Might be the 1st modder other than me who makes a KH3 boss mod, but DiamondHuntet goes beyond what I did & creates a new boss character, not based on any existing bosses in KH3. It's over Data Xion, but Data Roxas barely uses any of her moves. Animation, AI, and Attacks both from his moveset + some original ones, they are all new and it's really impressive.
This Mod is the 1.1 version he released recently, it improves a ton of stuff from the 1st 1.0 version which for those who have tried that one, I recommend checking the new version out. I bet it fixed most of your problems with it.
Highly recommend trying this out. It's a really well-designed data fight that could rival other KH3 Data bosses.

This is really incredible! Both the mod and gameplay are remarkable!! Kudos to the mod creator and you for this!! Also thank you for showcasing the KH3 battle system rather than using KH2 mods. I feel Sora’s battle style in KH3 doesn’t get enough love.

I always loved how Sora and Roxas Canonically Duel Wield Oathkeeper and Oblivion Differently
Sora
Right arm: Oathkeeper (Representing Kairi)
Left arm: Oblivion (Representing Riku)
Roxas
Right arm: Oblivion (Representing Xion)
Left arm: Oathkeeper (Representing Axel)
I never saw Oathkeeper and Oblivion as representations of Lea and Xion. The colors don’t really match up. For Roxas, they were definitely meant to represent Sora’s bond with Riku and Kairi. Making his friends literally his power
I have to disagree with oathkeeper representing Axel, I've always seen oathkeeper representing Roxas himself.
Simply because throughout days, Axel is always making promises he can't keep. But Roxas makes promises and does everything he can to keep them no matter what.
It's comments like these that make me think not playing these for the story is a bad thing. And then I remember Dream Drop.

Riku, who let's remind ourselves here is partially the main antagonist of the first game. Somehow awakes, ansem or whoever that is. Succumbs to the dark twice counting recom. And he passes. I said. Haha. Fuck this. And just play KH for the gameplay.

Excellent gameplay bro, but i gotta say something about the way characters are animated in 3 really looks off. The animation are so snappy and hit boxes are so huge that it looks like Sora is just flailing about even when played by a pro.
I don't see where you're coming from with that.
@@johnathonturner2279 if you look at the animation of 2 and 3 side by side it's more obvious, KH3 Sora moves all over the place with each swing, it's as if they wanted Sora to have better range for mob fights (which is fair) and instead of extending the keyblades range, they have Sora being dragged across the screen for better AOE.
It's hard to explain NGL, but it's something I've always felt. I think it's a big part of why people think 3 is floaty.

@@johnathonturner2279 More power to you but for me it looks much worse, I really do think a lot of the "floaty" criticism is a misplaced issue with how it's animated.

@@Substantial-hf1rmthe floaty issue is with how much time you can be in the air after each swing of the keyblade. Which surprisingly, KH2 has the least amount of.
How do people install mods?
Do they do it in pc or in ps?
pc. you make a folder somewhere in the kh3 folder (i dont remember where as i don't have the game installed rn) called "~mods" and put the mods in that and the game will run with the mods, so keep any mods you aren't actively using out of that folder
