      noo pe I mean I use the pointer finger to dash to the right and thumb to go to the left, muscle memory seems to be the key to it, I remember I had an issue doing those to when I was learning stick, but it's not a problem anymore, so I'd say just keep practicing

    Plugging in a ps4 or Xbox one controller is mainly to trick each system into thinking you have a licensed controller plugged in.

    for those of you coming to this video 2 year later to check if this fightstick is good for your first fight stick, the answer is yes. However, if your looking into upgrading this stick with a Korean lever for games like Tekken, then you're gonna have to physically mod the shell of the case to fit the larger stick into this case. What I mean by that is that your going to have to drill a larger hole into the base of where the stick connects to in order to fit the stick. If your just going to use this stick with Japanese levers, then you'll be fine. I've upgraded mine with different buttons and a different stick and it's amazing. I love this stick and I would highly recommend this.

    • @nintruendo6411
      @nintruendo6411 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TraumaER Swapped in Sanwa stick and Sanwa buttons both of my setups. I also put in 8 way gates. The stock stuff is semi-acceptable but if you want a little more top quality feel and no excuses, the Sanwa stuff drops right in. Unfortunately Happ sticks and buttons are too long to fit these boxes. An extra 7mm and they'd be golden but the box is too shallow for the stick and even the short shank buttons. They also have an f300 'Elite' model now that comes with the Sanwa stuff preinstalled.

    • @TraumaER
      @TraumaER 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@nintruendo6411 So it basically is similar to bicycles. You buy it stock and generic and you wind up having to upgrade all the parts that really matter like the brakes, gear system, etc. Unbelievable LOL. I think my friends in college built theirs out of wood. But their joysticks and buttons were super legit. Felt just like a real arcade. I basically just want a joystick that inputs accurately 100% of the time. I don't care if it's pink. I'm looking at the $89.99 one on Amazon. I think the F500. By itself, it looks great. But side by side comparisons are revealing on size alone.

    • @nintruendo6411
      @nintruendo6411 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@TraumaER the 89.99 F500 still comes with the Mayflash buttons and stick. If you want top tier accuracy, you'll want a better stick and buttons. There's a wide variety of far more expensive setups but I'd still feel more confident with Sanwa parts. I'm more than satisfied with both of my Sanwa swapped f300s. The form and function is exactly what I was looking for. I also had a $200 MadCatz Fightstick TE that I put 1000s of hours on. I like the modded Mayflash as much or more because of their almost universal compatibility. The MadCatz came with a full Sanwa setup but it only works for PS3.

    Thanks for the review and good to hear it's more than decent. I'd want a stick for nothing more than messing around with the classic fighting/arcade games, nothing serious. But I stil don't want a pile of crap, I'm no expert but I used to spend a lot of time in arcades and know a horrible stick from a good one. Getting flashbacks of that really tall, rought textured stick with the big 'pill box' shaped top, it was always loose and felt like there were no gate at all.

      @bawol-official 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I compare to to learning music theory using a piano vs using guitar. Visually and ergonomically the piano is the superior learning tool for understanding the concepts of playing and writing music. Fight sticks are similar in that they visually and ergonomically make more sense in how we move and interact with our fighter than a controller pad since it's designed purpose is to work with multiple styles of games while fight sticks are particularly designed for that genre of game.

    I have an F300 and I can confirm it's super easy to mod. I added a Sanwa JLF stick with a Freakmod (mandatory upgrade), and replaced the buttons for Sanwa Silent Gen 2s. I really didn't have anything against the stock buttons, in fact, I thought they had a very satisfying feel, and were very clicky, which I think is cool. You can purchase a mayflash magic boots adapter so you don’t have to use a controller. It’s basically just a usb flash drive type adapter that you plug into the USB port of the controller. That way it’s a lot more portable and less hassle. Just plug and play. They have one for the PS4, XBOX ONE, and 360. BTW they are usually around 18 USD on amazon.

      Ricky it's really not much different from most other sticks. The parts are pretty much sanwa clones and feel very similar. And an upgrade to an actual sanwa jlf costs like 20$. I’ve always wanted an “arcade” experience when playing non-arcade type games...is it possible to play non-fighting games, say, Persona 5 or the upcoming Dragon Quest XI with a fightstick? I see a foreseeable issue that there isn’t two directional pads/analog sticks where one is for movement and one is for controlling the camera. Anybody have any input on this?
