Re-watching this again for probably the 5th time. The shot of the fire with the backdrop of the Tent, woods, and sky at 7:03-7:06 is so perfect it almost looks fake. Look at the color of the sky! Postcard quality for sure. Amazing footage Joe!
+Kimberly Rav Thanks Kimberly You have been a subscriber forever and I do not believe I have seen that you commented in quite some time. That doesnt mean you havnt because sometimes I have no way of keeping up. Nice hearing from you. Thanks again. Joe
+NepentheBlue Thank you for the nice comment. The snow is almost gone up there now and by the end of this week it should all be gone. I am looking forward to driving up in a couple weeks and next winter will arrive all too soon and I will be back up there then as well. Thanks again. Joe
Joe, if you ever need someone to watch your camp when you are away, just call me! You have a FANTASTIC camp, well thought out and well equipped. I saw this video 2 days ago, and have watched all your video's since. I will tell you, you have an excellent series going on, one you can watch as you get older. I especially liked the video of when you had all the kids for deer hunting, after they left you were alone, I know the feeling having divorced my wife, and taking the kids back to her house, and then returning to an empty house. God Bless you, WONDERFUL SERIES, KEEP 'EM COMING.....
Thanks for bringing me along joe, i miss walking in the woods in the winter so much quieter and peacefull . Thanks again for taking the time and effort in making the video keep up the great work hope you had fun in LA
Awesome cabins, they offer just over the top, to offer comfort. But, still have the beauty of the outdoors and nature in all its beauty. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, thank you. That was wonderful. Your meals looked delicious. Lots of protein. You are so laid back and thought everything out. Nice to meet you. I will visit again. Have a good one.
U sure make a good home life for yourself, and u r so organised.love your tent,.,I admire you ,nice video of your home away from home dude, I love it,God bless u.
Its something how everything in the cabin absorbs the cold and you feel it just sitting on a couch lol. But then it slowly warms then ahh. nothing like a wood fire and solitude. Thanks for the video.
I love the scenery Joe, am quite envious that you get to experience the seasons there. That could never get old. You are truly blessed. Greetings from Texas,,, Luis
Good movie making..! You put much effort into editing, scene transitions, having steady shots, etc. Congratulations! So many clips on Y.T. are junk, and people are clueless about making videos. Yours is refreshing. Much success to You, and my respects..!
Wow I absolutely love this. I want to find and purchase some land and have a nice winter cabin like this one day. There is something about being away from civilization that is satisfying and refreshing. Thanks for the video.
I feel the same way all of joe and zach every thing is always very entertaining and never gets old I think we have all got to love them I know I sure do!!
The difference between us readers and Joe The Tent Owner..he has the power to have only one of those delicious pork steaks and keep the other for tomorrow..I would have the two with no hesitation under those conditions...that to me tell me all about this man...discipline..and that is why he's got it all.. good for him...
Been there, done that, loved it. Went up to my a-frame last holiday season. Southern Vermont. 9" of snow fell over 2 weeks. Hiking to all the familiar spots, show shoes. Splitting wood. Seeing old friends. Best vacation in along time.
hope i have the chance to have a setup like this someday. at 30 years old... i don't know how, but i'm happy you did. thanks! for sharing with us all . happy trails :)
Nice video, great channel , just an idea Joe..For your convenience when you go there in the winter you should build yourself a collapsible rack to set up near your woodstove to raise up and heat your solid water back to liquid a little quicker. Thanks for sharing
Just a fantastic winter tent video Joe. Thanks for sharing, you could feel the solitude in this video and there is something about quiet times in the winter woods that appeals to me. Great stuff thanks for sharing. Safe travels to Louisiana Regards Mark
keep the light fluid away from the stove that is a beautiful cabinet to have I love it I would love to have something like that one day it's such a beautiful and peaceful looking place the Blessed place to have but keep the light fluid away from the stove
I've never seen a 'tent' like that before, it's an interesting hybrid structure. It looks really inviting and whoever built those cabins did an amazing job with the architecture!
