Yes, thank you for mentioning that ageism is alive and well in America. Most employers are looking for young workers. I think they're afraid the older workers might more frequently get hurt on the job or sick. It's like, no one wants to buy an old car and no one wants to hire an older worker in case their "parts" are getting ready to go. My school district appreciates me and I appreciate them. The best thing in our time of life is to be your own boss, if possible.

I desire more part time work. What I currently do is sell items on ebay, I've done that for years it does take a lot of time but sometimes I can make pretty good money. @lizasauniere5145 I agree. A dear friend of mine was a massage therapist and had to go on disability by the age of 54 (she had other health ailments, but the massage therapy made her hands' arthritis so much worse). I have sent in a few resumes and have a suspicion that unless the hiring managers meet me in person they may be thinking old and feeble? Any ideas on how to get a foot in the door of businesses that I would like to represent? Somehow contact the hiring manager and Drop by and personally deliver a Resume?

There are different levels of education required for people who work at a library. Yes, you have to have a degree or two to be a librarian, but not to shelve and check out books and other things that need to be done that do not require a professional. Last time I went to our library, there was a part-time job opening that required only a high school diploma. I work in my town, so the driving is minimal. It's perfect for me. I got me feeling productive again. I use the extra money to have fun. Cheers!
Subbng in schools. pick the grade that you are comfortable with. Pick the days you want.
Do not discount seasonal work/jobs...If you are good at what you do there, and you add to the strength of that business/company and they like you, they will find a way to keep you on if they can..That happened with me twice, and I got years of work from those two jobs. "Seasonal" work could lead to full time work in many situations.
Thank you so much, we really appreciate all that you do helping us. I'm looking forward to your next Video on 9 fun jobs for retirees, Yahoo!

At 61 I got downsized Sept. 2016 and rolled it into Social Security August 2017, When receiving Social Security they will penalize you severely if you show income above the set level. Now at full retirement age of 66 I can have more income. I would like to get a job in Industrial sales and use my skills in machinery and automation. I have sent in a few resumes and have a suspicion that unless the hiring managers meet me in person they may be thinking old and feeble? Any ideas on how to get a foot in the door of businesses that I would like to represent? Somehow contact the hiring manager and Drop by and personally deliver a Resume?
I heard that it is very difficult to get hired if you are over 47 unless you know someone
Hello Margaret. I'm new to your u-tube segments and am thoroughly enjoying them!
You look lovely in pink and the scarf is very flattering 😊
A massage therapist?? NO! One of the most strenuous jobs. Most senior citizens that I know have arthritis or aching knees and hips and there is no way they could do this. The young lady who gives me massages sometimes is always stretching and limbering up to save herself from aches and pains just so she can finish out her day. Already complains of neck problems. This one is terrible suggestion but thanks for video.
Congratulations on your new 😊personal look/styling: you look totally gorgeous!
Thank you so much!!
My husband, who is 72, works very part time as a merchandiser. Putting stickers on for various stores
What company does your husband work for on a part-time basis

I like your hair length. I am thinking about getting my hair cut but I don't know what style to choose. My hair is past my shoulders and I think it makes me look older but my daughter thinks I look younger. I would like to see something on TH-cam about how to get hair cut according to face shape. I am over 65.
My 81 year old mother only wears Easy Spirit. Good sponsor.
Being a ticket taker at a movie theater could be an easy job especially if you can sit while doing so
There’s an elder lady at our theater. She seems to work a lot. I find her very endearing!
I really enjoyed your video...I been looking into being a DOG Groomer...I am spending a small fortune getting the nails trimmed for my 3 little chihuahuas ...the nails grow so fast...My Vet charges $28 for each dog...Yikes!! and the grooming shop charges $12 but I don't think they do a very good job and cut them short enough. Anyway, thought I would drop you a line and say hello...Cindy Smith (age 68)...grandmother...Central Florida...USA.
Please do an eyebrow segment... it's a challenge going grey because not many companies provide such.
I own so many pairs of Easy Spirit shoes!
Good ideas! One other job is a personal cook.
Good idea!
I have thought about affiliate marketing.

Cool works
Are these jobs available worldwide?
I love the library but I don't have a degree. Thank you
There are different levels of education required for people who work at a library. Yes, you have to have a degree or two to be a librarian, but not to shelve and check out books and other things that need to be done that do not require a professional. Last time I went to our library, there was a part-time job opening that required only a high school diploma. I am still working full-time, but that gave me an idea for a job to check into once I am retired. I have always LOVED libraries and have gone to them since I was five years old.
How/where to apply for the e jurior...
Good ideas! Sorely need $200 WEEKLY BADLY

What about driving people to their appts
Good suggestion!
Huge potential demand--to drive to medical appts and take notes (if you have any healthcare background)
Kids parties doing face paint or a clown... I know a retired gal that did clown gigs for parties.
Cutting hair for people that are homeless.
Love my easy spirits.
