    I have communicated this problem with flywoo technology, they will print and make a new version of the 20-30mm extended antenna mount.

    Thanks for the tuning, I tried to use them with BF4.4 with the latest ESC update but with GokuF745 stack (old one) and it resulted in controllers instantly saturating causing a flyaway so take a lot of care trying this with 4.4 & older FC. If I manage to get it running I will come back with a CLI dump.

    I was experiencing some slight wobbles when I first got the quad. I updated to the latest firmware and it got a little better, but I wasn’t in love with how it flew. I switched the pid profile setting shown here and nothing else. I lost a minute or 2 of flight time on a 660mah battery compared to before (still getting 8+ min cruise time), but it flys soooo much better that it’s worth it.

    I have BF 4.4.2. I tried only PID first. It feels slightly better.
    Then i flashed ESC and applied filters. And it feels MUCH better. I enjoyed it better picture in googles and easier stabilization. I also instaled braces, but don't know how much it helps.

    @ 8:39 .. why 48 for Dynamic Idle Value? What would happen if that was set to something like 25 (for a 4-inch quad)? Thanks 👍

    • @PattyFlipz
      @PattyFlipz  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, the example of 25 would mean your initial idle speed when armed is at 2500rpm. Try spinning the motors with no props on at betaflight motor tab at 2500rpm. If your motors don’t spin smooth it’s not a good idea. 2500rpm works really good for 5” like 2207 or 2306 motors I found. I found 48 to be good cause it provided enough initial lift and if diving motors won’t feel overload at high rpm and cause desync symptom at a fast drop.

    • @PattyFlipz
      @PattyFlipz  ปีที่แล้ว

    I have been flying this Explorer for a while now and every time I go faster than 50 mph (80 km/hr) it starts shaking. I get that it’s not a racing drone or a 5-inch quad etc but I am new to FPV and don’t have another real drone to compare it with - so I wanted to ask you if you think that’s normal and if you had the same. This happens while diving in low throttle or flying fast in lever flight. It just doesn’t like to go this fast. I am using an 850 mAh LiPo or the Explorer 3000 mAh Li Ion with the same results. Thanks 🤘

    • @PattyFlipz
      @PattyFlipz  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Great question. Sounds normal for explorer. Any sort of fast speed, wind will still shake these lightweight sub250g drones, so gyroflow or rocksteady is most likely required to smooth footage if you care about that. Not only is explorer lightweight, it is a dead cat frame which is designed to have no props in view and could effect performance and stability compared to an X. Did you try adding the stabilizers that attach to the arms? Or try my tune in one of my videos, but it might not solve all the issues.

      Double check your ports tab. Serial RX needs to be switched on for the correct UART (check FC diagram on flywoo website of the plug) Also check make sure in receiver tab you have it set as SBUS. Also check all the firmware versions are up to date on O3, controller and goggles. If all fails please contact Flywoo support.

    Great work! It's amazing to see what a different some tweaks can make :) My analog Explorer v2 has some light shaking here and there, which is difficult to notice, but strong enough to show up on the SMO4k footage. Stock tune. Do you recon that's wind or could tuning possibly improve that? 🤔 I know it's hard to tell by some text, but if anyone can take an educated guess, it's you :)

      Just trying to understand you correctly. They gave you stl file for the camera? But are you also looking for a mount for the air unit box? If so, You may need to get an adapter to fit to the bottom, such as the aluminum one from newbeedrone where o3 screws into 25x25 holes and you can screw in 20x20 m2 into the aluminum bracket. Check fitment and spacing and dimensions though, its 3mm thick. For my explorer o3 frame it has 25x25 holes and flywoo just used 4mm/5mmish nylon stand offs and longer 1.6 screws right into the o3 unit. no prints for the air unit.
