What a wonderful and outstanding tribute to the X-Blade. I absolutely loved its transformations from ReMind, and this mod really shows the true might of the true keyblade. Thank you for your hard and talented work!
This is essentially perfect. Just truly sublime as it is. You really did do a fantastic job. I think this will easily rival Forza Finale for my top spot among all your creations. It's just so incredibly exciting. The base combo is right out of the final boss, and has this simple but crushing weight to it which matches really well with all of its explosive locus skills, while the transformation combo is just wild and unhinged. It's appropriate that it comes packaged with Reflega straight-up in its base form. I really appreciate the overall design and how easy access to Calamity and the concentration on explosive and flashy locus skills really strongly delivers the vibe of getting to play Xehanort wielding the full power of the X-Blade without the constraints of having to be a fair fight. There's just a few things I'd ask you to... not really improve, because I can't stress enough what a fantastic job you've already done, but embellish, although I'm unsure if my requests are even possible. 1) 3:28 The smaller lasers in both iterations of the X-Laser locus skill seem so thin that they only ever hit singular targets, and while they appear to have some tracking, they might even have trouble with that. These smaller lasers would probably benefit from releasing damaging shockwaves or hemisphere bursts along the ground wherever they hit. Even if they're on the smaller side, AoEs like that would help make them seem less awkward next to the other amazing locus skills without needing to alter the hitboxes of the lasers themselves, and might better distinguish the usefulness of the formchange's version (due to the scattered lasers having a bit more threat range even though they're not really aiming at anything). Incidentally, I know the big golden ring laser's hitbox doesn't extend from the main beam in the boss fight either, but it's weird to see enemies move through its rings so casually like the soldier does at 4:14 lmao. 2) 11:27 It's unfortunate how XIIIth Surge's beams are misaligned with the magic circles that summon them here. Is there a reason that can't be helped? If so, you have my sympathies; there's probably no one alive who that bugs more than it does you. I'm not sure about this next input, so take it with a grain of salt, but I do think the shotlock could stand to seem a little bit more aggressive. There's only ever one magical circle "buffering" before shooting down a beam at a time; I think if there was even one more magical circle spawning in to shoot down a beam in a separate place (or on a separate target) in between each of the beams firing down in the current version, it would look stronger and better capture the feeling of the original desperation move of the replica vessels. It would probably be appropriate to have this second beam pattern _not_ zone in on the same target as the first beam pattern, but rather do its own thing and just fire off randomly if there's only one enemy/boss. The reason I'm unsure about this input is that, firstly, the X-Blade's other attacks are already shooting beams and bursts of light everywhere, so when you're continuing to attack while the shotlock is active, it really might look impressive when taken as a whole, and conversely, adding another beam blast overlapping with the current pattern might not make the difference I think it would. Secondly, I know you're probably working within certain design limitations, and if too many particle effects are on screen, it might cause optimization issues or the like when paired with all those other beams shooting everywhere. Still, I thought this was worth mentioning. 3) 12:15 Regarding the finisher, I do think it needs a bit more oomph, kind of like how you added the keyblade barrage to Forza Finale's finisher. My suggestions would be to: >Throw in a continuous barrage of the X-Lasers from Final MX in addition to Data MX's X-Lasers; this would help distinguish the finisher from the X-Laser locus skills you can already do by making it a sort of fusion of them; >Instead of staggering the attacks of the 13 shadow clones, just have *all* of them come out and attack in rapid succession, like the last wave of them from Final MX's desperation move, and do that like two or three times, because as it stands, their presence in the attack is not as strong as it could be; >End the finisher on more than one of the large X-Lasers, include both versions of the laser from Final MX (the golden ringed beam) and Data MX (the chess piece cannons that fire a big red beam) in this last volley, and in the center of the attack where all the beams intersect, include a big Ultima Weapon shotlock explosion as the finisher is whiting out. It doesn't _exactly_ matter how many cannons are involved; even 1 Final MX giant laser flanked by 2 Data MX giant lasers would be enough. You just have to make it seem grandiose and "special" compared to the previous barrage of beams. I know that might sound too much like fanfic nonsense you've said before you don't like to throw in, as you want these movesets to be as authentic as possible, but it's the X-Blade! There's no better place for over-the-top nonsense than right here. Even just adding in one of the above changes would do a lot, I think. Even if you can't or have no desire to do any of the above, I understand, and what you have here is already extraordinary and truly special. When Kingdom Hearts III first came out, I could never have imagined the modding scene would produce works as incredible as this.
One other thing I thought of. 4:19 In the Final MX version of the fight, Xehanort fires these thin projectile wheels during X-Ascension which seem to be the precursors to the big explosive orbs that freeze you in the Data MX fight. I meant to mention this back when you were asking about moves players wanted to see in your community posts, but that was one I was interested in possibly seeing. I think it makes sense to give the base form those skimpy wheels with every slash while X-Ascension is active as a sort of forerunner to getting the much more powerful orbs. It would provide further consistency to how the keyblade works.
@@therecusant I also forgot to mention this, but regarding the X-Blade version of reflega you implemented, I appreciated that the reprisal burst is toned down compared to the version of reflega you see in most mods, which includes the big flashy light bursts from the ReMind replica vessels vs. everybody cutscene fight. This one still has a respectable flash, but it's not really harsh on the eyes, and the contrast of the light rays on black has a certain elegance to it. Also, I saw from Ragingkeyblade's videos that you implemented more lasers into the finisher, and I really appreciate it! The effort you've put into this mod is incredible.

