When couples approach the court for divorce in Nigeria the law mandates the judge to try and settle and reconcile the couple first, if that fails then decree nisi where they will live together for six months and if that fails again then decree absolute. It is the Judge's prerogative to calculate punitive penalties if they think the person is not remorseful or is being dubious. She had used the generator for several months before it was given to the guy. Even if it was for one day, it is still considered used. No judge in the world will award a new generator for a used one.

It is the Judge's prerogative to calculate punitive penalties if they think the person is not remorseful or is being dubious. She had used the generator for several months before it was given to the guy. Even if it was for one day, it is still considered used. No judge in the world will award a new generator for a used one.
