I've got it! If they had just had a big cigar-smoking Sigmund Freud holding a slice saying, "sometimes a cheese slice is just a cheese slice," it would have been much better. That or have Freud make a sandwich with his cigar on it and show him gingerly putting on a slice that Cheese Man hands him (as CM turns and smiles directly at camera). 😉 There's many ways to do it.

I remember liking this episode. I wasn't very familiar with "Twin Peaks" at the time, but the connections you draw are well made.

I don’t know if I should watch this or not given it’s my most favourite Buffy episode. But I’m so intrigued how you guys perceive this episode.

This was a great episode. I always like these surreal eps. Maybe not as memorable as the Troi cake bit in TNG, but close. Next season is the dawn of new age for Buffy, I always liked seasons 5 and 6 more than the previous ones. Even though the original high school setting was nice at the time too. Season 4 overall was much worse than the seasons surrounding it...
