Funnily enough in a non-funny way, I have an uncle just like Bob, full of all these incredulously true stories. The difference between them is that my Uncle isn't funny and takes far too long to get to the point, much longer than Bob does.
Everything! He's Everything Funny! I can still remember years ago laughing so hard as I watched him on an episode of WWIL; he was telling the story of breaking an apple in half with his bare hands, and it was so hilarious (all his details get ya, too) I fell out of bed with laughter. Then I called my daughter about what I'd just seen and heard, but couldn't stop laughing to clearly tell her what to watch. Some time later she called back and I managed to tell her. She loved it too but couldn't believe that I didn't first mention how much he resembled Martin Freeman from Sherlock. It's a bit we call each other about - to remind each other to watch it again every once in awhile. I'm going to call her right now; she'll love it! We love Bob Mortimer so much!

Eccles Pike Well the implication is that if it’s the local authority then it’s actually a penal institution not a place for ‘gifted’ people. So it was actually a joke
It's just some generic someone with power to organise things.

Because David operates by Logic wants the world to make sense well to just go so it's Bob it's true memes that he would have to accept the deep down there's no logical order or Reason to anything in the universe so even though he knows that it's going to be true because it's Bob it's going to be weird it goes against everything that makes the universe a place with some kind of rationale somewhere

Henrik - OK. Well, piss is an old English word to describe urine. ‘Taking the piss’ is modern English slang for making fun of someone, or kidding them, like telling untrue stories. So the reference to ‘a bit of urine’ was that Bob was taking the piss out of David, which could have been untrue in itself, which in this case it was. I hope this clarifies.

I just came across this show the other day and I've been watching one video after another and I must admit, I wish I knew Bob. He is so unbelievable, yet believable.
So love watching Bob. His interaction with everyone is soooo funny, I’m crying with laughter. I could watch him again and again.
"they were allowed to bring a friend" doesn't get enough appreciation.
I watch Bobs stories over and over and they never get old. I think having Lee Mack next to him, and his quick comments, only adds to the hilarity.
