@@Xendra Ikr? I'm really horrible at math and playing through the game I think I only beat the game and got to Riku ONCE with just pure luck when it came out on the PS2 back then. Will this mod also be ported on the PC version of the game? Or is this just PCSx2 only? Otherwise I'm gonna have to hunt down a copy of KH1FM and Chain of Memories on the PS2. lol. :) Would love it if someone killed off the deck commands TBH and added traditional fighting mechanics from KH1/2. Would be really cool. :) Would be a game changer for sure! :) :D Like give you a option for Chain of Memories like to use regular fighting skills like actual Keyblade or just use the cards. I wish they went with that option in all honesty. Or use cards and keyblade at the same time, for example, you fight a Heartless, it drops a card after you kill it, like a room, etc. Say heartless attack you while its dark room, and you can use the room to your advantage to move around with out the cards to grind and such. Would be cool. :) :D What would be a nice idea for Chain of Memories "PS2" is if someone made a revamp to make it easier to the cards to have auto attack for you or something, like card suggestions for Sonic Blade, etc. Would be neat. :) :3
@@blade8424 Man I am TERRIBLE at math and actually despise math but always found COM deck building fun. Once you make a good deck it is GAME BREAKING

Easily the best mod for KH1, it transforms the game into a completely different beast.

Kingdom Hearts 1 but it was Halloween the day before Destiny Islands got swallowed up and Sora ate all of the candy and is now on an infinite sugar rush
Now we need a mod for KH2 that makes it play like KH1.

wait until you see Style Meter + Style Stances + New Game Plus heartless layouts. The new stances will make riku's stances look like baby's first game design
@@Xendra Oh man and you're not even done adding more to it? I might have to hold myself back then until that update. Will all these features be accessible to a Level 1 Sora? I recall the extra stances for Riku were locked behind levels so never got to experience most of them.
Also I see on R/R's page you're overhauling / updating that one too? Never thought KH1 was gonna be my main KH game of this summer/year.
@@gothwood9 Every new addition will not involve levelup table specifically so that it works at level 1. Riku's stances not working on level 1 was an oversight that i never considered while I was making the mod, so i'm definitely going to fix that

I read "Allows you to fly" and just about shit a brick, this is so fucking cool and I love that the keyblade abilities are all incredibly personalized, cuz it makes them all feel badass to use

Xendra, you've been through so much shit with this mod and I appreciate your dedication A LOT! After so much harassment online, I couldn't blame you for closing the book on this mod and moving onto other things. I remember when KH for PC was first announced, the first thing I did was ask if you were gonna make a port, it sounded like such an obvious thing to do, but you said you had no intentions on doing so.
Look where we are, about a year after the PC release or this mod and you're still updating it.
You've done absolute God's work to KH1.

oh mai gad, with the series coming to steam, this will make the first game playable by today's KH standards.
Definitely the best KH1 mod out there. I've played a few dozen Crit Mix randomizers over the past year or so, but kept running into a game-stopping issue where the Trinity in Agrabah just wouldn't be obtainable.
Anyways, I'm very excited to play the new version and see if the issue is fixed! Even if it's not, this is still an absolutely revolutionary mod.

Ok I'm kinda scared of TH-cam? I literally was remembering the mod who'll put hollow bastion on kh2, and thought 'it would be nice if there was a way to put kh1 content on kh2, opened TH-cam and this video was recommended, here i have better than what i wanted. Omg

I already have KH1 on Epic, but I'm gonna get all of them on Steam when they drop. How difficult do you anticipate the mod's porting process will be since it seems like they're changing stuff with the Steam release?

More than likely a lot easier once the actual Steam ports are out.
I'm probably going to grab a Steam Deck OLED soon, so once i have that i'll try it out. If i can get it to work, i'll probably put up an installation guide

Now I like to see a mod for KH2 that adds blocking in the air and using items in the air from KH3. Maybe even Air Step to enemies.
Looks great overall! I know it said partially complete on the mod page, and I also figure it's a workaround, but having regular Sora in Atlantica does look a bit unpolished. Genuinely not trying to shit on the mammoth effort this took, that's my only real critique! (I'm also one of the rare, crazy people who actually finds video game water levels pleasant.) Looking forward to trying this after work today and getting a new spin on one of my favorite games.

Be honest I would appreciate the slow motion for when I navigate the menu in kingdom hearts one and two. Under most circumstances most magic I need would be short cut but I believe kingdom hearts 1 and 2 have secret bosses that have moving shock commands

Should this work on the Steam port of the game, or do you think you would have to make some adjustments? I'm not familiar with modding or even if there should be any noticeable differences between the Steam version and the EGS version.

I know the atlantica combat is a work in progress but im genuinely unable to get past ursula 1 without the game crashing. Is there any workaround to this?

I'll say this much Its going to make Sephiroth's and Xemnas fight much easier. The stiff combos made the game challenging. I'll definitely give this a try

you can toggle the 2 atlantica scripts off in LuaFrontEnd to stick with mermaid Sora

Second Chance does not exist in this mod which really changes how you need to approach managing your HP/MP/revives

Unfortunately not, the patches to the game files rely on running the english version. All of the new text would still need to be translated as well, in order to know what things do

Is it possible to not skip destiny islands with the mod instaled?
Right now destiny islands is just used for some placeholder postgame content (gigajuiced FF trio), but the next update will offer an in-game choice between Island Skip and regular Island.
The postgame version of the Island in that update will have an enemy + boss trio randomizer that also upgrades regular enemies into bosses. I've already got this feature working, but it has an issue where enemy AI turns off after killing a regular boss type enemy.

this looks pretty cool, but did there need to be so many revive mechanics? Almost completely turned me off!
it is not quite what it seems. revives are certainly NOT free, there is a big opportunity cost to sacrificing accessory slots, item slots, or your keyblade passive to get bonus revives. you are also way more prone to suddenly die than you are in regular 1FM. The Auto-Link revive basically replaces Second Chance.
Its needed with how hard it is def is basically not a stat anymore making every build glass cannon

unfortunately not, there is an emulator version but that requires things that actual hardware is not capable of doing (and is now very outdated)

I wonder iWao, i think this truly fix KH1. Vanilla KH1 is so awfully bad, but with this, i think it makes it pretty great.
I wonder if we would ever be able to play CoM in a better state, coz as it is vanilla, is insanely bad.
