Thanks for teaching us how do this! Installed my H&R springs yesterday with my dad and your video! The front is a bit difficult especially because of the control arm. And make sure to not put to much force on the screws holding the suspension up top!!!
Looking perfect dude! I look forward to an update on these. Very interested since I don’t want to majorly change the suspension dynamics with coilovers or bags. Can’t get over that slight drop! It looks really good.
Just wondering - were your ones the BRZ or GR86 versions... they actually have different spring rates on rear but no one seems to mention this anywhere I can find. Mike's ones are the BRZ version I notice.
@@uReact2 Good question - The only way I know is based on the box - for example on Mike's ones the box sticker says 22 brz.. I assume the GR86 say GR... maybe no way to tell if you don't have the box
@@MKu64 actually I just googled it and I got the GR kit. The difference i noticed was the rear coils are grouped up more at the top than the brz version. I might be wrong but that’s what it looked like to me lol.
I did TRD springs on my FRS, but this time I went with coilovers. Dropped it 1.4" and won't go any lower than that though. 2022 Toyota GR86 in Halo white and Hyper silver Enkei Raijin Wheels.
It will be lower as the days go by and the spring settled trust me. to bad they don't work on my 2022 Corolla sedan se had them on but i had to remove it because you get a slide vibration on the driver side front keep an eye on that
Has anyone used the 2022 brz OEM , STI lowering springs on their car yet ? There’s a few sites selling them and they are pretty reasonably priced but they only lower stock about 10mm ??
Do you need to change your camber bolts or camber arms aswell? Im runing stock wheels no spacers. I have the rsr but idk what else i need to install it
Do you know what camber the car is running now ? Would you recommend rear lower control arms and camber bolts ? I’m trying to weigh up my options without spending thousands ?
With the RS-R's the rear camber is about 2 degrees and with the cam bolts in the front it's about 1.5 degrees. You will need adjustable lower control arms at the rear if you want to lower the car more or if you think 2 degrees is too much camber.
Thanks. I know my 2015 FRS only took a couple hours at the dealer. Trying to figure out how they are coming up with the nutty labor charge they gave me yesterday. I can't imagine what they'll be doing with the extra 5.5 hours for a total of 9.5 hrs they quoted me for doing this on my 23 gr86.... You'd think that having a lift and best possible tools at their fingertips that they could finish it faster? @@PhotomikesGarage
the car comes from factory set for perfect ride. spacers are a risk. just lowering springs will make it difficult to keep front-end alignment thus causing uneven tire wear.

Trying to stack your fingers was hilarious!! 😂😂
looks so good. neptune blue is gorgeous. might have to pick some of these up
Just got mine installed and it rides amazing!

@@uReact2 Great - thanks! Do you think your rear height looks the same as Mike's? I'm guessing a tiny bit higher but whether it's noticeable I wonder.

Team halo babyyyy
Looks amazing!!
Thanks for your review
You are really a professional!
This looks good, definitely doing this to mine. Wonder how it looks without spacers and cam bolt though?
Bought mine at the end of last year but have yet to put them on
Dude that looks good.

Looks amazing , Are the tires sitting on spacers aswell?
Thanks, There is just a 5mm spacer on the back wheels.
Sorry 25 mm spacers on all four corners.
Looks great! do you get any rubbing going over bumps or uneven roads?
No rubbing or bottoming out.
Nice man! Im debating on these or the Tein H Techs
Should get undercoat for that car in Canada
Hi Mike, it’s been about 5 months since you installed these. Any issues, regrets??
Hello! How do you know how hard to tighten the nuts/bolts? From where can I found those info? :D
So the shorter spring is for the front?
Can we talk about the knife dude used to open that box?! Or are we gonna pretend that didn’t happen?
Ever hear of a box cutter?

Nice video! How are you liking your strut bar? Been looking to get one for my front and rear.
It looks good but-Did it affect any alignment?

that fitment is sooooo nice, what mm spacers are you on and did you have to adjust camber?
25mm spacers and I added adjustable cam bolts in the front strut which allow for about 1.5 degrees of negative camber.
@@PhotomikesGarage without the spacers, do the wheels tuck in a lot?
How's the ride quality compare to stock?
These are progressive springs so over light bumps it feels smooth , over harsher bumps it feels pretty firm.
Here is my driving review of the RS-R's th-cam.com/video/UNsg_g7TsAM/w-d-xo.html
How is the ride so far? Has it changed any since you first installed the springs?
Where do you find the torque power required for each bolt ?
Are these stiff like the oem ones?
Looks good

When you trimmed the bump stop, how much did you actually trim?
About half.
Do you have camber bolts?
I’m scared to put mine on
Will the spacers work for a 2023 gr86?
Looks great! How’s the ride?
I do a drive review th-cam.com/video/UNsg_g7TsAM/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for your video, do we need a wheel alignment after the installation?
Yes you should... but I haven't yet and the car drives straight and true. I'll get it done soon.
How much did you end up cutting off the bump stops?
About half.
Did you have to roll the fenders?
No everything fits perfectly.
Do you have an estimate on time it took to do this?
I figure it took about 4 hours.

its a damper, not dampener. its not making things wetter..
