If you want your horse to go faster because I saw that he/she was a little slower than the flaxen colours horse in front of you. All you have to do is lengthen your reins to make him/her feel less restricted to his/her speed. Looks fun. 😀
Oh man, I wish we had forest roads like this at the stable I go to :D We have similar ones, but they're very short and bumpy with lots of rocks, so there are only a few places you can gallop properly...
Being with a group is always hard.. you gotta hold back a lot, like with racing you can get pass each other it's way nicer [especially on beach] but in forest, this is amazing l love your video! whats your horses name?
Oh l see, it's kind of the same thing l did, l went on a beach ride with a group from a stable We were going to the beach in a row like behind each other But, l was second last, but my horse was way quicker than the others And it kinda frustrates me when they say you may not pass the other horses Especially if you got a horse who's quicker Some people go to the beach and you can pass the others, it makes it more fun some horses if they get to close to others, the other horses might kick, that's why l dislike it, especially for run gallop if you fall off that on the beach, breaking something could be a chance.. but still l love doing it, Where is this stable?
hopefully the horses got a nice rest in there somewhere, it says you did this in summer heat, too. You were running hard for quite awhile and whipping him to go more when he slowed.
When I want to ride for comfort, I ride bareback. When I want to ride for control, I ride bareback. When I want to ride to stay on better and go faster, I use a saddle. I've always felt that bareback is more comfortable. My horse is also easier to control bareback, obviously because I am closer to her and have closer contact.
what fun, I can see that you ride with your reins 'bridged' which is perfect for gallop, but I agree with Contivii that you need a bit more rein as the horses movement keeps pulling your bridged reins out and you then have to fight to put them back. DO not get me wrong, you ride beautifully and I know how at that speed you need to feel you have some control and contact but I think just a hint x enjoy
I haven't been able to ride for almost 6 months now... I miss it so much it hurts. .___. Awesome video, it really shows the genuine feeling of galloping :)
well I have fell of couple of time but got back on the saddle; here was couple of times when I doubted how this is going to end, now days using racesafe's "airbags" :-)
This looks like so much fun! My boy loooves to gallop, is always at the front of the group, but unfortunately we only have a few gravel stretches and fields full of rabbit holes here, nothing really safe enough to let him go... I wish I could take him somewhere like this!
awsome :D i do that on my horse Princess, she used to be a cattle horse so she listens well and shes very fast and crazzy.. now shes an exellent jumper :D
I wish I was confident enough to do this! I lost all confidence this summer when a horse took off with me full gallop then decided to completely stop and I went straight over his head ( like super woman) through the trees and shattered my helmet :/ the entire ride home my knees were shaking! Anyway, great video! beautiful horse!
Your name means "lover of horses". You were born to learn to ride. I love teaching beginners--- start just by being with horses , observing them. Then learn to work with them on the ground-- assist a trainer, perhaps. Read a book or two, watch instructional videos from the library ( get those mirror neurons firing in your brain). Then find a good teacher--- watch lessons at a few different stables and get a sense of how they work, if they stay calm and patient, if they make an effort to work with an individual's learning style. Learning to calm yourself is helpful--- long deep breaths, consciously relaxing your muscles-- before you ever ride. It's impossible to relax and be tense at the same time. There is no shortcut to build confidence.
I'd love to be able to ride like that. I only did once as a kid and the saddle started slipping and I fell off. Now I'm afraid to even go faster than a trot. If there was nice straight land, then I might give it a try again.
Mika Leppakoski Well, though I can say at least it hasn't stopped me from getting back in the saddle. I just don't ride enough. I just need more riding experience before I try going faster than a trot.
Actually with this horse the saddle slipped on the right side one month before but I managed to grap the horse and continue with "Indian style" gallop :-D :-D :-D
Ride bareback then. Bareback is the safest way to ride. If you fall, you'll just slide off. You won't get caught up in the saddle, and the saddle won't randomly slip.
+Bridie Vlogs Western riders don't leave the reins THAT low that they get tangled in the horses legs. And i can tell you know nothing about our style of riding. We train our horses to react to weight transfer and touches of the reins. Our horses don't react to the bridle as effectivly as their horses. So when we sit back, our horses WILL stop. Don't comment if you know nothing about our riding ways.
+Bridie Vlogs there were plenty of times that he had a ton of space to give him his head. And western riders do not leave the reins low enough to get tangled in their legs lol!
