytime variant providence now has a nightime variant. I don't think they changed the boss to be only fought at night. That would be too similar to empress.

The fight AI rework was done in May 14th, 2 days before JE
All that was taken seems to be the spawn animation and night time enrage (note that the short snippet after the spawn animation and before the cut where providence still moves like providence from years ago)
Fabsol confirmed that he doesn't like EoL ohko-ing at day so she probably does something else
and the special drop from enraged is vanity and not something that carries you to endgame
