"I'm actually a boy." "Ok love." 😂
Ded
That kill me !
LOL 😂 brilliant
Poor James lol
Lol
The fact that Sister Michael's full name is George Michael makes me love her even more.....
It was probably a misnomer given by Orla or misheard.
OH FECK!
@@whocares_bear yes Orla and her mom need to get checked 😂😂
@@whocares_bearIt's clearly not, the subordinate police officer is referring to some official document, probably an official government record of the school including people in charge, for her name.
George Michael is the perfect name for her.
coz "you gotta have faith"
full respect to Uncle Colm, he was straight down for his nieces, and surrogate ones (James included) to help save the day. even took himself from reading, that's something.
'Half way through a Maeve Binchy so I was'
It was like something out of Apocalypse Now, Uncle Colm arriving in the room to rescue the girls.
“Any time weans! Anytime!”
I've seen all of Liam's movies, by seeing only one of them. He helps a child and kills a lot of naughty people. THE END.
Neeson is just perfect here. Truly he is
“i’m actually a boy”
“okay love”
i died ahaha
“Da’s are just in the pockets of Ma’s” 🤣 It’s so true!
"Das are just ma enablers." I laughed so hard!
Da's are jus Ma enablers
It's almost as if they made some sort of pact
Let’s not forget Neeson grew up during the troubles. Casting genius to have him here.
He’s from Ballymena ;)
....where his film career awards are riotously celebrated, with the Freedom of Ballymena ( not )
Neeson himself loved the show and wanted to be a part of it
I never ever expected Liam Neeson to be in comedy like Derry girls
Liam knows a class show when he see's it!!! 👍👍
Life is short as well
He sorta was in the Coldplay Red Nose Day thing.
He was great in The Lego Movie as both Bad Cop and Good Cop...
Ted 2 as weird guy with the cereal
When Erin said “I know who we should call” I instantly knew they were going to get Uncle Colm in 😂😂😂
I was thinking Father Peter, so when I saw Colm I almost fell of my chair. First Liam Neeson then Colm boring Liam Neeson. Best episode ever! (Unless Liam Neeson gets caught in a clinch with Sister Michael!)
I thought of Joe, erins grandpa
Liam didn't have the particular set of skills to deal with that...
words right out of my mouth !!!!! 🤣
I was thinking Grandpa Joe, but this was so much better!
Neeson is perfect for this role. He has that weary-with-the-world thing down so well
Very true the only other actor i could picture in this role is adrian dunbar from line of duty lol
@@joepagram8287 I reckon Neeson enjoyed every frustrating minute of this! lol!
@@class87srule yes, i'd like to see the outtakes of the filming of this scene
The look of "I should retire... NOW"!
@@joepagram8287 This! LOL. Would have made perfect sense, since it was stated in "Line of Duty" that Dunbar's Ted Hastings was in the RUC.
The way I screamed when Liam appeared, this was the most BRILLIANT cameo they’ve done on this show! 😂😂👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 and getting uncle Colm to wear him down, GENIUS 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
When I was watching this episode, I was VERY surprised when Liam Neeson appeared.
i literally screamed!!
What a season this has been. Liam Neeson and then another (arguably) more famous cameo in the last episode. This show is legendary stuff!
When I saw Liam Neeson, I said "Ooh!" Then when Erin said "I know who we should call" I yelled "Colm!!" And when Colm starts talking, I screamed! And I laughed throughout the rest of the scene.
The way Erin says "We would like to speak to a solicitor please" is so funny to me. Her facial expressions are always so good
My memory (having personally experienced such events in the 90's) is that we (the adult nationalist population) genuinely were disallowed representation questioning in the period. Derry Girls takes the edge off the bitterness. Thank God we can laugh hard in 2022 - with Derry Girls leading the healing. Perfect.
Thanks for your love and support ♥️❤️♥️
@@younghanrahan At that time of night, every solicitor in Londonderry would have been asleep. Not sure whether there'd be a difference procedurally between having a solicitor with no parent/guardian/Colm, having a solicitor with a parent/guardian/Colm.
Did the Northern Irish not have a right to a lawyer at that point in history? Erin is making a good point
You gotta respect Michelle shooting her shot with Liam Neeson
Can you blame her??
I'd do it.
@@nocturnalcove9736 no one can
IKR!!??
She totally knows Liam Neeson has a fucking hammer in his pants.
Love how Orla is the last to turn around. Doesn't even know what's going on, because she doesn't really care. She's just having a great time and living her best life in any situation she's in.
Did you see her sticking her tongue out at the beginning of the scene?
It’s Orla’s world and we’re all just living in it
‘I know who we should call’
That one sentence contained so much menace
Hello
The way she smirked menacingly. Brilliant expression.
In the U.S. to be fair each minor would have to call their own guardian.
@@kristinesharp6286...well it's not the US is it?
3:27 Erin delivering that “I know who we should call” menacingly while smirking is brilliant.
If Uncle Colm had been in the room when the Anlo-Irish Treaty was signed, he would've annoyed the English into giving up the whole island
you mean the British government
Even Lloyd George would have backed down facing the might of Uncle Colm 😂
Unleashing Uncle Colm should be considered a war-crime. Boring bastard could bring the empire down…
We need to send him to Russia I remember him on nighthawlks and he was brilliant at reviewing newspaper stories
Or maybe he would’ve bored the English into releasing the whole island.
'okay love' underrated line 😂
I know! That was wild! XD
Colm 😂 ... that’s just cruel. Not just to the cops but to everyone in that room
Well they couldn't call they're Ma's.
Calling Colm is an excellent idea. His boring ramble is hilarious.
Hello
But look how happy Erin and Michelle are!
@@barrythatcher9349 or the ma enablers aka their das🤣
As soon as Uncle Colm started talking, I lost it 😂😂.
Didn't expect Liam Neeson to appear
What a start to series 3 😊😊
Hope to see Liam Neeson appear in more tv series/sitcoms, heck, I hope he appears again later on in the season; he works really well in comedic situations 😂
He works really well with Improv, stand up comedy, funny monologues, crazy characters, sketches, slap stick, anecdotes and parady
He has brilliant comic timing
@Lester Cullen he's not in extras, but he is in lifes too short and it's ridiculously funny. Have you seen the outtakes of the scene? I can't believe they actually managed to finish it
@Lester Cullen it feels like it's from extras. But Warwick Davies" little dumbfounded face adds so much to the scene, it's hard to forget!
He is originally from Northern Ireland as well. Him being involved in the project is not surprising
I love the agony on Liam Neeson's face as Uncle Colm's Joycean monologue continues- and Erin's triumphant smile as she knows the girls have "won"
I did not realize that Liam Neeson grew up not far away from Derry. This is a perfect cameo.
In Ballymena ;)
This is epic. Of course THE Liam Neeson wouldn't choose just any comedy show to appear in, but THE greatest comedy show of all times