Okay, was not expecting Sephiroth and I am honestly hyped, I really couldn't figure out what would be the last transformation, I thought it could have been based on someone from Dark Road or the protag of the Union X, goatnort or somehow Yozora but most of those didn't really made sense and honestly glad that the last spot is for our beloved one winged angel.
Just me, I know, but it just feels right that Young Xehanort has the X-blade. Considering his plan began while he was that young as well as being "the progenitor of all Xehanorts", I would have liked it he was the final boss. Give him a fusion of the Goat Armor and No Heart Armor while using the X-blade that provides immensely powerful magic, and having time powers? Yes, please. Actually, I would preferred if the final boss was a Xehanort from a potential future where Riku didn't save Sora, but I digress. Young Xehanort with the X-blade just feels natural to me. Awesome mod.
I had originally just made this comment near the beginning of the video, and honestly I am in shock and awe at EVERYTHING put into this one weapon. The transformations, lasers and everything, combining Blizzaza, Firaza, and Thundaza into a single attack, and the finisher was godlike. This has been an amazing mod to follow, and this takes the cake as one of the coolest weapons thus far.

Talk about a moonlight descent ceremony, that was quite an ENLIGHTNING moveset for the X-BLADE!... hope for a BBS Master Xehanort/Core Xehanort moveset. (Can pull from the others Xehanort's forms (ansem, xemnas, young and maybe Terranort?... maybe a bit of X-blade Xehanort? Since with or without X-blade would Xehanort have ascess to the light's powers?.. powers each of them have, to make it seem he's the full Xehanort combo.)
Okay, wow, I haven't seen a mod this extensively creative in Kingdom Hearts since Vanitas in KH2. Hell, in any game in general. This is VERY good work! I wasn't convinced before, but now I will DEFINITELY try this out.
This mod looks genuinely incredible! Super good animations and smooth looking combat. Just two small criticisms though. 1. I think the shotlock could use some improvement. I feel like I should have full control over who and what I want my shotlock to target. Turning it into a sort of potshot ability kinda defeats the purpose of a shot"lock" in my opinion. 2. Summon feels a little underwhelming for it literally being Kingdom Hearts. For it costing more than the other two Locus Abilities I feel like it should do more than simply stunning enemies and shooting seemingly weak projectiles. Some possible changes could be making it cost the same as the other two abilities and only keeping the stun property, making it solely focused on comboing into other abilites. Or keeping the cost the same and buffing the projectiles a bit. Other than that keep up the fantastic work! I can't wait to see the final result!
The form is great, and the way you worked in all of his transformations is fantastic. One thing--are the lasers in XIII Surge supposed to be off-center from the magic circle or was that just the camera angle?
So at the end of all things, I have to ask again...How the hell did Sora beat this guy? lol The X-Blade moveset overall ended up being just as crazy and over the top as I'd expect from a playable Young Xehanort holding it. In all honesty, I feel like Young Xehanort should've usurped the old Master and taken it in the first place. That or that he tries to posses Sora again, but succeeds this time. Getting back on track, with how carefully you crafted each of the moves, I'm surprised you finished this as fast as you did and made it look so good. Excellent job as always, man. So that's all of the 13 Seekers done. Now what? *SEPHIROTH JUMPSACRE* ...Oh. Oh my. I have to ask for clarification, is Sephiroth a seperate thing? Or is he the last secret moveset for Another Road? Considering how much Sora and Xehanort parallel Cloud and Sephiroth, I can easily see it being the latter.
At long last the true chosen one, handpicked by the master himself, the one who would bring balance to light and dark and forge the X-blade. He will finally write his story, as no "dull and ordinary boy" could (I had to lol, great work kursa)
Imagine a timeline where young Xehanort learned to use all the other dark team members weapons and he was trained by everybody and Sora had to fight this version of him and he’s stronger then his the old version that would be a cool what if story or one with dark sora and Kairi fighting normal Sora
Idea inspired by the video: Weapon that is actually all of the doppelganger guys in the first phase of the final boss & ReMind. Could also include the 13 keys ReMind final boss moveset, either as the formchange or the base form. I could see that one meteor move where Xehanort sends all of the keyblades flying, but instead of opening up keyholes they transform into the doppelgangers.
@mobgabriel1767 The meteors? They are indeed cool, though a bit too comically slow for my tastes. I also feel like that segment would've been much more suited to X Blade Xehanort due to the keyholes the meteors come out of. Not sure what I would pick as a favorite DM to be honest, though I many would be immediately disqualified based on design philosophy alone.
I haven't been keeping track of this mod in a while. Is sephiroth going to be another keyblade in the ar mod line? Or is it a whole mod centered around sephiroth?
It’s the part that plays during the nibelheim on fire sequence in rebirth. Not sure if it’s on the OST but I found it under the name of „devastation“ from ff7 rebirth
amazing! but the Kingdom hearts summon I think must do more damage area effect (its Kh so the maximum power! ) you could try Merge the KH summon with the Light Seal?
I always use default status at all times so keep that in mind when watching these . Also many stats are not final in showcases as mentioned in the description
I have no idea about modding but its it somehow possible for the lasers to have some sort of impact effect when they hit the floor or enemy? Feels looks like they are just clipping through the floor. Also amazing work
They do have ground hit fx but it’s the same as hitting an enemy. The ground hit fx don’t really work cause they’d appear on walls aswell but not aligned correctly 😕
@@therecusant I was honestly wondering if it was something like that, since the Oldmans arena has no real "walls" and only floors. Makes sense and better not to have them, then fx being of. It's been a while! I'm the creator of the JP patch, and I just realised that I'm distributing the mod on Discord instead of Nexus, should I change the distribution location of the JP patch?
Now I think I see why we never use the X blade in combat lol, it would legit make the dark inferno, all data fights, and even yozura easy and effortless if sors had this keyblade, abilities, and formchange Edit: God forbid we START with this weapon in new game plus if it was actually in the game, nothing would be a challenge and yet still wouldn't be a keyblade master
pretty much, just think of ultima weapon we have just to the point of being too bullshit on damage that nothing would be a challenge unless they made everyones revenge values soo low to the point one hit triggers them all constantly to even be allowed to us X blade haha
The basic combo is... Quite basic, considering this blade can become a whip or chakrams or a gun. I get it's for the formchange, though. "The range is great for horde fights!" -then immediately shows off TWO massive crowd clearing laser pillar nukes and the ability to use every -Za spell with their massive range in order WHILE restoring focus As if you'll ever press an attack button with this thing

