    These are all great ideas! Keep up the good work! Would be nice if you could make those in some type of 3D printed metal, I would definitely like to have some of those add-ons!

      Metal will not work very well on this designs as the relay on flexibility of the material to hold the microtools and also as a spring to hold them inside of the multitool.

    Can you teach me how you were able to fit the saw blade with the knife? This is so cool!

    Very good approach on the small items, do you share the stl files anywhere?

    (i am new to your channel, and I am just copy/pasting a comment I made in the past to another channel, with contains some ideas about storing small gear on leatherman. Those are just some of my draft / raw thoughts for brainstorming - sharing the idea. I hope you like it and find it useful...) :)
    Here is an idea I have for storing more gear on the surge or other leatherman.
    Embed / glue in a 3d print the long metal pocket clip. Make the 3d print the same size as the external plate of the surge, so it can rest the one on top the other.
    Now you have a removable plastic plate with the clip. Design the plastic plate clip in a way similar with the plastic of the victorinox (thick) (i think they call them "scales") and leave space for the pen, the toothpick etc. Also you can create other spaces and have more gear than a victorinox in it stored.
    Another way to implement it, could be on a sheet of metal instead of plastic, by shaping the metal with the dremel and create the storing space and some kind of i.e. locking sliding port.
    ... or you can use both metal and plastic (thin metal for the bottom and engraved epoxy on the top.
    This idea could be implemented also with just some screws and a thin box / case.
    You could just screw the case on the leatherman clip. Easy removable and with a lot of storage / multifunctional. :)
    Also you could create store space, using the clip merged with some kind of heavy duty pouch / tiny bag... ;)
    ----
    Also for the bits, you can 3D print a "thin case" for the bit case leatherman already have.
    Imagine having the leatherman bit case resting the one on top of the other, having their "back side together".
    Now raise the distance with your mind and create some space between them. It should be some kind of box (3 x departments. One for leatherman bit case 1, one for leatherman bit case 2, and between them the 3rd) that each of the leatherman bit case "slide inside" that box and keep the bits safe of losing them. You can do it minimalistic or complete box with beveled corners and edges.
    So the bits are safe and we have space between them for storing other gear like pins, the pen from victorinox, some rope or fishing line, eyeglass screwdrivers from victorinox, some jigsaw blades, ratchet, drill bits, etc...
    You can "play" with the dimensions as you like for the storage...
    That case should be able to "fit" inside a learherman belt case with or without the surge multitool (i.e. in a second case if you make the case very big) for easy carrying the gear on the belt)
    The idea with the embeded clip could be applied here too if you like. (I know about 3d modeling (i am an experienced 3d modeler for years and also have some small experience with 3d print (i don't have a 3d printer, though), maybe i could create a very ungly speedy draft 3d design just to let you "catch the idea (difficult to find free time because i am busy with various personal projects and also i am a father of a little kid 😊 so there is no quiet room to work and "thing" peacefully 😂)

      Hi. Many of these things you thought about are already done and showed on my Chanel. Please se my videos about surge and charge companions, my version of multitool, scales on swisstool and so on. Can I ask on what chanel did you comment this and on what video?

    • @madseeds
      @madseeds ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ArrTEH sure. It was on the "zZz 777" channel and the video was the "leatherman multi clip mod diy".
      I will watch more of your other videos as the time pass. You have very interesting ideas and i am trying to organize my leatherman surge for edc / survival ( be aware that it is a way you can use a mini ratchet (facom, victorinox, wera, etc) and use 1/4 hex drill bits (in my case i include also long flat hex drill bits) to drill holes. You use the surge as handle to push down and the mini ratchet for not destroying the multitool to rotate the drill. The drill capability open a big new world in constructions on the woods / bushcraft / survival.
      I am trying to create a small tool kit for my leatherman and have as many possible "options" with me as possible.
      I am also trying to "invent" / find a way to create some kind of handle that could fit in jigsaw tool or in the clip and be able to attach on it (maybe a hole with a screew?) more small files types with small dimensions like those we can find in praktiker (the brand name is "lux" and the type is "comfort") but with the plastic handle removed...
      That tool type should be able to carry also a custom awl or other attachments like non-jigsaw blades...

      @@ArrTEH so, this bit holder is your own product? are you still doing it? looks great and would perfect for me to carry all the bits&bobs around. At the mo I have these two strips of leatherman bits, but your setup looks way more practical. Is it possible to get this or at least 3d model for printing from you?

    You don’t need the pick to open the inner tools, use the belt clip then put it back on……..Easy

    Could you also have some modified endcaps to incorporate those tools?

    • @ArrTEH
      @ArrTEH  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those are already on the market. On Shapeways I think and I will definetly not willing to undercut whoever is selling those. Also if you folow me on theain Facebook groups I designed a Surge copanion that holds 22 bits, 2 t-shank blades, microdriver, tweezers, pen and steel pin. And also a les than 4mm credit card shaped one that keeps thoseicrotools an 10 bits.

    I was impressed with this project. Would you be able to make this available in 3d? I'm from Brazil. Or do you sell it? If yes, what is your email so we can talk?
    Or do you know any site that sells all this? Here in Brazil there is no store for this and no website.
    fiquei impressionado com esse projeto. Teria como você disponibilizar isso em 3d? Sou do Brazil. Ou você vende isso ? se sim, qual o seu email para a gente conversar ?
    Ou você conhece algum site que venda tudo isso ? Aqui no Brazil não tem loja disso e nem site