+David Knight (fixman88) You can watch the whole cabin building as well as the tent being constructed all on this channel. we did it all ourselves. Thank you. Joe
Sneak 66 That's so funny! That is exactly what I was thinking! I live in Northern Wisconsin and it gets cold! We live in our boots!! 6 month's out of the year we don't even wear tennis shoes!
Man joe, it looks so beautiful up there, we've got 7 inches of snow here in Tennessee which is a ton considering it was 55 degrees last week. Great vid and can't wait to see some ice fishing!
Joe, I am hooked on watching your channel now for sure!!! All the trips to the tent and the cabin, the hunting, fishing, etc. I am also going thru your channel on the dehydrated stuff. Found your experiment with the dehydrated potatoes. Thanks so much for sharing your trips and your ideas. Great channel by the way if I haven't said it before. Sure wish we had a tent camp site, but our campers and the old bus serves us well. Keep up the good videos.
+J & J True Outdoor Adventures Thank you. It doesnt really matter what it is as long as you make it your home away from home. I actually think of the tent more like home than anything since during the divorce we sold "home" but I still had the tent property. I also tend to think of Melissas place in Louisiana as home as well. Funny how thoughts change as time goes on. I should have more dehydrating videos somewhere in the long list of videos. I should get them in a playlist. Thanks again. Joe
I'm glad we never have to shovel snow. I do wish we would get some snow but not that much! The snow is beautiful, the food looks 😋 delicious and I have enjoyed watching this video!
At first when I saw the stock of lighter fluid bottles I was like "damn this guy is afraid of coming up and not being able to light a fire". Then I saw you just needed that much hosing everything down with about 8 gallons lol
Matt D Is that to maintain some type of building code which states it must be a tent? Its a beautiful place I was just wondering why it was called a tent... Thanks
I honestly couldn't tell you for sure, it very well could be. But I think its more to keep it as a "permanent structure rather than having the snow and elements beating on the bare kanvas.
+jongmans38 Because its a tent. Here is the video of when I put it up. I have done alot to it but at the end of the day its The Tent. Thank you. Joe th-cam.com/video/aGOS_XRkGVo/w-d-xo.html
Man.... This is the first time I've watched one of your video's.. I have to say, I love it. Great filming and commentary. Absolutely AMAZING place! I would give anything to be able to go there for a week! Now I have winter camping fever and I'm starving!! Good stuff man!
but be careful about his lighter fluid and his pork steak fetish I don't want to get kicked off his channel nor does anyone else he also has a thing with chuck roasts i'm sure Dr. Phil would have a field day with Joe on national TV.
I clicked on this video hoping to see snow. Boy did I!! The state I live in (South Carolina) would be completely closed down if we got this much snow. 5 - 18 - 25 degrees! Anything under 65 and I think I'm freezing. Y'all are made of tough stuff up there in Minnesota. Thank you for sharing, Joe. I don't always comment but I do try to watch your channel when I get the chance. Take care of yourself.
Well done, Joe. I'm surprised it takes so long to heat up the tent. You need to get started on your cabin already! Do you have "plans" for your cabin yet? It would be nice to see what you've got in mind, even if it's only on paper. I went into my cabin last Thursday. 2.5 hour drive, 1.5 hour hike. Although I was filming as I went. I did catch sight of a moose but you can't see it in the video. I would have stayed overnight but my "tent" doesn't have a wood stove. Can't wait to finish my cabin.
Excellent video. Man that was fun watching. There were a few really beautiful shots. It seemed like you were working the whole time but that was just the way it seemed. Very well run camp tent operation.
love these videos of the tent joe. the road conditions were interesting, starting the journey with wide gritted roads, gradually getting narrower with more snow on them. little tip - when you leave the tent, have the log burner ready made, just add a match when you return. would wrapping the water bottles in the sleeping bags stop them freezing? also what fuel did you use to get the fires going? that backwoods cabin looked amazing, would be nice if it was let for vacations. gotta get me one of those lanterns too. in all i loved it joe - brilliant video, it was like i was right there with you. take care buddy
Great Video..it feels like been there..... you can only have those thing and enjoy them when you are diligent as you showed in your short stay there, you never stopped working, keep you fit and times goes better..I envy you...cheers mate
Re-watching this again for probably the 5th time.
