It makes me think of the difference between stagnant life forms, moving life forms, groups of life, stagnant life groups, and moving life groups. Changing from relatively nonmoving species to moving speices is kind of a big change, even if the individual life forms themselves could move either way

If they grew just slightly differently, then they’d be near invisible *all the time.* However, evolution really only cares about the good enough, first and foremost.
