Seriously the more Gaijin update the more broken heli PVE mode become. Not only they didn't fix the old problem like the game fogot to spawns new wave of enemy, matching slow heli that only got 3km atgm with fast flying and fast atgm premium heli so the pre heli ate all the AI, but create new problem like some of the AI have godlike aim that headshot your pilot 3 times with the 12.7 at 2km, and damn they nerf the reward for play heli pve.
9:06 This only applies to the 9M120-1 Ataka on the Mi-28NM, because it's a Beam riding missile. Beam riders can be queued up and guided simultaneously as long as they are launched within the timer that shows up after launching the first one. Beam riding missiles are also immune to IRCM jammers like on the PUMA or M1A1 HC. The only downside to Beam riders over SACLOS is that they trigger LWS systems once they are close enough to the target (That's because the laser beam narrows down with time and only becomes clear enough to pick up for the LWS once the missile is close). The other Mi-28 variants use the normal 9M120 Ataka, the only difference being that it is a SACLOS missle, not beam riding. (only 1 guided at a time, gets jammed by IRCM, doesn't trigger LWS)
The MI-28 Havoc looks like if the Mil Mi-24 and a ka-50 black shark had a baby. mostly the tail from the 24 and the cockpit from the black shark. Also good British accent

This is an absolutely useless thing, because while you are locate targets, either a Pancir or a flarakad will knock you down. If I may, I'd like to share how I use it. I only fly the first respawn on a British Apache. After adding hmd and before they broke it, the aim point is displayed on the screen. It's very cool, because now you can see where you're aiming. In the settings, you need to turn off the radar angle and cursors, leaving everything by default, then choose one key (I have R) to set the "next target" and "target lock". When you take off, you set a narrow sector radar view and fly into hell. As soon as you fly up, you start pressing R and all the targets in the narrow sector radar zone switch in turn, you can shoot with a cannon, you can use CCIP rockets. This feature replicates work of gunner, you can attack two targets simultaneously, or one but more precisely. The radar must be used for close combat, as switching to optics takes precious time. Now the important thing, I set the SRC mode and if a helicopter suddenly appears (as in the Carpathians, head-on) then the radar in this mode immediately locks it. I don't use optics at all in close combat. SRC works on planes too, if someone trying to attack, after locking you can use cannon for defend yourself.
@@oxidealluminium7526 hi mate ! oh yes ofcourse this does work pretty well, but the thing is that generally when i work with radars both in air sim or Ground RB, i usually use the arrow keys to have full control over my radar, meaning that i can scan at any time any place and have an eye on the air targets aswell, using the MTI this is why im keeping the Brackets on all the time. it might consume some time but eventually it will give every info i need
The game doesn't directly tell you this unless you dig through the files, but the L-150 RWR/MAW includes an automatic directed-IRCM system, same as on the Ka-52. This means the helicopter is capable of automatically dazzling and defeating incoming heatseeting missiles, even those with IRCCM, from most angles except for directly above and below.
This is insanely well done, you should be extremley proud of the quality. Please do more!! I suggest to go for more popular vehicles such as the F-4S to get more exposure!

hi, I appreciate the effort, good video; one front for improvement would be imo to elaborate a little on the use-case of the individual rockets. for example, S-8KO missiles are probably the best for defending against AA missiles, while the rest are of course for destroying only certain types of tanks. other than that, good job

The ka 52 has 4 usual pylons plus 2 pylons that can be fitted with Iglas, the mi 28 NM cannot do that, it has to exchange the ATGM pylons for that matter. The ka 52 has better mobility but it has worse thermals. I will eventually make a vid on it
Thank you for a further explantion! Yeah I am on the fence because it takes me exactly the same amount of RP to unlock both... I dont have a lot of experiance with top tier helis mostly Russian 9.7 and American 10.3 Littlebird. I dread the missle AA and does any of those two helis have an advantage over the other in surving missle AA when sniping with ATGMS? Sorry if this might be bothersome xD

What’s your opinion on adding helis to air simulator battles Bob? I think it would be very fun if Gaijin were to add them to it. The only issue with it I see would be balancing the Chinese helis and their TY-90 AA missiles.
oh well it is a really great idea on paper... but in practice its just... its absolute painful, there are so many ways to abuse sim both for heli and pilots themselves. china will instantly become a meta nation, yes u cant spot helis properly, but you can abuse the heli Spawn alot. like for example if we dont put helipad AAs, helis will be shafted, if we put AAs, fixed wing pilots will be shafted, imagine dogfighting someone, then the guy runs towards his friendly helipad, just so the AA Would shoot you down. how about helis that go towards your spawn, hide low enough in the trees so no roland or gepard or VAEK40s would shoot em? , fire an A2A missile at ya while ur taking off? thats also a way to abuse it. there are so many more problems that are just out there. like BR balancing in sim, Helipad placements, proxy fuzes or should we include ATA missiles for helis, or should we not? each have its own consequences... this idea might have worked if Gaijin actually balanced stuff properly, it seems cool on paper, but in practice its... not gonna be great. dont get me wrong, i love to play in sim controls and in cockpit all the time. its one of the reasons why i came to WT... but it will ruin sim alot... and helis will have a bad reputation, like Arty in WOT PC. i dont want that. i will make a video on it once i made a rant video on the Heli PVE.
@@whynot1289j currently? If u want to go heli pve u can go to assault ground RB. Get some boosters, then either rock heli pve or ground RB. Ground rb is better and less painful. Heli pve is boring nowadays
nope, we have diffrent targets on the battlefields, aircraft, IFVs, Tanks, SPAAs etc. some ATGMs can shoot diffrent things. like APKWS is really nice for some SPAAs and IFVs and AMVs. Vikhr missiles are good for shooting down helis and planes coming towards you. u see? its more than just tanks and ATGMs.
in more professional places or military, mostly ppl say armored vehicle, they can identify what they are shooting at aswell . so yes u can say "I've shot down a tank using a helicopter". i myself used to call the BMP2 a tank, when i was playing WOTBlitz. alot of ppl corrected me and told me it was an IFV.