I can't wait to be able to do this. I've been wanting to ride fer awhile but we could never find a place to ride at. I've loved horses fer a very long time. I'm finally taking lessons which are doing great. Soon I'll be showing by next year hopefully. I'm also saving up fer my first horse who would happen to be great at showing. She's beautiful! She's a red roan qh named Jayzee. I have pictures of her on my three accounts. @zeldaluv789 and @my.six.pets and @horse.riderz
mean while I screech when I get my horse to trot but she jumps into a canter for about one stride before trotting XD. I was okay with it before but then I fell and got a concussion (first one so I had no idea hat was happening) after I lost control due to a tack malfunction. tip: NEVER use a dry rotted curbstrap
The gallop went on for to long so dont whip her if she slows down she muxt be really tired and i hope she got a god rest when she got back .als of you want her to go faster then losen the reins and let her go .
I gallopet not so long ago and it was only my 2 time and the horse just took of so i was not ready for it and i still stayed on :-)and FULL speed to im just 13 and i was not ready to die
Hahaha my thoroughbred wouldn't stay so far behind horses he would try to outrun them like he always do😅😅 yeah we have so much work in front of us until I teach him not to do that and stay calm and keep on his mind that I am still on him and I lead the speed and so😌
No offense but the horse was out of control galloping it’s very dangerous you could fall of and lose your horse or you could crash into people on other horses
i love the sound of the horses feet hitting the ground :)
+taylor nicole
hooves, check ur privilege :P XD
claudiadaisy i know what the hell they are called. maybe i just wanted to say feet.
+taylor nicole :-D
taylor nicole ikr
Exactly!
I remember my first time I did full speed. That was the best day of my life! You and your horse look like you're having so much fun
If you want your horse to go faster because I saw that he/she was a little slower than the flaxen colours horse in front of you. All you have to do is lengthen your reins to make him/her feel less restricted to his/her speed. Looks fun. 😀
there's no way my horse could ever handle so long galloping! :D amazing, you have great paths in Estonia ;)
Lucy Zebrayard it is at Estonia, North-Europe and breed is Estonian. Filmed by GoPro Hero 3 with straps on :-D
Oh man, I wish we had forest roads like this at the stable I go to :D We have similar ones, but they're very short and bumpy with lots of rocks, so there are only a few places you can gallop properly...
I wish we had such long ideal paths for long gallops *sigh*
Hi
Karoline GolImer Same!!!
I literally have no where to safely gallop!!
Gorgeous area! Reminds me of the trails by my family's cabin in northern Pennsylvania.
How long does it take for your horse to tire and need a rest while galloping?
+Lillyleaf101Mew these Horses can ride whole day just lunch break in the middle, they are very strong and used to it :-)
Woah! Such impressive animals!
:-D
Great stamina...! how much was the total distance and how long the horse gallop..?
Woow we have very similar road in the woods here in Hungary :)) but i never gallop that much.. I envy you and I want to go Estonia ^^
Being with a group is always hard.. you gotta hold back a lot, like with racing you can get pass each other it's way nicer [especially on beach]
but in forest, this is amazing
l love your video!
whats your horses name?
Thx, This one is Ringi :-D
Gorgeous name! Do you have more horses?
XxMaritxX they are not mine, it is a commercial stable at Estonia which I was just visiting :-D
Oh l see, it's kind of the same thing l did, l went on a beach ride with a group from a stable
We were going to the beach in a row like behind each other
But, l was second last, but my horse was way quicker than the others
And it kinda frustrates me when they say you may not pass the other horses
Especially if you got a horse who's quicker
Some people go to the beach and you can pass the others, it makes it more fun
some horses if they get to close to others, the other horses might kick, that's why l dislike it, especially for run gallop if you fall off that on the beach, breaking something could be a chance.. but still l love doing it,
Where is this stable?
Epic is that your horse?
no, it is a rental horse at stable in Muhu Island Estonia :-D
ok
ok
hopefully the horses got a nice rest in there somewhere, it says you did this in summer heat, too. You were running hard for quite awhile and whipping him to go more when he slowed.
Good long gallop for hot summer day and good whipping to keep the speed up. Great video!
I love going full speed, I went bareback a couple days ago!
sounds great, but I like to have saddle ;-)
When I want to ride for comfort, I ride bareback. When I want to ride for control, I ride bareback. When I want to ride to stay on better and go faster, I use a saddle.
I've always felt that bareback is more comfortable. My horse is also easier to control bareback, obviously because I am closer to her and have closer contact.
What type of horse were you riding?
Estoian horses, not so big ones but longlasting, like me ;-)
what fun, I can see that you ride with your reins 'bridged' which is perfect for gallop, but I agree with Contivii that you need a bit more rein as the horses movement keeps pulling your bridged reins out and you then have to fight to put them back. How did you record it?!
With GoPro Hero 3 Action Camera
Where exactly was it in Estonia? :)
Imma use the sounds(no vpice, galloppng sound, for a series, imma credit you in the description box:)
I haven't been able to ride for almost 6 months now... I miss it so much it hurts. .___.
Awesome video, it really shows the genuine feeling of galloping :)

