    just some feedback on design ideas, just my opinion to give you ideas. i like your magnum holder in matte black but no logos or text or print. i usually prefer no logos on my clothes or gear. instead of white, the interior can be a gray colour. the rovyvon a8 would be a great holder for the side, as i understand yours is not the real model. i like the a8 for the bright uv and warm white side light and the usb c charging. it is a great little light. you could turn it on while it is still on the companion on a belt. a small mirror on the underside of the cover flap might be a useful utility like if you had something stuck in your eye in an emergency or as a signaling mirror or looking around corners. just a square mirror would be good enough not the entire cover. your rail system could use two screws instead of one for better support. in case the single screw loosens or fails you have support of another one. i’m not sure how it might work but maybe a magnetic flap closure would work? i am unfamiliar how the cover currently closes or locks shut. one company makes a slim magnetic case for lockpicks that flips the cover around into a stand. that way you can access the tools when it stands on a table. maybe some sort of “universal” third party system of accepting different kinds of belt clips and molle / pals webbing? but ultimately the goal should be as slim as possible as you currently have it without additional bulk. your current design is very good with how slim and small it is while carry all those tools. it succeeds there while other carry systems are seriously too bulky as they are. while i have a ratchet, i don’t use it as much as the 711 ratchet with the bending head. but i also own the sight adjuster tool, which is basically the extender with a magnetic bit holder. an option to carry different extenders on one holder would be helpful. i am not sure if yours is dedicated only to the leatherman ratchet or also holds the other versions. if not, then that might be something to consider. volty switch and backpack 3.0 could be handy. the backpack flashlight might somehow provide lighting for the interior? just an idea but has to be slim. i also have the roxon flex companion. next year they will have a t shank holder. so those of us who do not own a surge could find use with the magnum holder for these items.

      Hi I will answer to some of your ideas as much as I can: At this moment the companions have the same core color as the exterior only the bottom of the compartment are high contrast orange for better visibility of what is inside. I discussed on channel before about the logos as I consider that client asking me to remove my logos from my creation it seems a form of disrespect towards me. I do have a rovivon A7 or A8 with my little bastard (my EDC) and what I have on my companions have the same function as that (even more) but they cost 3 time less than rovivon one. A small mirror can be added by the user in the back compartment on the current magnum design were you can also add a scissor from the victorinox. All the accessories HAVE ALREADY 2 SCREW places in case one is failing. The second one is in the mirror with the first one. The screw are there just to lock the position of the accessory on the rail against sliding but not to hold it so is not to much strain on the screw anyway. The flap is closing magnetically as long as is populated with bits as they are attracted by the magnets from the core. That was the design principle from the beginning 3 years ago. Yes the clips are in my mind but the design I had till now was meant to use what you have extra for the Leatherman Surge that way you have a leatherman clip implementation even if is a little bit weak. I DID CREATE an universal holder accessory for anything cylindrical in nature since the first version of the companion and majority of the people that bought from me have it. Watch the accessories video. I have 2 accessories in my list that can hold volty or volty switch. Thank you for yor comment. I hoppe I answer to all your concerns or idea with this answer.

  • @iblackfeathers
    @iblackfeathers 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

    i have had the skeletool since either first came out and have it to this day. i have several as the toolset has served me well without having to carry extra stuff like an extender or bit set. but if i wanted that, it would be in a separate carry holder system. what i am very surprised about is that the more expensive leathermans don’t all have bit holders, which surprises me because they are supposed to be more utilitarian with more capabilities yet cannot hold a second bit without a 3rd party accessory. after the skeletool the next one up for me is the wave plus. but i am so used to having an extra bit holder from using the skeletool for so long that i feel the lack of that more than having the extra tools i am gaining. part of the reason is the surge is way too big as a true edc so went with the wave plus. i also got the wave plus on sale. it is also currently on a black friday sale as well. i don’t own a surge but some day i might own one but for now it is not in my current journey in multitools. after the wave plus is the leatherman arc obsidian. i have backups of this tool and have taken them apart and one of my hobby projects i am putting one together from parts. the problem shoppjng for mods for this is that all the third party accessories are stainless, not black. i am looking for a way to add a t shank holder and scalpel in black but nobody makes them in that colour. i don’t own the regular arc version so accessories are hit or miss if they are not black.
