Absolutely agree. I haven’t seen him on stage but really l don’t have to. I love his voice. His radio series are enough. As a PS Bill, Just wish you didn’t look so very pale - get some sun or VIT D!
I had a teacher that would break us down emotionally and I’d do a scene and he was literally like “nope. It’s not believable. You’re not sad.” And not only would I be there reliving my most traumatic experience for the scene, but also told that it’s not believable enough.
I've always been drawn to Billy in movies... he always does those dark movies with passion... whenever I saw him in a movie, I knew it's going to have a deep, dark plot..
Happy B-day Bill Nighy. UR amazing legend. I loved Underworld Rise of the Lycans, 1, and 2 Evolution. I watch all of them. Underworld is awesome and romantic...! Underworld remind me of Resident Evil. Its complicated. Shaun of the Dead is great. Zombie movies r awesome. Pokemon Detective Pikachu is super awesome, I love Pokemon, I seen Pokemon, long time ago. Shows and movies. All of them. And Flushed Away is incredible. Seriously! UR great. May the Peace be with u Bill Nighy. From Harlingen Texas. It's funny about the lines. I can practice my lines until I am blue in the face, but they don't sit until I step onto the stage in rehearsal, look the other actors on the face, and hear what they are saying. So yes, the work starts once everyone is there. Once the other characters show up and we start living and breathing the scene together.
Having Dupuytren's contracture myself like Bill Nighy has and having had surgery, I find it interesting why Mr Nighy hasn't had his finger's worked on?
He may be an actor and his comments are about acting but considering that most actors are so far up their arses it is surprising they can actually walk about, I am no actor, but it is obvious Bill Nighy speaks absolute 'common sense' in regard to his profession. Bill is exactly the same in all aspects of life, when I ever I listen to him, I could not agree with him more, especially in regard to his observations on life and opinions, thus he should either become a lifelong Minister for COMMON SENSE or force all MPs every year to spend a week with him, learning what common sense is.
Rarely. But there are barely any actors who can do that. He plays himself but with such convincing humanity in his performance that he makes characters believable and realistic. And if you compare his voice acting in Rango, to his performances in Underworld, to Davy Jones in Pirates and to his comedy-drama stuff... Well, you'll see he's got quite some range.
Some actors are magical. Nighy is one of them.
@Bill Nighy Do more theatre!!
@Bill Nighy
Typical Bil Nighy
Untrustworthy, a user, don’t ever trust this person
@Bill Nighy London!!
Yeah. But he keeps flipping people off, though.
This guy is a living legend man…hope he never dies
Bill Nighy is so relatable.
Masterclass. People pay £££ to hear these wise words. Not an ounce of self indulgence. Clear as a bell.
Nighy's classic rocker send-up in "Still Crazy" voids the notion he "always plays himself."
Just remembered: Love Actually!! The three were in that film!
Bill Nighy is one of my Desert Island Actors. Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan, Alan Rickman…..

I love the Charles Paris mysteries on BBC Sounds, they appear now and then (in the Drama, Crime section),hugely enjoyable, Mr.N. is terrific.
Bill should have been nominated for his role in love actually. He is brilliant in all his work but Billy Mack was iconic!
Love his subtle acting and voice. Especially in Darkworld I loved his performance, I want more of that.

The one and only Bill Nighy. Legendary actor.

"I walked on scratching my head... which wasn't particularly radical but it got me from there to there" this bit made me giggle
I loved his Davy Jones and his rockstar character in Love Actually. Such an incredible actor.
Bill and Yngwie J. Malmsteen are in agreement: "How can less be more? MORE is more!"
Definitely a great actor Mr. Bill Nighy
2:49 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 thanks for the laugh Bill, good on ya :)

I feel it in my fingers. I feel it in my toes!

Thank you for this!
One of those actors I'll watch a movie just because he's in it.
Brilliant lessons

Big man like Bill!
Davy Jones, Baron Mordo and Rick Grimes!
Andrew Lincoln how did you hide that accent in The Walking Dead. Wow!!
I’m not feeling anything… I’m at work!
How interesting!

I've never noticed the fingers in his hands until now.😟
Davy Jones
he has a disability i believe
RICKKKKKKKK
Gorgeous
Sorry, but I am unable to discern the nuances in his performances. To me he always seems to be playing Bill Nighy in every role.
Most actors do. Look at Judi Dench, she plays herself in every role too!
@@TheNOGGS she immediately came to my mind, too.
I mean for me playing myself will be huge for me. I ll be proud of myself. I don't think its as easy as you want to make it sound
That's what a great actor does
If they're a true great, IMHO ?
You don't see BOND when they play, say.. KNIVES OUT role :)
I didn't.. dunno about others...
Has he ever played anyone other than himself?
Yes.

yep but many actors do that like de niro and pacino. they're hired for 'a thing'.