Ok so mi 28 mti is a type of radar that sets the ground as the refrence, and then counts anything that moves as a radar target. Yes including aircraft, missiles, and tanks. Anything that does not move is not shown on the radar
Im a top br russian main , theres honestly no reason to get this heli over the KA-52, Mi-28s are only good for S-130F heli rushing since it has the fully rotatable 30mm to back it up and its a bit more easy to control. KA-52 6 hardpoints is just too good and khrizanetema missiles aint worth the 4km less range and proxy fuse of the Viktrs. The khrizanetma do one shot more consistently tho , i guess thats because it has like 2kg more explosive mass behind it than the vikhrs. I hope the MI-28NM gets the LMURs missile before the KA-52 gets it, would honestly make it worth running
hi mate, as a person who spend decent amount of time with the russian helis,(specially with the ka-52) the ka 52 also has the S-13 OF, its just that the CCIP on the KA-52 is slightly more inaccurate than mi-28, atleast to my experience. the mi 28 does carry out the igla missile, that is indeed a disadvantage, but i dont think iglas are that important unless u want to shoot down a heli, which in that case vikhr missiles would do the job anyways. with regards to khrizantema, i believe that it is worth to pick them over the vikhr missile, it has more explosive mass, more penetration and overal feels nice to control aswe... like i used it and i can feel like the Khrizantemas are melting their way through the enemy, while vikhr missiles u have to aim them more, and... yea i think the khrizantemas are better because of that. not saying that vikhr is bad but yea. the MI-28 NM does not need the LMUR missiles to be special. and KA 52M carries out the LMUR, not the KA52(as far as i know.) for me the radar single handedly makes it worth it. thats how incredible the radar is. i was with my friend in a squad, i was literally AWACS for em. it instantly spots, locks incredibly well, has wide range, and feels really good with the scan. to me MI28 really impressed me, sure it has its own pros and cons. but to me i prefer the MI-28 over the KA-52
Gutta say people who say russian helicopters are the op are just bad at the game other helicopters just spam fire amd forget missles and duck before a missile hits them with russian ones you actually have to show yourself too the enemy
All gamemodes are flawed, helicopter PVE is just the worst of all. I know all matchmaking games delude down to massive 1v1 servers. But the gaijin ones are horrible. It’s basically TDM or 2fort.

Ok so mi 28 mti is a type of radar that sets the ground as the refrence, and then counts anything that moves as a radar target. Yes including aircraft, missiles, and tanks. Anything that does not move is not shown on the radar

Im a top br russian main , theres honestly no reason to get this heli over the KA-52, Mi-28s are only good for S-130F heli rushing since it has the fully rotatable 30mm to back it up and its a bit more easy to control. KA-52 6 hardpoints is just too good and khrizanetema missiles aint worth the 4km less range and proxy fuse of the Viktrs. The khrizanetma do one shot more consistently tho , i guess thats because it has like 2kg more explosive mass behind it than the vikhrs. I hope the MI-28NM gets the LMURs missile before the KA-52 gets it, would honestly make it worth running
hi mate, as a person who spend decent amount of time with the russian helis,(specially with the ka-52) the ka 52 also has the S-13 OF, its just that the CCIP on the KA-52 is slightly more inaccurate than mi-28, atleast to my experience. the mi 28 does carry out the igla missile, that is indeed a disadvantage, but i dont think iglas are that important unless u want to shoot down a heli, which in that case vikhr missiles would do the job anyways.
with regards to khrizantema, i believe that it is worth to pick them over the vikhr missile, it has more explosive mass, more penetration and overal feels nice to control aswe... like i used it and i can feel like the Khrizantemas are melting their way through the enemy, while vikhr missiles u have to aim them more, and... yea i think the khrizantemas are better because of that. not saying that vikhr is bad but yea. the MI-28 NM does not need the LMUR missiles to be special. and KA 52M carries out the LMUR, not the KA52(as far as i know.) for me the radar single handedly makes it worth it. thats how incredible the radar is. i was with my friend in a squad, i was literally AWACS for em. it instantly spots, locks incredibly well, has wide range, and feels really good with the scan. to me MI28 really impressed me, sure it has its own pros and cons. but to me i prefer the MI-28 over the KA-52
Gutta say people who say russian helicopters are the op are just bad at the game other helicopters just spam fire amd forget missles and duck before a missile hits them with russian ones you actually have to show yourself too the enemy

All gamemodes are flawed, helicopter PVE is just the worst of all.
I know all matchmaking games delude down to massive 1v1 servers. But the gaijin ones are horrible. It’s basically TDM or 2fort.
