Taxi owners are a big problem. Their drivers are rude. Their commuters become prisoners in their taxis. They even go out to victimize the other road users for having passengers in their private vehicles, even if it's their family or relatives, or church members. The taxi are just criminals. No one has a right to attack family members in their private transport. Johan should go ahead with his fight. The government knows about everything that taxi people are doing, but she's doing nothing. We are totally unsafe in this country. Too bad

I shuttle between Johannesburg & home in Groot Brakrivier every 6 weeks, sometimes twice a month. Rarely bother to fly any more due to prices. I always feel safe and experience good service provided by Intercape and the drivers who by now recognize me and my destination. Issues with the busses, although our route tends to get the high mileage hand me downs from the blue chip routes, is almost unheard of. Thank you for standing your ground on behalf of your passengers.

Who, what, when, how and why? You can't just claim the ANC is responsible. The ANC is an organization with over 3 million members, it can't be all of them.
Remember how the minibus taxi industry began, and who was responsible for it coming into existence. Why they had to operate at the edge of the law. You can't just blame everything on the ANC.
The national taxi association has makes billions, it can't easily be stopped now or be ignored.
And for your information, it's the taxi drivers, not the owners who are responsible for the violence. Owners try their level best to keep their noses clean.

It was not because of apartheid that you were able succeed.I believe the goal was purely to provide a service and to make travelling easier for many people. Yes there was also your share of competition in the business, like with the SAR bus system etc. In the end we are all here to make a living and contribute to our country's economy. What's wrong with these poeples' thinking? Instead of expanding bussinesses, they seek to minimize it in their favour and to their advantage. They tried this in Tshwane with the introduction of the ria bus services, attacking bus's, the MEC went on the offensive and impounded taxi's of the taxi association that were responsible of the attack's, legally cause the all had outstanding unpaid fines . It worked to this day there has been zero incidents.

Our trains set alight in the very heart of the Mother city with full surveillance & security guards present, cable theft from the stations concrete roofs yet to my knowledge no arrests have been made. All arrows seem to point in the direction of the Eastern cape taxi mafia, operating with a little help from their friends in high places who have little qualms about dealing with the removal of the last vestiges of colonialism especially if their is money to be made from it.
