- We've got a big year ahead of us as Sonic fans after an amazing 2022...so what could we see? We know we're getting Sonic Frontiers DLC, and we've got Knuckles and Sonic Prime too, but I think theres a game announcement or two in the works...
This is a month by month prediction of what is going to happen for Sonic in 2023! Including some cheeky predictions of how the fanbase reacts, and how certain influencers react.
This includes story spoilers for Sonic Frontiers.

My version:
Sonic Unleashed being ported could be wishful thinking(Though I am also hoping for it).I do think SEGA will port Generations first before Unleashed... bc reception.
Been waiting for the day they port/remaster of Unleashed and I think it is very possible. As this year is the 15th anniversary.. I know crazy! Sonic team talked about continuing the remasters, they are becoming less scared of the story and events of the game with inclusions of mentions in Frontiers. And there is so much more gained community love and commentary as of recently and we know Sonic Team is listening.

If SEGA and Sonic Team are planning Unleashed Ultimate, they should:
Heads up: a new 2D Sonic game has been confirmed, though I don't think Mania Team or Headcannon will be working on it. I'm not sure.
No possibility of a proper official Chao Garden after 20 years? Sega really do try to dodge a bullet with Chao Gardens involved, on how I feel about it anyways

My prediction
I find it interesting how Sonic Prime is more Advanced than Frontiers.SEGA Claims the New Sonic game is next-gen but he still using grinding rails, Bouncers, speed pads, glowing wall jumps in 2023 but in the show he doesn't need props.
Man, you HAVE to read the IDW comics, the first dozen of issues are incredible fun closing some plot points from Forces and after those begins the Metal Virus saga which is easily one of the most epic, emotional and overall intriguing stories ever told in the entire franchise, it is INSANELY GOOD. After the Metal Virus saga they introduce Surge which pretty much a much more engaging version of Scourge and probably one of the best villains in the entire franchise, the first Surge VS Sonic fight has the best dialogue exchanges you'll ever see in something Sonic related. All the spin-off IDW comics and one-shots are also incredible, everything IDW Sonic is honestly a must, especially since Sonic Team is pretty much considering them canon at this point (as we had things like the EggNet and Tangle the Lemur both from the IDW comics integrated in Frontiers). Give them a chance, buy the collections (they go on sale all the time digitally if you can't bother with/afford the physical releases) you WILL NOT REGRET IT trust me!!!😄

I'm hoping SEGA doesn't bring in Blind Squirrel or Square Enix for Unleashed Ultimate. Bring in Insomniac. Those dude's are legit.
I want to predict a sega store in America where I live to have sonic and sega classics merch and history and music that will be dope
If they do decide to bring sonic unleashed to the switch I hope they don’t use the wii version for it mainly cause in that game you can’t boost a lot like the Xbox version
