I know this is late but watching you send guys down the maid road when there was a visible flanking route to the left was giving me an ulcer.

No idea if you've learned this since then or if you even continue to check this video's comments, but whenever you have a fighting position up, try to get rear echelon troops in them if possible.
The fighting positions seem to only allow 4 soldiers max to stand inside. Though I am not certain whether putting, say, a 5 man squad will have 4 men visually but 5 men stats-wise, but it seems like it's only the 4 men you see. So if that's the case then cramming a 5- or 6-man squad inside is inefficient. But aside from that, rear echelon troops will also automatically fire rifle grenades when inside a fighting position. You witnessed that during the Dog Company portion of the tutorial mission. I don't believe any other squad gains that.
If you can get a rear echelon squad with a bazooka dug into a fighting position with an MG, you can have a real nice, compact defense against both infantry and light armor as they'll continue to fire grenades even with the bazooka. If you're playing a doctrine (or company in the Ardennes campaign's case) that has the M1919 available, add one of those to the squad along with the bazooka. Fantastic point defense in my experience.
So the side missions are random, that's very cool. When I played this mission the side mission was to destoy a broken down tank.

You are much more better than every other CoH player i seen yet. Greatly done, but more improvement needed. Good on taking care of your soldiers, while lack of coordination and support.
The m1 garand isn't canadian. It's a us made rifle that was developed by springfeild.

Whats more intetesting in the US campaign, I believe if you choose any of the commanders or companies on the objective maps, they all have different dialogues regarding on that specific objective map, and depending your casualty rates they'll talk about if they are either fit for command or if they talk about if they ever make it out alive, or celebrate of the low casualty rate.
Ya, At The End If The First Mission, It Was A Fairly Messy Retreat, But Those Where Well Armed Germans. As I Thought You Where Securing The Retreats Flanks, Those Armored Vehicles SMASHED Through. Good Video!
try to use arty abilities more as well as units ability rifleman get anti tank grande at vet1 and doe damage if point it at rear more......and units in red cover take more damage and suppression try not blob them keep them separate and together...try to flank units.....still very good play keep it up

4:30 The Garand was not used by Canada. They used the Lee-Enfield, same as other Commonwealth countries.
You either changed your mic or your voice box or both, but man this soudns different than your newer vids :D love it
you can use hold Control 1-0 while units are selected to create groups useful for sorting troops out.
You can disembark and repair the tanks and vehicles.
American vehicle crews can jump out to repair in down time or in a hurry if you back off your vehicle from the main fight. Just helping you out since you have not played them before!

The thing i noticed about this game was how closely you have to watch company strength. every troops life is worth a lot. if your company strength gets too low you pretty much lose most of your combat effectiveness. and it doesn't help that the game doesn't really reward you after each main objective is complete (capping territories). i guess it shows the point that the allies were cut off. good expansion non the less
Also, with the "tank destroyers" Wolverine or Jackson you should "prioritize vehicle" by clicking the tank in the cross hairs button! This also works with Anti Tank guns.

I love it when you curse its never repetitive or too much at a time its always fitting and at the right moment to gimme a laugh I like you, good job. Edit: Oh and am I the only guy that plays the long game? Like saving up supplies getting tons of troops reinforcing a lot until I know I have enough to completely outrun them? Or is that a bad strategy?

If you want a tip then you can garrison rear echelons in foxholes. They'll fire rifle grenades, and as far as I know, only REs can do that.
Ah, many thanks! I start to do much better later in the campaign, so this seems to be a warm up. Plus, I never played as the US and wow are they unique!
Kein Problem, my dear superb entertainer and connoisseur of fine tactical war games.
Another tip is to, like others already said, to use US vehicle crews to crew vehicles with. They can also repair vehicles at an absurd rate but are very vulnerable to lead and other hazards when not inside their tin cans.

Er..... just letting you know, charging a machinegun squad is near suicidal with unsupported infantry. Either keep advancing before you get pinned down or use explosives.

The Pathfinders support the Paratroopers with the beacon because the whole point of the creation of Pathfinders in the US army was to scout and lay down safe zones for Paratrooper paradropping.

Hey Raptor great video really enjoyed watching you play some Company of Heroes, just a quick bit of advice that might help you in this campaign try and use cover as much as possible and remember that cover is directional so you can be on the wrong side of it. hey raptor in the second mission you commented on not being able to upgrade ranger's with weapons the first mission showed you weapon rack upgrade letting you use the BAR rack witch means that it's an instant upgrade and any unit can use it as long as they have free hands. also if it's like the british in the first COH getting the officer squads let you get more unit's from your base. though i dont know.
That's true. I will soon remember to go back to base for upgrades. NEVER played as the Americans until this game, so I have MUCH to learn!

With roguelikes coming into vogue ahen this was released it is odd that people complain about that aspect of the campaign.

The less you use it, the higher your score at the end of the mission. Granted, I don't believe the score really impacts much outside the just being a measure of your capabilities as a player (because putting up that defense without the artillery can be difficult in the later waves).
why take the objective using the main road, you got a whole forest for cover at the left side.
Its a shame you didn't chose the support company. But to put it into perspective sometimes the best defense is the best offence. But great video by the way love watching you play

If this thing wasn’t six years old, I’d be all for giving advice. But given that it is, I’d almost certainly be repeating things other people have said
First thing first, you can get your tank crew from your tanks to get out and repair their own tanks. Also they didnt sabotage the Panzer IV your wolverine destroyed it when there were infantry behind it. Wolverine are supporting TD not meant for 1v1 you dont use a sniper to face volks. The second mission to be honest was sloppy. You could of called in more AT or unlock bazzoka for the rangers at base, Nice try trying to demo charge the brumbar you amost had it. But like you said its your first time you'll get better some day.
