Glad to hear about the cons as well as the pros. The facts that it’s louder than a non-comped gun, front-heavy and runs hot are really good to know. I may opt for the regular Shield Plus 3.1” instead. 🤔
They are both great options at the end of the day.

I just picked up the m&p metal carry comp last week and it’s become one of my favorite pistols, and so far, I’ve been eyeing the shield carry comp now, I carry a P365XL specter comp, never owned or shot a shield though.
I’m a big fan of the shield. The series doesn’t get as much love as the P365. It’s not nearly as “cool” or modular.
@@averagemarksman I have two Shield Pluses. A 3.1" inch PC and a 4" PC. Those are my carry guns. I think I want this too. I like them better than the p365 series, although I do have the XL.

$550 is a steal. I saw them priced at $775 on there two day ago. You’re going to like it.
@@averagemarksman yeah they’re priced pretty crazy at the moment but a random store put three up there for normal price. They sold out in like 30 minutes.

Awesome to see! I liked my original shield plus a lot! However.. I wanted the 4in because holsters are better (for me) with a longer slide. So I have a p365 legion right now. I kinda wanna pick up the shield plus for when I need a little more capability
Plus you mentioned the fuse fits in the tenicor shield plus holster. My favorite holster

The longer holster does seem to carry a little bit better for me as well. I'll make another video comparing the Fuse to the Shield Carry Comp and have the holster on the table when I do it. I was surprised to see it fit so nicely.

Have you shot the old ported plus? If so how does the recoil reduction compare
I haven’t. I’m not the biggest fan of ported pistols so I never considered purchasing it.
I've been on the fence for a bit now on if i wanted to get a shield plus or a p365/365xl. I'm thinking this model may have been the ticket to push me towards the m&p.
It’s a sweet pistol. I’m excited to see how it does at the 100 round mark.

@@averagemarksman Yeah, im gonna hold off a few months just incase people find issues, but in general i find people share that the shield plus models are pretty hassle free so im hopeful.

There’s not much of a difference in the two. The recoil strong is the only thing I noticed at a quick glance.

It’s tough to change once you’re already committed to something. Holsters, magazines, and so on. It’s expensive.
Some people are saying the trigger on the shield is not the same as the full sized metal comp carry.
Not at all. It’s a typically small frame carry gun trigger. Far heavier than the full size carry comp. I’ll make a video with the trigger scale.
I own the stock shield plus (not Performance Center like this one is) and it has one of the best stock triggers I’ve ever felt. Granted, I’ve shot more Glocks than anything, but I’ve done my fair share of dry firing at gun stores. I liked it better than the full size metal. It’s a very short take up, abrupt wall, and clean break. Probably about 4.5 pounds. Tactile reset is very nice and short. Probably 4-5 mm of travel.
I love the Shield Plus trigger. I’m a big fa of the firm, clearly defined wall.
How does it compare to the ported 3.1 Shield Plus performance center? Thats what i have....worth the trade?
If you have a holster that works with the 3.1” and 4” version Shield Plus then it may be smart. The longer barrel makes a difference even if the port and comp perform the same.
Is the optic cut the original four post RMSc footprint or is it the modified RMSc which allows a Holosun K series optic to be mounted without an adapter plate?
Charles it has the modified RMSc cut. Only two lugs in the front.

@@averagemarksman I have the p365 Tacops 3.7 inch barrel 17 round mags and magwell. Had the Xmacro comp didnt care for it. the tacops is awesome.
I sold an X Macro Comp as well. It was ok. I’d rather have the Tacops as well.

how much recoil reduction you getting on this compared to normal shield plus? 10% or 20% ?