I love galloping

Where in Estonia? :) I am an Estonian rider and would like to know.
At island Muhu :-)
What's it like to do a flat out gallop? I have only ever done a canter and a little gallop by accident
it's great but as you can hear it's also breath taking :-D
Mika Leppakoski You got that right xD
:-D
:3
Sure it is great :-D. Only thing that can win it is gallop at sea :-D like this
Full Gallop at Beach @ Hiiumaa island Estonia
Wow awesome canter and gallop
Good horse great rider, but just be careful you don't eruge him on too much because it'll teach him to nap back to the ride :)
preco si tak dlho cvalala?

Brilliant video. I have done some great gallop videos, but nothing as long as this.
Galloping is the best thing ever, no matter where you are it's still amazing.......

PrettyPucci LoveHorse I
BEAUTIFUL! And fun! What a way to go horseback riding (safely) as I am not a horse rider! I'm too chicken. :)

I love galloping through my trails! it's so fun and it's lovely bonding with my horse/best friend ^^
I need to get a GoPro so I can make videos like this
AquaBrumbies That would be nice :-D, I think that it is better to have camera at chest harness than in the helmet More stady movie :-)

I have falled several times and broken bones :-D When u start to fear something they will true fore sure ;-)
Mika Leppakoski Well, though I can say at least it hasn't stopped me from getting back in the saddle. I just don't ride enough. I just need more riding experience before I try going faster than a trot.
dondena21 When u get back on saddle then its already half of the victory :-D. You cannot learn even sailing with no wind and only in sunshine :-)
Actually with this horse the saddle slipped on the right side one month before but I managed to grap the horse and continue with "Indian style" gallop :-D :-D :-D

De jó 😏
Magyar videós 😏☺
No need for music (((:
Looks real fun!!!
on the weekend, i always do these things, it's fun ! it's exciting when you run through trees, or flat road, etc.
that is epic :-)
but in my hometown there's no country road like in your video... it's all mud and rocks !
:-D
@mika leppakoski i would like to go to Estonia, but i'm in Indonesia, a very south east Asia
nice, well that is very very far way :-D
I normally have to gallop in fields... Not many great dirt paths round where I live.... Still amazing tho
Can't wait 'till summer :'D
I wish we had that trail here!!!
English riders are so uptight. I would have dropped those reins and had a marvelous gallop!
When people are in front what If your horse didn't stop and gets kicked or worse your rains got tangled in your horses legs

+ღAnneDreamsღ that's exactly what I was thinking, the way you described it is perfect
+Kenna and Redcloud Thank you! Glad I could explain it well!
I galloped for the first time on Monday at the beach I fell off my horse named Mango
I love it when I'm last of the group because on the beach we usually trot but I was far from the group so I could gallop 😎
thats canter
That's gallop, canter is smoother, you can hear that it's gallop .-.
🐴😑 no its not
chloe jones it is, tbh every rider would know that its gallop.
you must not be a rider...
Lol have u ever galloped
Ha, those are the people I'd like to ride with, not afraid to go on a proper gallop!
I can't wait to be able to do this. I've been wanting to ride fer awhile but we could never find a place to ride at. I've loved horses fer a very long time.
