I counted millions daily, sometimes I didn’t have a R10 to go back home,but I made sure that I don’t even see their money as money, but as a paper I worked with. Actually that was our motivation with my friends who still works there. That environment needs you to understand your WHY. Always think of the reason you are there, otherwise you will be tempted. The worse one is the syndicates who understand the system more than you. You’ll be approached every day, but you must be firm. I advised everyone who came after me of all the consequences but most they didn’t listen.
The one thing I truly salute her for is the ability to own up and take full accountability! No excuses! I am not supporting theft, but I truly appreciate people who take accountability! That's a person deserving a second chance!
Banks should assist people like this lady, she knows what she has done is crime and has suffered the consequences. They must help her be a motivational speaker and be someone that can work to warn others not to do it. She has learned her lesson

I'd be livid that a bank couldn't account for the details of an investment and in/out movement- that's fraud and can be reported to the authorities. Every bank account should have a traceable record of transactions - even if it is closed.

The packet at a grocery store today asked the cashier what bank my card was from.she told him.he said that I put in an extra no on the pin.cover the pad and dont use one finger its less east for them to see.also today.husband used an atm.the slot was open and s lot of money not taken. He called a guy back who had left there.hevtook the money and said nothing.wierd.
I lost over 115 thousand rand, banking with absa... I started saving for my daughter when she was in grade 2...but when there funds were needed for varsity.. I was told they still investigating that account... Till today I never heard from tht bank filled with thugs like her.

As someone in banking , i can confirm that being in finance requires a lot of discipline, self respect and respect for your Job. Temptations are everywhere and you will meet people that will give you the worst of ideas and if you respect your Job and have self discipline it becomes easier to silence the noise and stay away from trouble. I've worked in finance practically my whole career. At one point I worked with large sums of cash (back in the 90's in furniture retail). It can be a temptation but you have to be self vigilant, and nobody should ever be left to their own devices. Every job where money is being managed should have checks and balances in place to deter fraud and theft from taking place. Be aware that it takes a small slip in judgement to destroy your life, not just with money but everything you do.

You need to reach out to the banks ombudsman. Money at the bank is insured. Even if someone stole it, they can recorver it from the insurance
