For real hey… I think we can be a little too ignorant sometimes even with basic small knowledge, for example I’ve known since last week already that the weather was going to be bad this weekend across the country, therefore be indoors, how do I know this ? By simply utilising the weather app on my phone and a daily …honestly it’s that simple, even radios and news report on this but I don’t know I just find it weird that people walk out of their houses without checking the weather forecasts.
Guys, SA is not Canada, ... people were just warned to exercise caution when driving, ...the transport department was supposed to exercise governance by being decisive...as they had more data about this situation...
And of course we are a nation that will blame and put absolutely everything to the same useless government we complain about, someone left their house in shorts and t-shirt and nothing warm to drive on the N3 so that they can be stuck and point fingers and to the transport department? And I mean you said it yourself “ this isn’t Canada “ very correct, South Africa does not have the correct snow clearing equipment in the transport department as they use in countries that have regular snowfall hence the use of a grader in other videos to help clear it, so I’m guessing that solution falls out we are left with the solution of someone’s parents/sister/brother/grandparent must go park a car from the transport department and flag people , also be stuck with them the entire night, get paid overtime, but how did that assist anyone else from not being stuck again?? No body can tell people not to drive anywhere just because it’s snowing the weather service can only tell us to be very careful ,that is why the SAWS also shows different times and intensities so that we ourselves can determine if we want to travel, one can at least pick a travel time where they might make it through on time. But we honestly can’t always point fingers at the government when especially we were warned before hand.
In such cases of bad weather forecasted, authorities should close long distance roads. Because you know we always have those people...Also some business owners will let drivers go on treacherous journeys because you know money is more important 😢
A habit of checking the wheather focus before travelling must be adopted. My late mother taught me that, it is my lifestyle. I also check with the ppl living in the area Ill be travelling to.
It is so sad 😢 although people were warned not to travel to either Kzn or Eastern Cape. When the weather is bad flights are cancelled so why are road users not adhering to Caution ⚠️ 😭😭 aaai

Those who have cars need to make it a habit to carry survival back packs. With blankets, water, non perishable food, powerbank and flash light.
Most cars would then be full😂😂. Small cars do not have a lot of space 😅
