Nice work! Bracket to steering knuckle torque is 66-85 ft /lbs and the caliper bolts 21-30 f/lbs jic anybody's wondering.

Anyone watching this, please put dust-boots on the guide pins, remove the guide pins and grease with a silicone grease such as sil-glyde, and put grease on the fins of the pads. These brakes are going to need to be replaced soon because there is no grease nor dust-boots on the pins, and they will sieze up, causing the brakes to constantly rub.
The fact that this went overlooked, and there is two people working on it (the actual worker and the video recorder) tells me to avoid this shop.

Don't forget to grease your guide pins

He didn’t even have the dust boots on the carrier pins, so greasing them would attract dust and cause them to seize. He also didn’t lube the clips or put anti seize behind the rotor where it mounts.

@@horsemoney Yeah no idea what these 'mechanics' are doing but this is a terrible job. I would be pissed if they did my brakes like that. A good mechanic will take the time to properly clean and lubricate any moving parts of the brake mechanism.

So if it takes one 8min video to install under normal conditions and approximately 3 mins to remove the tire, how to mechanics justify over 1hr of labor?

At this point idek why mechanics charge by hour. It would make more sense to just charge by labor type, not hourly. Not everyone can do mechanic work, which is why I can understand donuts still expensive to repair something on your vehicle.

They did a terrible job. They never cleaned off the guide-pins, never re-lubed them, and never put dust-boots on the pins. These brakes will be worn quickly because they won't move when they need to.
