    Really appreciate you keeping the pedal down so we can se the top end speed as well as acceleration off the line.

    Track Mode actually slows it down. I did 11.271 @ 121.79 mph for the 1/4 mile with proper preconditioning.

      No you fucking didn’t lol.. a Tesla model 3 will never ever ever run 120+ in a 1/4.. these cars are 0-60 and 1/8
      Mile cars. 60-130 shows exactly what this car sucks at as a stock mustang gt or challenger etc is 12 seconds 60-130 lol. 11.27 at sea level or -altitude might be possible but these don’t go faster then 115 in 1/4 mile with a 150lb driver lol.

      Proper preconditioning the battery and not on street surface as shown in ur vid isnt a real world time. This is real world. End of the day its a farcry from 3.1 0-60

      @@user-my4xu4gf1z preconditioning the battery is a single button click as you pull out of your driveway. It is the same thing as putting an ICE car into “Sport” mode.

    I have a Model 3P from 2019 and it does 0-100 ( 20“ turbine wheels, Michellin pilot sport 4S) 3,2-3 on a perfect day with optimal conditions also 1/4 is around 11,67
    After Carwow did the 2019 M3P vs 21 M 3P video and i saw the older one is a bit quicker
    i tested it out myself and its absolutely gunny cause the new 21 M3 has ~15% more power in higher speeds but the 19 M3P has lighter wheels each , lighter tires , and about 15% more power at the start or from 0 to 100
    also it seems the 2019 one walks the newer one just slightly but it did
    Also dont use Track Mode for Drag runs
    only Sport mode and floor it

      @@Draghub Talked in the subreddit alot with guys and they say the reason is the wheel configuration on older models is 1.2 kg lighter per each wheel
      In Track Mode ur Model 3 needs some of its power for the advanced battery cooling conpared to “Sport“ people all over getting better results in Sport mode than in Track for 1/4 runnings
      there was one bloke who told us he stripped out the whole interior and panels so his Model 3P is about 250Kg lighter in total and on a drag strip he said he ran about 11.2 142 ~ 2,98 - 3.1 to 100 he said u really can feel the difference
      he also proofed it with a thread about it afterwards so very impressing i might say

      Where is it said that the 21 M3P has 15% more power at higher speeds than the earlier models?? News to me.

    • @blower1
      @blower1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Carwow test was on early facelift M3P - which had software issue with power output when SOC was less than 80% and/or outside and hence battery temp was below 20c. Was a problem with the heat pump in 2021 models sucking too much heat out of the battery.....this was fixed some months later with an OTA update and the performance of the 2021 models is now a tiny bit greater than 2019 - stock for stock (ie factory wheels)

      @@mastodon5220 i have Tomason TN25 instead of the Uberturbines now, they are about 4kg less weight per wheel. Guess what? My 0-100 didnt change at all. It did with the better suspension and improved tires, though. My guess is the bottleneck at at the start are the tires anyway, after that the weight doesnt play that much of a role anymore.

    • @pleasant-sunshine915
      @pleasant-sunshine915 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Another factor to note is that the car is in track mode. The 0-60 time for track mode tends to be a little slower than without it. I've been able to achieve 0-60 in 3.26s and have seen others hit below that.

    Must be in a super warm climate state. Normally you have to preheat battery and have a 90% or more charge to get this kinda numbers. Most of the time it’s around 4-4.25.

      Me in my car and 80% battery charge, A/C running with heavy 20 inch wheels and allseason tires 0-60 mph 3.12 sec. 0-100 Mph is 8.2 sec. Plenty for a daily driver, and enough to kill 99% of the cars on the road. Also 30-50 mph: 1.1 sec and 50-70 mph: 1.7 sec...
