      problem is that as food supply increases, their numbers will increase, and then they'll seek out the villages again. What's really needed is to ensure the bears don't see humans and human settlements as good food sources.

    We have an understanding here in Canada: If you plant a fruit tree in your home you're inviting a bear to your home. Once the guest arrives he stays and gets to eat the whole tree, maybe even break it, but that's the small price we pay for coexisting with wildlife. The answer is community education not shooting/relocating bears, it's upsetting to see people still have not broken from their primitive instinct of decimating the species they see as a problem.

      Romania has the largest population of brown bears in all of Europe, for the most part bears and humans co exist peacefully, shepards in Romania do not try to kill the bears, yes they occasionally loose a few sheep, but that's life. The biggest problem is restaurants in tourist area near the forest don't lock their waste bins securely enough this encourages the bears to go scavenging.

      @@Terophy These are very mountanious lands with deep valleys. In the Antiquity used to be full of bears. Today they are less. For instance the countries of Europe where remain the largest ammount of wild bears are Russia and Romania. Hope they will not be massacred.

      That is not normal natural behaviour of anything living, do you realize that?

    • @Calligraphybooster
      @Calligraphybooster 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Snake24 ‘Good’ is a cultural qualification. It does not apply to nature.

    • @Calligraphybooster
      @Calligraphybooster 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Snake24Humans entertain culture, they are however always subjected to nature. And we are just naked apes. Btw, ‘normal’ to me means ‘what can be expected’, not ‘good’.