The shot of the fire with the backdrop of the Tent, woods, and sky at 7:03-7:06 is so perfect it almost looks fake. Look at the color of the sky! Postcard quality for sure.
Amazing footage Joe!
I could watch you cook stuff at the tent all day. your cooking videos in general are my favorites
This is the vid I wait for every year! I love when you go in the winter.

The outhouse (at the cabin) is the prettiest I've ever seen. Everything about this video makes me feel cozy and long for winter to return. Loved it.
+NepentheBlue Thank you for the nice comment. The snow is almost gone up there now and by the end of this week it should all be gone. I am looking forward to driving up in a couple weeks and next winter will arrive all too soon and I will be back up there then as well. Thanks again. Joe

Awesome cabins, they offer just over the top, to offer comfort. But, still have the beauty of the outdoors and nature in all its beauty. Thanks for sharing.
I can imagine the absolutely brilliant sound of silence in a landscape like this.
All you hear is your ears ringing. Its as close to total silence I ever hear. Its amazing. Thank you. Joe
It *IS* amazing how you feel like you're there. What a refreshing contribution..enjoying it immensely.
I love when the only sounds you can hear are the ones that you make.
Beautiful scenery, Lots of snow. The moon has been fantastic the last couple nights. Thanks for the video
Wow, thank you. That was wonderful. Your meals looked delicious. Lots of protein. You are so laid back and thought everything out. Nice to meet you. I will visit again. Have a good one.

Watched the entire video which is rare for me for winter videos. Something was special about this video. Thank you for uploading!
Good movie making..! You put much effort into editing, scene transitions, having steady shots, etc. Congratulations! So many clips on Y.T. are junk, and people are clueless about making videos. Yours is refreshing. Much success to You, and my respects..!

Makes me feel like we should Appreciate everything WE do 😄
Oh brother, did I enjoy just watching this little weekend adventure of yours. The food looked yummy too!
The difference between us readers and Joe The Tent Owner..he has the power to have only one of those delicious pork steaks and keep the other for tomorrow..I would have the two with no hesitation under those conditions...that to me tell me all about this man...discipline..and that is why he's got it all.. good for him...

HansumRob100 I'm a college student so I don't exactly have a whole lot of money. But! Perhaps in the near future I'll have that luxury!
Correct it looks like Joe has money, you have to have it to do this like he does. I think his dad as money as well.
it is beautiful but its tough and can be deadly if ya not carful and aware at all times(":
I've never seen a 'tent' like that before, it's an interesting hybrid structure. It looks really inviting and whoever built those cabins did an amazing job with the architecture!
+David Knight (fixman88) You can watch the whole cabin building as well as the tent being constructed all on this channel. we did it all ourselves. Thank you. Joe
AWESOME video ! Thanks for Sharing !!!
Love it, all except your shoes and no gators ;) Awesome camp/cabin set up, great edit on your video - it really told a story.
I'm Brazilian but I really wanted to spend a few days in a place like this.
But I think it will never be possible, what a pity.
Joe, watching you at the tent is like an escape for me as well from western NY. I thoroughly enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work! Mike
I really enjoyed your video. Where is this at? How far was the walk in? Thanks for the post. Loved it.
I cant stop watching this one. Amazing place you have there sir.
It doesn't matter what you cook outside. It always tastes better BECAUSE it was cooked outside. :)
beautiful video. I watched it during the break time at work. I zoned out for some time. really amazing.
the outhouse is actually nicer than the cabin.. lol
Beautiful Property, Love the winter camping also!
I need to live like this. Teach me the ways. I'm done with city living
Get me a job i'll move tomorrow !
I could not handle the city life, I would be an anxiety ridden doctors patient. Lol. Thank you. Joe
Lumber Jack he has electricity Dee Dee dee
what an awesome place to get away for a few days and relax. Thanks for sharing.
Don't your feet get cold & wet wearing sneakers instead of boots?
+Sneak 66 Chuck Norris's? Yes. Joe's? NEVER.
