Yeti is usualy claim to be found in colder climates and usualy are described as very big and aggresive monkey-like creatures so both Ice and Fighting works well for it.

It would be interesting to see them molt. With the shape of the claw tips, I wonder if they grab the "hairs" and strip the bacteria from them. *Edit* - I guess hair is proper. It's all keratin. I had a spider crab that hung out on my arm and yanked hairs out and ate them.

Maybe something like the name "conch" for mollusks. There are true conchs (Family Strombidae), then there are others: crown conch (whelk), horse conch (tulip)...

Sadly I read about plans to mine hydrothermal vents for their minerals, although for now they have only planned to test their techniques on inactive vents which are dead. But when they are perfected I don't think the will limit to that :-\

One worrisome threat to critters in terms of human impacts is the developing exploratory industry of deep sea mining we need to protect critters preemptively before that becomes a reality. I also find it ironic that crustacea as a group was defined to exclude insects though we now know that insects are descended from the clade... >_>
