Do multi drag washer in such casting reel increase drag power or not? Can u find out this for me. Why some brands reel have only two carbon washer and some other have more like three carbon washer. And one and more mattle washer in between. Why so can u tell me sir ?
hey man just wondering is this the same as when i reall no matter how the drags set it just slips.... with any pressure on the line even just the bait in the watter will case mine to slip.... or atlesst thats what i think is happening. do u think i need a new drag washer?
It's very possible you need a drag washer. Are you using braid as a backing? A lot of time it's not the reel but the braid slipping on the spool. Check out my other video on how to stop your spool from slipping with braid. It's a bit of an older video but still holds true.
@@WillSelbyKayakFishing not braid slip dont need drag washer spool is not atached to the rod that it sit on so they dont turn as one.. the shaft that goes threw the spool with the pin threw it to grip the gears in side the reel or remve it to change that bearing that shits net to the spool are not together the spool just slides down and out the oppisite side of the pin in the shaft
I’ve recently had a problem with 2 of my baiting reels where without pushing the button it will randomly freespool and give me a backlash every time I go to set the hook my reel goes completely freespooled like I’m pushing the button to cast I’ve tightened my drag all the way to see if that was it and it’s not and if I put my thumb on the spool and nudge it forward and let go my line starts freespooling again i don’t know what’s wrong or how to fix it it’s never happened to me before first it was my 13 fishing origin SE now it’s happening to a bps brand reel they don’t make anymore the 13 fishing reels about 1-2 years old and I’ve never serviced it and my other bps reel is about 3-4 years old and never serviced either any tips?
I would recommend having them serviced. We can do both reels for $60. That includes the clean, lubrication, inspection for issues, and shipping back to you. This is an old video and I've maintenanced 100's of reels since with zero issues. You can also visit us on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or email. bassanglerbaitco@gmail.com
well done!! I added this to the main video section of The Bass College Thanks

So could the washers be a problem with my handle? It moves left and right and if I pull it out a little bit it won’t engage into the button.
Thanks for the info but you could just say "wipe off your drag washers to increase power"

Both reels have fluorocarbon line on them
