This reminds me of the Grumpy Old Men movies. Walter Matthau's character was a retired TV repair man. He had a set similar to this in his "ice shanty" and later it appear in his kitchen. Oddly enough it was COLOR! Certainly done by means of movie magic. He also had a 21" RCA color set in the dining room. When he visits Ariel, he chides her for converting her "Super Zenith" into an aquarium.
Funny just watched that again the other day "I have a special purpose!".😆Amazing they could make any TV portable in that era but I guess it's more luggable than portable heh. Sweet red though, always wanted a TV in that color.

Hello! Love your fantastic video and TVs! I need your help! I'm trying to restore my 1956 portable table top RCA Victor. I've tried everything and can't figure out how to get the works out of the metal cabinet. Ive taken out any screws I see. I gently tried to pry off the front and it only goes about 1/8 inch and seems to be held up somewhere inside the cabinet. ANY advice from you would be my salvation. THANK YOU! Doug Wemple

Damn out of luck then, I'm in Canada so I'd have to ship it. I've been looking for one for a while but none near me and don't want to send someone lots of money and risk it not coming.
