Monday I went with my cousin to look at pistol's as he's looking at buying his first. Saw a GX4 at Bass pro. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice looking it was in the case. I didn't ask to hold it because it was busy and it was mainly a trip for him, kinda wish I would've though. The GX4 Carry would be a gun I'd 100% consider for the price. The grip looked good and so did the texture. Right now my favorite "carry" size gun i've held is the hellcat pro.

I think I mentioned you should try the GX4 Carry. It will have the same trigger with replaceable back straps. Maybe a little thinner with 15 round mags. You can also use the mags in the GX2.

Great comparison with the Plus! I originally wanted to get the Plus, but wasn’t a fan of the trigger. Glad to see the GX2 is comparable to the Plus. Also sounds like that grip angle 📐 may be playing a part in how soft it shoots.

This dude is pretty cool about reading posts. I'm really good at being the exact "Target Customer" of every marketing department of every firearm company on the planet. I'm not great enough of a shot to embarrass a sponsor at a competition, my wife and I have 7 sons, we need something for them to do all the time, shooting is a good way to get outside and have fun and you know, 2A all the way. Here's my take on the Taurus GX2, enough people on youtube shoot it and have a look on their face like, "Damn, this doesn't totally suck at all." For a mini gun that's pretty high praise. You can't fake that look. P365 was what turned me nonplussed about Sig completely as a company. It was about when that came out that I got back into pistols. Between 1994 my last year of college and 2015 I had Glock 17 and bought the VP9 in 2015. Still like both. Bought a P365XL for my wife in 2021 when I bought my Gen 5 MOS because on youtube the P365 was the greatest invention in human history. It just kind of sucks, or better stated, fell way short of an enjoyable shooting experience. I can't stand mini guns, I had to get one because that's what everyone is doing. I live in Idaho so I could sport a Desert Eagle with very little pushback but a mini gun sits on my right glute pretty comfortably. For myself, I ended up getting the Hellcat RDP a couple weeks later because everyone said it sucked and the P365 was better. Also, I'd never had a compensator on a gun so I wanted to see if it did anything. Either it does or it's a placebo and I think it does. Either way I like it better than the P365.

I own 2 G3c's and the.22 and like all 3. My EDC is a shield+ in 9mm.

Me and the gang were considering Taurus G3s in different colors after getting our LTC, instructor called it one of the cheapest mistakes we would ever make. We decided to listen to guy, but those were the G3s, not the GX series so im interested to see this one make it to 1000

I think the G2C line is where it started. I believe that was their problem child. From what I have been told, from the G3C line and forward they have greatly improved. Never had an issue with their revolvers or 1911’s. Will checking this one out in the near future.

I have seen only one guy talking bad about the gun. The rest have been positive. Still early. But the GX4 and carry have hood reviews too. Some people have bias out the gate and hold on to those. It's like the guys that talk bad about foreign guns but also talk about how good H&K, Walthers and Glocks are 😂. The main this is for the tool to work not matter the price. Taurus has seemed to change things around over the years. When I started out almost 20 years ago i looked for budget friendly guns. Purchased 3 Taurus' (Millenuin PT111 and two slims ) and a Smith SVE and all have worked well. Haven't shot them in years but still have them.

My father in law bought a Taurus a while back, had a rare malfunction in it, Taurus took it back and replaced it because the issue was not reparable. They gave him a brand new GX4 carry. Because of that outstanding customer service my next buy will be Taurus and possibly the gx2

They knocked it out of the park with their TX line of 22's. Probably inspired them to build back better in the 9mm department.

Nice video shoots well. Might be worth buying if depdable. But own a smith and wesson m&p shield plus which i trust.

I’m new the guns just so that you have context. But this is my second pistol, I’ve probably put about 2000 rounds through it so far. I had two failures to eject. But I do believe it was my fault. Otherwise, I’ve had no issues and I love the damn thing.

I love guntuber videos. The reason guntubers don't bring up issues is because no matter what they say about being objective the industry itself does not reward bad reviews. Notice there are almost no reviews on any Sig platform anymore. Sig, for example, has a very thin skin as a company, they demand Borg loyalty. Even tell a Sig guy you know you don't like Sig like I don't and they lose their damn minds. Even if a guntuber wants to be objective we consumers flock to the notion of the perfect do it all pistol, positivity and optimism for the next great thing bring up blindspots in both the guntubers and the consumer. I have lots of pistols and I like them all a lot but none of them are perfect no matter if I spend $600 or $2k. All of them I can hit what I'm aiming at if I practice and concentrate. That said, I'll keep buying pistols because it's fun, the whole process of going to the shop, talking guns with the guys, imagining how great it's going to be is a super fun hobby.

Neat caliber, nice gun. The lack of ammo and price of ammo at $1.50 per round is a red flag for me. Best to stick with 9mm. Less than 25 cents a round, and when the next shortage happens will still be available compared to the fringe calibers.

The trijicon is more expensive than the rxm they should have included a standard blocking plate on the trijicon to start with. Because you definitely need one with the rxm!

The reason they don't have the controls on the right is that they know lefties are intrinsically unsafe.

Tarus make good quality guns. They are not the best at anything and their finish doesn’t hold up as well as some but they are shooters you can depend on. They are also one of the best values in the gun world. The GX2 sells for around $260 in my area and they are a lot of pistol for that low a price. Hard to beat pistol value !