The way that you can almost feel the pain of Liam Neeson listening to Colm is great.

"There is. No. Tape"

This episode hit comedy levels of the first episode, I was in stitches throughout. So glad this series is back and what a flippin’ cameo by Liam 😁
Hello
I took a drink just as they said "I know who we should call" and I knew instantly who they meant. And well, that drink met my nostrils as I inhaled so quickly 🤣
I had exactly the same problem. I nearly choke. No more eating or drinking during Derry Girls for me. This is an international health warning ⚠️ 🤣☘️💕
Hahahaha I was screaming! The kind of laughter where I might fall off my sofa from laughing so hard.
Read an news report years ago. After the Lyric Theatre in Belfast was refurbished in 2011. Liam Neeson and James Nesbitt were invited to the reopening ceremony, having cut their teeth there as young actors. It was expected that they would be there for the photos and handshakes and be promptly away. No they stay for the whole event, hung around for about five hours, chating and enjoying the nostalgia.
Says alot about their character.
"I'm actually a boy."
"Okay, love."
Put James does look like a girl to be honest
Liam Neeson's face when Uncle Colm talks just kills me.
"What did we ask him again?"
"I don't remember."
"Jesus Christ."
I would like to state for the tape, that this will live a long time as one of the great tv comedy scenes

Liam is terrific in comedy. He kills it. So versatile.
One proper class scene in an excellent opening episode. No-one can go up against Uncle Colm and survive, not even Liam Neeson 😆

Uncle Colm: “So I said to meself Colm…this is no day for a do. Now normally, I like a slight breeze, if anything I prefer it…”

So I says to meself, says I, Colm, you don’t have the kind of money for ransom-paying, so you don’t. But what you do have, you do, is a very particular set of skills, says I. Now that set of skills, I don’t think it needs saying more than once, would make me a nightmare to people like you, so it would…
I almost fell outta my chair when I saw Liam Neeson sit down. He was the last person I'd expect to see in Derry Girls, but it makes so much sense. Loved this scene!
Who'd've thought Liam Neeson's greatest challenge would be this iconic group and their secret weapon 😂😂😂

Really? Oh no! It is such a great series!!!
Love that Liam drops a reference to his birth place (Ballymena)
When the inspector first walked in, I genuinely believed that it was going to be Adrian Dunbar playing him. But this was a very welcome surprise 😂😂😂
The best addition to the derry girls cast !
I honestly couldnt believe it when Liam walked through that door. What a brilliant show Derry Girls is. Absolutely love it.
Liam..A word of warning..NEVER get on the wrong side of these girls and uncle Colm..lol. Absolute Priceless.

LIAM NEESON: I have a specific set of skills
