    This was by far the most humorous video you've ever uploaded. It made me happy. Great stuff !

    Wow, I have one of those Subs in the cuboard....actually a few, I found a company who didn't know what they had and were only charging 25 euros if you bought 3 when no where else had any! Lucky day, I'll make a few of these, thanks...oh I bought 2 of your courses....thanks....

    Brilliant Marius! I have done your Crossover and Audio Build courses so eh! Just to say, as far as I can see, the world is indeed flat! That's cool as you won't need a table to put things on! xD

    Lol that response is better than most 10k Floorstanding speakers 😂

    >It is good to see you have designed the 'tweet' to be 'on top' of the midwooferes/MF -although tweets look good 'in-line' on a boombox or if purely 2-way. All your work is great!

    Im building a 2.1 speaker with this amp and the same subwoofer. But with fullrange drivers. And the sub tuned to 40 hz (-3db=35hz), (12 liters, 17cm long 4 cm diameter port).needs to sound good outside too🎉 I made one with the tangband w5, it digs down below 30hz with 8 liter volume😎

    Great boombox! I really enjoyed your funny commentary. You have a good sense of humor!

    Beautiful! Your gluing skills are top notch, as you mentioned. Specs say it runs on 12v-24v. Wonder if it could be battery powered? What amp hour rating could give us 4 hours of play time at 50% volume? Tha ks for the build video. It really does look and sound nice :)

    Nice project! Think I might build a version of this for myself, but there are too many other projects first in line.
    Anyways, I really enjoy watching your videos! Hope you can keep it up:)

    Salut Marius, imi place cum lucrezi. Poate la urmatorul proiect incluzi si masuratori on axis si offaxis.

    So, i like the fr flatness and consistency, but i would want direct control of the sub as that doesnt even resch as low as alot of small bluetooth boomboxes. Tribit stormbox blast, jbl boombox 3, dbsoarsf29max, wking x20, all either smaller than this or similar sized and play to ~90db hitting down to 45-50hz, and well over 100hz with their dsp rolling it off after 100hz

    I love the boombox projects and the limitations for me is the amps hope u can make a video for a great outdoor boombox maybe use amp based on tpa 3255 chipset that’s a gap to be filled cause a small box like this video I would go Marshall boombox instead of building this cost wise. So maybe if u can’t sonsider a 1cu. Ft type or little more larger boombox for outdoor. 3255 chipset has more power and if u can make it stereo instead of 2.1 cause dsp costs more so maybe a PA type 10” wooofer pair and maybe peerless Fullrange TC 9

    Can u suggest a passive crossover for this boombox please
    I cannot buy Arylic in my country

    looks great, but not much so in accoustics standpoint. Those ports shouldnt point upwards. Same goes to the gigant subwoofer in a small enclosure. Otherwise, great build!

    Hello Marcus. Love your work (bought your courses on Udemy) and recommended them on DIYAudio. By far the best one-stop shop for learning Loudspeaker Design in C21. I have a Q: Do you have any measurements of that Arylic amp? Or the HDS GFC 4" midwoofer?

    • @AudioJudgement
      @AudioJudgement  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t have the right tools to measure amps. However, you can find the spec sheet of the Peerless driver online

      How does this plate amp work in multi-room audio? Can you send the L channel to the one 2.1 plate amp, and the R channel to another 2.1 plate amp? This way, one could build a pair do 3 way speakers….

  • @dieguerrero
    @dieguerrero ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice boombox!!! Why did you use passive crossovers if the amp has dsp where you can set the crossover points, slopes and EQ?

    • @AudioJudgement
      @AudioJudgement  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The tweeter and mid-bass driver are on the same channel (since it’s a 3 channel amp and not 5 channel). So you need a passive crossover there.

      @@AudioJudgement im using tpa31116d2 it has 2.1 so if i want to using tweeter with the same channel its better to using passive cross over too ? How to calculate value of cross over components ? Whats ur ?

  • @StickySli
    @StickySli ปีที่แล้ว

    If only they made a bi-amped stereo or 4.1 / 4.2 amplifier with DSP, this would shine in many ways. I mean this because the passive crossover would be essentially eliminated, thus reducing the weight of the boom box substantially, only requiring a safety capacitor for the tweeter to not blow it up when the DSP is not setuped correctly.
    Is there any reason you used two ports instead of one? My guess is that you needed a larger port to not introduce chuffing at high power outputs from a smaller port.

    • @AudioJudgement
      @AudioJudgement  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes. A single 2" port would be slightly better, but the ones from Precision Ports have large flares and are difficult to fit in this box. Also, 2 smaller ports look better in this case.

    How did you design the crossover before building the box and taking measurements?

    • @AudioJudgement
      @AudioJudgement  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You need the box already built to design the crossover. I made the measurements on another box just for testing before doing the finished product.

    How did this boombox perform vs your earlier boombox you made 2 years back. whihc is louder and better bass?

    • @AudioJudgement
      @AudioJudgement  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think they are equally loud as far as I can remember. This one has better bass because it has a subwoofer, however it is larger in size.
