Thanks, a few more: dog walker, cat feeder, house watcher, helping those more elderly, if you are handy and physically able its unlimited (room painter, house door sealer,...)
Been in construction majority of my life. Mostly a masonry(brick, block, stone). But I move up from laying from foundation up to top of roof. Minus plumbing and electrician. So anything else between I know how to do it. So many skill trades over the years. I learned 6 skill trades and always did side hustles on the side. I'm 60 and walk away from my construction jobs and got easier jobs as I got older. From fork truck driver, dock clerical work, pick and pack in warehouses. Now I'm older I now a caregiver still doing side hustles of course. I always said my last job will to be a Walmart greeter. But now I say my last job will work in a visiting center either at a state park or on state borders. My side hustles currently are building and repairing computers, build websites and working at a flea market booth on weekends. Love the buying and selling to meet new people and loving my current job as a caregiver. Meeting new people keeps me going and active. I'm healthy and want to stay healthy and able to move around. Money isn't a problem been debt free since I was 36 and I own my home out right. So setting pretty where I'm standing now.
Congrats on putting yourself in a position to be in control of your life. Sounds like you did a lot right. Being able to enjoy what you do and help others is the best way to live.
Anything less than $100 a commitment is a waste of time, even as a side gig. There is no side job I’d waste my time on for any less. Plus, it shouldn’t eat up any more than 4 hours of my day. I’m not biting on anything less. For example, I’ve been cutting my neighbors’ yards for $40 a pop, and usually do 3 at a time. Plus, I do them on my schedule, not theirs
@@Over50tv Yeah, every thing has gone up. In 2019, I bought my mower for $1100. This year, the same mower is now $1600. Just increasing each lawn $5 hardly makes that $500 increase in price for the year. It’s gotten insane.
This is a good question that I get all the time. I know there are two things you can do, first take a look at something you enjoy doing and then find a way to monetize it. Second, try your best to include the internet in that business. I'm producing a live video later today (August 15th, 2023) and will answer your question in more detail in the video.
I’m a keen gardener, growing my own fruit, flowers and vegetables here in the uk,, I sell surplus plants in the spring, split my bearded Iris every couple of years after flowering and take blackcurrant cuttings ,, it’s so easy,, I sell them on FB marketplace and Shpock which more than covers the cost of compost and seeds ,, happy gardening folks 🌸🌼🌺
Making money doing something you enjoy that is a benefit to others is the ultimate career. I like that you are using social media to reach customers. P.s. I haven’t gardened in a long time but I always found it relaxing and rewarding. Thank you for the comment.
These jobs are meant to be side hustles, a way to make extra cash. If you are like me (and I don't recommend anyone be like me), you don't retiree, and keep working those better jobs or plugging away at your own business.

Looks like I need to create another video…

I will start using time stamps. I’ve been lazy and haven’t taken the time to learn how to do it. Thank you for the comment.

That is a nice side gig. Once upon a time I did the same thing, although I charged a bit less. It made for good spending money.

Tree trimming and stump removal pays even better

Retire smarter be the guest!
Yes! Great advice! Planning is key.
You didn't touch on if many of these side hustles require vaxxed employees? Many movie theaters in my area require that employees be vaccinated.
I didn’t think about that. My guess is yeah, most of these require vaccination. Thank you for pointing that out.
For a lot of retirees, most of these jobs are too physically demanding.
Please check out some of my more recent videos for jobs that aren't physically demanding, like online jobs.
Bro, move into the digital world....
Good idea!
These are not great jobs for people who’ve held better jobs for years.
