A bad battery can throw codes and cause malfunction.

My battery reads charged up but my friends suggested I get it load tested, good alternator reading

One tranny shop sugge😢sted I replace the solenoid and filter when I suggested let's try filter change, I guess he suggested that that way you only had to drop the PAN once. I read that feathery slivers on the PAN magnets are OK but if you have chunks with sharp edges that's when you have transmission problems, I'm tempted to look at that myself I have a 94 Lexus ES 300 , only 47k miles and I'm getting the shift solenoid A Electrical P0753 code and it starts great in LOW but in DRIVE starts in SECOND per a tx tech. Per the club Lexus siteI tried unvarnishing the solonoid with Berrymans B12 it helped for a little while but the code comes and goes and in DRIVE it always starts out in SECOND gear, should i change the filter myself, while down there how would i do the 12V test if the solenoid? i have the repair manual so i should be able to locate the wiring to the solenoid, a young fellow on Craigs list said he would ck the tx pressures but he never replied when i asked for 3 references. Any idea on this tranny, the tx A541E, if the valve body has to be dropped to TEST the solenoid? Does valve body need to be dropped th change the solenoid? I m in greensboro, nc if anyone nearbydoes this wk? my first plan is to let a shop recommended by a tx shop ck the electrical wires. I have considered cking the main wire connection to the tx and spray with QD electrical contact cleaner? Someone suggested coating or spraying the connector contacts with dielectric grease? As the weather got hotter the car did stall a few times but I cleaned the battery terminals put seafoam in the gas tank and went to non ethanol regular I may try some ethanol premium also but stalling seems to have gone away, I don't think non ethanol premium is easily available
