The original size companion look like a litke baby compared with Magnum one and I forgot about that.

Those are the improvements and the optimizations I made for the second version of the Magnum companion. Some of them are done at the suggestions of people that have them some coming from lesson learned when I used them myself.

I'm using the leatherman surge with bit kits and ratchet driver it's a great multi tool i also use the super tool 300and leatherman bond i also like the Swiss champ

@@ArrTEH Review guys usually end up sellouts, I’m happy with this situation. I think if you don’t need to design anything is the best review about a tool, because means the manufacturer more or less completed the task in the factory. With current tends you will have hobby / job for a long time. I also design small gadgets for my multitools, but to finalize something is really hard to the 0,01 mm. From idea to first prototype is easy. Make it presentable to others is completely different story. Not to mention about durability questions in use. Thank you for your answer! Wish you good luck.

No. That ratchet is worth what Leatherman is asking for it (35 dollars). If there are some s..t heads hunting for weak minds to pay hundreds of dollars on ebay for it, that is another story. And is actually one of the story that is making people to look away from this company lately.

I worked 100s of hours for the magnum and it sold only few models and now you want me to work other 100s of hour for a kit that probably will sell the same? And even more to sell it as a DIY kit meaning at a delusory price that not only not pay for my work but not even for the material and electricity consumed for the prototipes?

I was planing to send you and other guys from the big channels few things for review but to be onest I am in big trouble financially (about to lose my car and the house) and I canot aford the 30 euro shipping for each channel. Also, it seems there is not so much interest in those things, so it will not make too much of the difference anyway
@ArrTEH why not instead post the designs on a website where you get payed for the download?? That will also hopefully help you financially. I'd happily pay for the designs as I already have a 3D printer. That's a good business model.

I got a Diablo set of t shank jigsaw blades that worked almost flawless. Had to take up to a 1/4" off the length of each to make them sit inside the Surge
Leatherman should be snapping you up and paying you very good money for your designs and ideas. Your products are so impressive.

I have this kind of comment a lot, but that company is living in a buble later, and I am one of the last persons that will be able to enter that buble. But do not worry in the close future. Dude this is genius, super impressive! What you really need to do is get a hold of a bigger channel like mxd or everyday minimalist and ask them to review it and make a video and I would bet anything that it would not only boost your channel but I guarantee you would sell a ton of these and other models you make. Very intelligent designs man and I seriously think you could sell a lot of these if you can get someone with a wider audience and a good way of describing things to check it out

Very cool! Leatherman needs to hire you already. Have you ever thought about making a magsafe kit for the back of an iPhone?
In order to make a product for a phone or a tool I need to have it and I do not have enough money for an iPhone I do not use.
@@ArrTEH you can get cases for android phones that have the magsafe circles on them, functionally its basically the same.

Where will we be able to buy these? There will be plenty of us that will greatly appreciate your well thought out design, your novel idea will grow quickly if you strategically send (or work out a collab or something else) to well known YT'ers that text gear, or just offer it on eBay and like all multi tool accessories - you'll thrive. Whoever doesnt like your logo, or anything else, can piss off. Keep doing you, and don't give them the time. Get it patented or protected, you deserve full recognition for your designs. Hope to see more soon, keep up the awesome work!

I am really fond of this holster you have made. I dont have the arc yet, honestly the main blade on it is the biggest thing holding me back, i have an irrational issue of i do not like to use blades that are not easily replacable. I know how to sharpen blades but i fear damaging it too much with use.

Leatherman pliers is better but the Swiss champ pliers is small but very nice to use for small pieces

Yes, I had wingman as my first Leatherman 10-12 years ago.It cost 35 euros then. I do not remember when. But then I bought a Surge and a TTi and boyyyy what a change.
I like the Xacto blade bit. Your case is interesting and useful. I always want a toothpick, tweezers, pen and pin with me, so that was a good idea to build these into your case. Personally, I carry a Victorinox Classic all the time just to always have these extra accessories. I think your case would sell, especially if you made it a little less 'boxy', with rounded edges and corners. The Arc is my second favorite multi-tool right now. It's so easy to access all the tools. I tend not to use my Arc for fear that I will scratch it up. My favorite tool right now is the Roxon Flex, because I can use and abuse it. If I scratch or ruin a tool, I can just order a replacement for $6.00. I have built it just the way I like it, plus I can carry several of their other inserts with me and put them in the Flex very quickly. Thanks for making unique videos.
This case is made just for me, not for sale. But to be honest, that was the case with surge companion also. You are welcome.
This is definitely a great setup. I wish the bits were made better and I wish that ratchet was available. I use wiha double sided bits but I also have a Leatherman Knifeless Rebar with the bit adapter so nothing is that flat system. It would be awesome to have a small system like this but 1 construction screw wears out the bit enough to possibly strip out the next screw, in my experience. The Phillips lasts longer than the torx and hex though. I just use a pocket tool pouch for the bit adapter, bits, extension and ratchet. I am glad that I was able to get 1 ratchet but I wish I would have bought 3 now. I always wanted the Surge but the flat bits quality and the lack of ratchet made me go with the Knifeless Rebar route and I either carry a Victorinox, utility knife or pocket knife, which ever fits my needs that day. This setup has me in Envy, because of how small it is. The T shank alone would be amazing for me.

Would it be possible to do a glow in the dark magnum?
I actually did. Nobody like it also the logos I was sending there are with the white part glow and somebody complained that his girl was scared by it in the night. There is also a technical reason glow in the dark property of the filament is given by some particle dust like in the material. That makes it a little brittle, and I need flexibility in the covers. That is opposite to brittle.
