I can only imagine the panic going through fabsols brain right now. Wouldn't be surprised if he nerfed the ranged class as a whole just to stop this one exploit.

Fabsol isn't the only one doing balance changes or adding weapons. We had a discussion earlier about this exact thing, that we don't know why people think only Fabsol makes stuff for the mod.

I actually don't hate this tech and don't wanna see it be removed. Railcoining is super fun to do in Ultrakill and I think this really gives an incentive to use Midas Prime if not as a main weapon, then as a support!

They're going to patch this but this is probably one of the funnier glitches thus far. It's literally an Ultrakill mechanic ported over PERFECTLY.

hmm but why adjut the multi? if you are at the point where you can go for a niche setup, you can already kill everything in the game so what is the matter if you kill bosses in 1 shot or 10 shots? you are going to kill the boss either way, and you get rewarded for farming/ min-maxing you niche build...
the point where the mulipli go bananas is beyond the point of where the player is all powerful and "finished" the game... which means nerfing the numbers do nothing for the gameplay and only took fun stuff from the player :V

The damage is literally the same as scarlet devil(Stealth strike) with almost max damage accessories damn.
This is good to know, since I'm working on a Calamity playthrough as a Ranger and choosing to use the slower guns instead of the Hold Left Click = Win guns.

I messed around with this a few days ago, but really, it's not probable that you're going to minmax damage and stand still on endgame boss fights, so the damage shown here is unrealistic, i tried with a proper loadout (with mobility and survivability accesories) and the damage isn't so batshit crazy, it is still a huge nuke damage, but it's certainly not as huge as the one in the video
But overall, your point is correct, 4-coin ricoshots with snipers and daawnlight are very powerful, specially on earlier post-ml bosses due to their lower HP pool and their reduced mobility in comparation to bosses like Yharon or Exo mechs, where they can easily get out of the coin's view range

@@GitGudWO indeed, i tried on scal, idk if it was my unproper arena, but coins usually collided with the box or got out of range, for exos it was only the second ocurrence, Yharon too

They'll probably just add some kind of limit to the damage of particular weapons; or make Daawn and the marksman bullets incompatible; or just reduce the damage multiplier of coins when using the sniper weapons.
Highly doubt they'll just fuck up Ranger again.
So I don't know what they are going to do since likely the interaction with daawnlight is intended since in ultrakill the coins make shots target enemy weakpoints if possible (starting with any unique weaknesses, then if not it goes for a headshot). So I'm interested to see where this goes
I expect nothing to happen actually. It's ridiculously difficult to actually hit these crits against Supreme Calamitas/Exo mechs, when you're supposed to focus on dodging instead of little shiny projectiles you need to shoot. Not only that, but there's rarely an actual opportunity to hit a bullseye, as it is complete RNG. This mechanic is unironically a fair interaction that makes sniper rifles worth using, but not broken.
Previously, tyranny's end was the worst ranger weapon crafted after yharon, as dragon's breath and minigun would completely outclass it in the bullet department. Now there's a way for it to shine, which is good.

'Midas Prime' sounds a bit like 'Minos Prime', and itself could be a reference to the Prime Sanctum bosses? I don't know, it could be a coincidence, but it doesn't sound like one.

It's a direct reference, it has the same sounds and the unique mechanic should be a dead giveaway. There's another reference in the weapon.
When hovering the mouse over Midas Prime and then holding shift, the tooltip will change to:

They should add the 4 second coin cool down the Ultrakill has in game. That way you can JUST spam it and use only two weapons through the entire game (WOW! KINDS LIKE WHAT ULTRAKILL DOES!!!!)

I think it would be funny if Re-Logic added a mechanic where you could reflect revolver bullets of of gold coins shot by the coin gun, but I know they're going through a lot right now soooo...

it was nerfed, just tried it, fucking fabsol
from what i can see they halfed the potential damage buff from midas gun from 8x dmg to 4x dmg and reduced the spirits origins damage buff from 3.5x to 2.4x. so it lost a lot of its power
