Good job in keeping it airworthy. I saw one for sale on Facebook marketplace 2 years ago in Melbourne, $85K, was sold by that afternoon. Wasn't in flight ready condition though, had been idle and probably needed work on certification etc.
I remember decades ago the Chinese were selling MiG-15s for the cost of a nice used Porsche. One of the early customers had his delivered and the guns were unloaded but still operational. Smithsonian Air ran a story by an owner of a MiG-21. He said the fuel consumption and costs alone were exorbitant but it didn’t that much maintenance. His quote was “By the time you get it off the ground you are already out of gas. By the time you are ready to land your are REALLY out of gas!”.

I was a kid in England when a pair of them visited during the late Cold War. They caused quite a stir. A bit of fear too. The Fulcrum and the Flanker were both superb airframes with a lot of room for improvement. With modern electronics, weapons, and proper tactical support the Fulcrum could still be very competitive for point defence etc (MiG-29s have been used like half blind sitting ducks without AWACS support etc -- so do not have a good combat record). I think the newest version has much better range. I saw some videos where US pilots spoke about mock jousting with the latest Su-35s over Syria. Put it this way, they were not dissing it. P.S. As a kid I used to think about how long to would take to save for a hot rod car. What I never factored was the cost of keeping one running. Would be even worse for a jet fighter. Nice video, I have read an article in a magazine about this company, one of the best paint schemes I've ever seen on this aircraft, must be hard to keep MiG in operation these days, keep it up! Greetings from Slovakia, we had MiGs in our skies until recently :P
We stole this from the russians😂😂😂😂😂 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
@@kennypowerz1267At the same time, I think you have an old version. At the moment, the moment is undergoing a deep modernization. 😂
A beautiful aircraft, no doubt
I thought I recognized it! When they park it close to the road you can see it and usually there's one or two other jets which I assume are being used for training. When they fly them, they go right over my house in Belgrade. That MIG-29 is so lud! But I always run out to look at it with my binos. It's truly amazing to see it and hear it fly so close!
Love the front seats helmet with the Star Wars Empire logo.
It’s so beautiful that it hurts, best design ever made
Did the pilot have star wars sticker (symbol of galactic empire) on his helmet, in the beginning?
My favorite color scheme on jets;
Gray Black or White Grey Black camo,
not so much the dots/specs, but the
larger pattern, color combo. Mig 29 is
probably the best looking military jet
ever..
The MIG-29 is truly an insanely beautiful aircraft, the paint job is just as if it was made for it. The fighter of my childhood dreams...😘😍💯
Good job in keeping it airworthy.
I saw one for sale on Facebook marketplace 2 years ago in Melbourne, $85K, was sold by that afternoon. Wasn't in flight ready condition though, had been idle and probably needed work on certification etc.
за такие деньги ты колесо от него не купишь
@@АлексейМартынов-т9тthat's actually how much they go for over there lol
Excellent video. Many Thanks.
New stink acquired
Every video of yours is always a high quality banger 😊
Thanks man! Hoping to keep up the quality!
I totally agree! Perfect framing, amazing image quality 👏👏
Wonder what they do for a supply system and parts availability?
Sick piant job. The Imperial Navy emblem on the helmet is a cool touch.
Love the paint job 👍🏻
Thats of the sickest dopest baddest wraps I’ve ever seen on a fighter!!!!
Imperial Tie Pilot Helmet is AWESOME!! 😍
That one fantastic looking bird! No idea what it costs to fly, but I’m assuming it’s a ton.
$8000 per hour i think.
It is a turbojet engine...what do you expect to consume 6 litters per 100km....civil airplanes half of the weight is fuel
Yep, if we have to ask, we can’t afford it!😩🇦🇺

My question is simple. How and where can you buy one and how can you get them to let you fly it in your country?
MiG-29UB Model twin seater, this is the best looking MiG-29 love the Splinter Grey/Black camo was Ex-Ukraine AF 64 bl Excellent restoration been carried out whilst in Private Ownership & a Massive Credit to the restorers.
Couldn't agree more!
One of Tom Clancy's quotes from Red Storm Rising is "say what you want about the Russians, they do build 'em pretty". I think about that whenever I see one of these or the Tu-22M Backfire. Those are some ultra sexy birds.
Oh..
The BackFire.
Wonderfull Plane, Is like a hybrid of a Mig-25 and Tu-160.
What a beautiful bird 🙌🏻❤️
Awesome ride! Imagine being rich enough to own one of those... 🤔
You can buy one for a couple of million. Everything is for sale cheap in Russia.
Love it!!
What a beauty🤗 My favorite one
Those Klimov RD-33's are real smokers!
yeah, i was almost thinking it had diesel engines
@@discovolante6624 can't they actually run on diesel in a pinch?
@@slooob23 dude, i have absolutely no idea if a jet engine can run on diesel, ive never really been in the situation where i need to try it
@@discovolante6624 apparently they designed the mig 29 engine to run on a variety of fuels to enable continued operation in a war time environment.
Gorgeous paint job.
Wouldn't mind seeing this Beast fly Mach Loop or Star Wars Canyon!
Chatted with the owner about that. It will likely happen soon!
Que dicha tener uno de esos … Bendiciones gracias por el video 🙏💯👌
That plane looks sick
love the Tie-Fighter Helmet that Passanger is wearing! :)))
Oh nice, America has at least one good fighter jet
The Mig-29 & the F-14 are the most beautiful aircraft ever
This was Paul Allen's jet. I spent a lot of time up close to it when it was here in Everett, WA
And Monika , was she also ?😁
That thing takes up the WHOLE runway to land, even with a chute. Freakin rocket with wings and ailerons.
Paul Allen had the best toys, good to see the fantastic plane has found a new home and gets exercised regularly.
The owner of this must be rolling in dosh, or had a very generous pension plan.🤣
This MiG is so Perfect 👌 Beautiful aircraft ✨👍
