That’s a vice cabinet. You can put the center channel on top , which solves the problem of a lot is UST’s, and yes people still collect movies, streaming doesn’t compare to a 4k disc in quality and dynamic range for those of us who care about sound.
When you split the screen to 4 parts of 75inc are you able to watch 4 different things and if so how is that possible. What are you using to split the signal??
@reidarevanger5645 AWOL is now selling the audio kit on their website. Latest firmware also enables the analogue audio-in for use as a center channel source.
I bought the VAVA CHROMA few years back an absolutely loving it and not going to buy any TVs anymore maybe only for bedrooms, I know you dont get OLED quality. But the picture is great and is giant You can't get better than that in this in this price range
Think about the Sony ES receivers - their wireless rear speaker offerings are super handy. Have the 7000ES in a living room 7.2.4 setup with the 77” A95L using Acoustic Center Sync 👌
Nice little home theatre so far. Picture looks great and what counts is that both you and the wife are happy with it. Now for the sound system setup in regarding the center channel you could mount it underneath the projector screen since the cabinet is away from the wall and that should be able to work then your front left right speakers should be good. You can do also for your surround sound speakers they could be wireless and hook them up to the AVR via with a bluetooth module but it all depends on which AVR you do and your budget is the big one. other than that cool setup buddy and enjoy!!!
Man I love this. Gonna try and save up and do this by Christmas. As for sound I am going to go with a Klipsch setup and perhaps a Yamaha or Onkyo receiver. Thanks for the inspiration.
I am a mural artist, I would like to know how big the image can be projected?? Lets say the unit is pulled back 3-4 feet from the wall, does it simply lose its ability to focus after a certain distance?
Nice video guys. That is an impressive set up. You should be able to set a100" TV's on the new cabinet for testing. 😁 Guys as far as a home theater well that's really up to you. Maybe one of you won't like speakers everywhere. I personally don't care what it looks like as long as the sound is awesome 😎
First thought was, were do I put my center channel. Currently looking for options for my HT. Have 100" front projection and considering 120" UST or maybe 100" LED TV. Pros and cons to both.
I have the same issue for my living room as well. The room is open to the kitchen and an L shape so we can't se the surround speakers in the right positions. So the three front speakers are good and one surround is good. The other surrond is next to the left front speaker so we don't get the optimal surround effect.
You should check Zack’s setup (from Dreamedia) who has a cabinet for his UST. He has a Focal front stage, and his center channel is right under the screen.
Although me and my wife will be replacing out 77inch C2 with the new 83inch G4 for our bedroom. We have been between the AWOL 3000 with the self rising screen and 3500, it would be interesting to see if the 500-Lumens more would be much of a difference for the extra cost.

I did notice @1:33, the mech for the hanger with the hanging poles for adjustment was a Hisense one ( mine has them ). Was the screen a Hisense or possibly built by them?
Did you ever figure out what to do with the center channel? I have a whole Revel system with the C208 center and not sure what I should do without things looking out of place.
A center channel could very easily sit on the stand we have.. I'm sure you'd have to test sizes, but it could work. Hopefully, I will have a different system soon.
Hello, great video. You convinced me to buy this set up now. How high does the top of the screen sit from the floor, I may have to buy a lower table for it, thanks
The picture quality is pretty insane considering you filmed this in a very bright room with lots of reflective light coming in from all sides. It's like having IMAX at home.
We're currently looking at the AWOL 3000 Pro/Auto-Rising 120 inch screen as its about the same if not a little cheaper than any 83-85 inch OLED/Mini LED TV right now. Holding out for July 4th sales though. I'd be interested Brian in maybe seeing how a system like the SAMSUNG S990C/D Soundbar system would sound, to give some perspective on whether or not you would actually need anything more first.
How is the 3500 to the 3000? I ordered the 3000 pro with the 120" Cinematic+ ALR screen (Delivering today). My room doesn't see much ambient light, so do you think I would still notice a big difference between the 3000 to 3500? Also, I notice some people were saying that whites and skin tones seem to be very red, do you notice that?
I think you will quite enjoy the 3000. Without Ambient light, I would find it hard to see any differences. You can always attempt to calibrate if needed but the result will be it's far better than a movie theater. Enjoy.
Thanks for another great video guys. I'll be the first to admit I'm not a fan of most projectors, but the specs on this one raised an eyebrow. I just wish the Turbo game mode ment 4K@120HZ capable. What about the lamp lifespan?
There is no lamp. It is a 3 rgb laser/led setup with an expected life of 25k hours @4 hours a day. I have a VAVA 4k with 1800ansi lumens on a Hisense ALR screen ( fresnal ) and it looks awsome.
I think JVC will still beat this in terms of contrast in dark scenes. But the perceived difference will not be that big thanks to the gray screen which improves black level.