The X-Blade moveset overall ended up being just as crazy and over the top as I'd expect from a playable Young Xehanort holding it. In all honesty, I feel like Young Xehanort should've usurped the old Master and taken it in the first place. That or that he tries to posses Sora again, but succeeds this time. Getting back on track, with how carefully you crafted each of the moves, I'm surprised you finished this as fast as you did and made it look so good. Excellent job as always, man.
So that's all of the 13 Seekers done. Now what?

Imagine a timeline where young Xehanort learned to use all the other dark team members weapons and he was trained by everybody and Sora had to fight this version of him and he’s stronger then his the old version that would be a cool what if story or one with dark sora and Kairi fighting normal Sora

Idea inspired by the video: Weapon that is actually all of the doppelganger guys in the first phase of the final boss & ReMind. Could also include the 13 keys ReMind final boss moveset, either as the formchange or the base form. I could see that one meteor move where Xehanort sends all of the keyblades flying, but instead of opening up keyholes they transform into the doppelgangers.
So, basically, an Ultimate Form equivalent?
Him swinging 13 Keyblades around?

@mobgabriel1767 The meteors? They are indeed cool, though a bit too comically slow for my tastes. I also feel like that segment would've been much more suited to X Blade Xehanort due to the keyholes the meteors come out of. Not sure what I would pick as a favorite DM to be honest, though I many would be immediately disqualified based on design philosophy alone.

amazing! but the Kingdom hearts summon I think must do more damage area effect (its Kh so the maximum power! ) you could try Merge the KH summon with the Light Seal?
I always use default status at all times so keep that in mind when watching these . Also many stats are not final in showcases as mentioned in the description

I have no idea about modding but its it somehow possible for the lasers to have some sort of impact effect when they hit the floor or enemy? Feels looks like they are just clipping through the floor. Also amazing work
They do have ground hit fx but it’s the same as hitting an enemy. The ground hit fx don’t really work cause they’d appear on walls aswell but not aligned correctly 😕
@@therecusant I was honestly wondering if it was something like that, since the Oldmans arena has no real "walls" and only floors. Makes sense and better not to have them, then fx being of. Still amazing work to get all the cannons and beams transformations to work! Looking forward to the full release!

Now I think I see why we never use the X blade in combat lol, it would legit make the dark inferno, all data fights, and even yozura easy and effortless if sors had this keyblade, abilities, and formchange

The basic combo is... Quite basic, considering this blade can become a whip or chakrams or a gun. I get it's for the formchange, though.
"The range is great for horde fights!" -then immediately shows off TWO massive crowd clearing laser pillar nukes and the ability to use every -Za spell with their massive range in order WHILE restoring focus
As if you'll ever press an attack button with this thing
