    I’d like to see someone with a seven iron swing speed of 70 to 75 mph hit the HL’s as this is what Mizuno designed them for after collecting hundreds of thousands of swing speeds. I recently had a Mizuno specialist fitting and while I really wanted to walk out with the Pro’s, I settled on the HL’s. Absolutely so easy to hit and chalk and cheese compared to the HM’s and Pro’s all due to my 76 mph swing speed. Thoroughly recommend these. 👍🏻🇦🇺

      I'm about 76-77 swing speed I think I could push more might of been nerves, the fitter just gave me the pros and said they will help more when you get better so should last you longer, I originally went in to try the g430s came away with pros, felt so nice and was was hitting them further

    I just ordered a set of Mizuno JPX 923 Hot Metals 5-GW with stiff Nippon Modus 105 shafts and Golf Pride CP2 grips. I tested pretty much every new iron for 2022 and 2023 and these far and away were the best for me. I am about a 18 handicap and my iron striking has always been my downfall. I cant wait to get these into the bag, I think Minuno has a winner here for 2023!

    The Mizuno JPX923 are... I don't even know. I just bought a pair of 923 Forged with Dynamic Gold 105 (I think it was) shaft. I've been searching for clubs for a year and as a mid handicapper I was never able to find anything that work for me straight away. I always needed 2 degree flat lie not to hook every club I tried but then I tried these recently, completely stock in the store with a Dynamic Gold 95 shaft and it was almost perfect and it went dead straight and felt amazing. The JPX923 weren't even on my radar but the lady after seeing my swing told me to try these and I am so thankful she did. I couldn't be more happy with my purchase.

    Just hit the HM, HM Pro, and HMHL on the Trackman vs my Srixon ZX5’s. No difference in distance, but my Srixon’s felt so much softer! Not that they felt bad, they were very nice.

  • @Mike_Torres_Golf
    @Mike_Torres_Golf ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I tested them as well. I don't need the HL ... you do lose a little distance but the get up quickly. Standards and pros tested amazingly. What club did you like the most?

  • @jhamPlays
    @jhamPlays 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    If you are looking at these don't discount the HL because you think they are for slow swing speeds or old men. I swing about 80mph but have a good bit of shaft lean when I'm striking the ball well. Was getting a much more desirable ball flight with the 2degrees of loft on each club. Really only adds a degree or 2 to launch angle and a touhc more spin.

  • @douglasmayer5079

    Went through a fitting back in March 2023. I fully expected to end up with Titleist T200 irons, but the ball flight of the Mizuno 923 was more to my liking. Also, I had a tighter grouping with the Mizunos.
    Got the clubs in April, and the results have been unbelievable. My handicap dropped 3 strokes to under a 7 (not bad for a 62 year old) and even my misses are manageable. I honestly can't remember the last time I hit an iron with my Mizunos that was just plain terrible.
    Even though they are a 'game improvement' iron, they really do have the look of a blade and come the closest I've found to the feel of my old forged clubs. I am enjoying playing again after a few years of frustration with a set of TMs.

    I don't like these kind of irons for chipping James. They're a bit jumpy off the face. I am gaming a set of Titleist T100s irons that give me the power in the 4,5,6&7 but the nice solid feel in the 8,9&PW for delicate chips. But if I was looking to combo a set I think I'd like to save a few quid and Tokomo it 😁

    James Ive got to asked this question and something I was hoping you would have answered for a mid to high handicapper I tried all three using a dynamic 105 shaft then switching to a 85 gram shaft for the hot metal pro which as my handicap suggest took me quite a few hits to get used to owing to the blade like head in length but the lighter shaft did help especially launching the ball moving on to the hot metal I hit these well and was around 5 yards longer in length than the hl model looking at your last three shots it seemed you did better with the hl model once you adjusted your aim now for my question im not quite ready for the pros although I did start to get the hang of them using the 7 iron how I would do hitting he 5 I don't know so for me its the other two versions to choose from James is it worth the trade to go for stopping distance of the hl which according to testers seems to be incredible and give up a little distance than the hot metal with that 2 and a half stronger loft in the summer when the grounds really hard I often run through the greens as do many of my friends, is this a valid point to consider. loved the review

      @JLeeGolf ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@stephencarlisle3743 no, they don’t release in the states until Feb 2023… I am stationed in Japan and they’ve already released here. I will say, if you don’t absolutely need new irons, wait. The forged blows the hot metals(HM) out the water. They are smaller than the HM so to me, more pleasing to the eyes, but have the same performance and forgiveness. I do believe the lofts are stronger than typical so you’ll see the usual extra yardages. But I didn’t ever really get the sporadic 15yard gains on those reaaaally good shots, know what I mean? As for the tours, traditional lofts and a compact head. I’ve played mizuno blades for the last 3 years and decided to drop to a forged and these feel and look like blades at address, but have much more forgiveness, not nearly as much as the forged, but if you’re a lower handicap that is consistently striking the ball but not confident enough to play blades, these are the way to go.

      @DE-ol9qp ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting you mention the sporadic 15 yard gains on great shots. Find that in my 921 HM. Maybe the forged will solve that. I mean I can fat and thin it easy but a great strike and 20 yards over the green is frustrating!

      It's like there is a stigma around the club offering help to get the ball in the air. Losing max 5 yards and from the shots we saw hit on the course here, the HL was the one most likely to stop on the green. The HL go way beyond just helping people with slower swing speeds. They go as high as you actually want the ball to go with ffar less effort than the cranked up irons.
