excellent video although I am more impressed with the cleanliness of your mechanic, how many wardrobe changes did it take to make this video

    Please be aware.
Much cleaning and greasing steps have been missed.
Also, always clean the discs with brake cleaner.
Use synthetic brake paste, not copper slip!
This video is only any good to show you what size sockets you meed etc... it's not an actual walk-thru for the work!

Thank you for the feedback! You are absolutely right. The video is informative and shows only the general principles of the constitution and the operation of the car and it is in no way to be taken as a manual for repair and maintenance. Best regards, Autodoc.

@@autodocuk if you are saying that you need to change the title of this video as some people might think that you are showing here the correct way of replacing the breaks and will do the same on their own cars.

Thanks for the great vid, used a floor jack, did one side at a time and was done with both in about an hour. Pretty easy job...use caliper grease and anti-seize the lugs while your there. Got parts from Advance Auto and with the ON-LINE order-30 minute pick up with their promo code it came to $98 Pretty sweet cause the dealer wanted $380 Thanks again !

Way to go !!! Just rattle the calliper frame bolts and wheel nuts up with an impact driver. I'm sure your public liability would love that.

Valid point; techs are responsible for setting correct torque on their drivers. I have a hunch that a great many forget (or never were taught that) or just skip it.

It is already mentioned to clean the disc and use some copper grease but very important is to pump the brake pedal a few times to bring the pads to the discs before you start driving or you will be in for a very unpleasant surprise…😮

Mark tire and hub so it goes on the same as it was. Why invite new problems?

I have a Focus mk2 facelift, it uses the same system. But when changing discs and pads, isn't necessary bleeding the system?

Certainly with the Ghia spec which that car appears to be or at least they are Ghia wheels , the key/adapter should come with the car.

Waste of money and hassle if lost by garage, wheels probably won't get nicked and cheap to replace on eBay

Dude doesn't own a torque wrench. Never mind copper grease.

Thank you for your feedback! You are absolutely right, one needs to use lubricants and carry out the tightening with a torque wrench. Our new videos won't contain such mistake. Best regards, Autodoc.