+Sneak 66 That's what came to my mind!
Yea I definitely would be wearing boots in those conditions
Korean old people living along
Sneak 66 That's so funny! That is exactly what I was thinking! I live in Northern Wisconsin and it gets cold! We live in our boots!! 6 month's out of the year we don't even wear tennis shoes!
Great fire starting method do that other stuff when you have no other way.Beautiful video, I am envious of your set up what fun.
Dead envious, Manchester UK.
Man joe, it looks so beautiful up there, we've got 7 inches of snow here in Tennessee which is a ton considering it was 55 degrees last week. Great vid and can't wait to see some ice fishing!
where is your electricity coming from?
The first 7 years I ran a generator and then 3 years ago I dug in power. Thank you. Joe
Joe, I am hooked on watching your channel now for sure!!! All the trips to the tent and the cabin, the hunting, fishing, etc. I am also going thru your channel on the dehydrated stuff. I'm glad we never have to shovel snow. I do wish we would get some snow but not that much! The snow is beautiful, the food looks 😋 delicious and I have enjoyed watching this video!
I like him~
Really enjoy these tent and cabin vids- thanks for doing these
At first when I saw the stock of lighter fluid bottles I was like "damn this guy is afraid of coming up and not being able to light a fire". Then I saw you just needed that much hosing everything down with about 8 gallons lol
LOl. no reason to dick around right? Its 2.50 a bottle so I dont try to conserve it. Lol. Thanks Rusty. Joe
Get a chimney charcoal lighter,Save the lighter fluid plus your food will taste better..
@@andyr8625 Joe does it the way he wants. Now leave him be, friend, or he will say the bad word...
Wonderful enjoyed this very much. Thanks for the view of the great white North.
Why do you call it a Tent? It isn't a Tent in any sense of the word...?
If you take a tent, and build an insulated "box" inside, is it not still a tent?
Matt D Is that to maintain some type of building code which states it must be a tent? Its a beautiful place I was just wondering why it was called a tent... Thanks
I honestly couldn't tell you for sure, it very well could be. But I think its more to keep it as a "permanent structure rather than having the snow and elements beating on the bare kanvas.
In his older video. It started out as a tent.
Sophak Om Yes...It started as a tent... It is not a tent now by all all my building skills which go back 25 years...
This might be my favourite so far! It would be great to see this camp again before the end of the winter!
Why do you call it a tent when it is a building?
+jongmans38 Because its a tent. Here is the video of when I put it up. I have done alot to it but at the end of the day its The Tent. Thank you. Joe th-cam.com/video/aGOS_XRkGVo/w-d-xo.html
Yes, watched the video, but your "Tent" has a solid tiled roof and solid walls.
Is it a loop hole in terms to be able to build where it is?
Man.... This is the first time I've watched one of your video's.. I have to say, I love it. Great filming and commentary. Absolutely AMAZING place! I would give anything to be able to go there for a week! Now I have winter camping fever and I'm starving!! Good stuff man!
This dude has enough lighter fluid for years. WTF?
but be careful about his lighter fluid and his pork steak fetish I don't want to get kicked off his channel nor does anyone else he also has a thing with chuck roasts i'm sure Dr. Phil would have a field day with Joe on national TV.
Great video! Thanks for taking us along!
lighter fluid? Really...city boy. hahahaha
Chuck, you are gonna make Joe say the bad thing...
This the life I want to live. I very much enjoyed watching it.
Really love the Tent videos. Thanks for posting.
Love the solitude of your cabin, it is beautiful!
That's the nicest outhouse I've ever seen lol, pretty cool!
All looked great again, see how relaxed you are when out there, thanks for sharing.
This is absolute heaven!! Just started my career and this is something I hope I can have in the future!!
This is truly living the dream! I hope to have a place like this to go one day!
just love it! love your set up very very nice thanks for your vid!!!!
Love all the Tent journals, and all the rest. You and Zach have an awesome channel Joe! Your like the modern day Dick Proenneke! Love it!!! ~Dan
i'v been a fan for a year and love all your videos thank you for sharing your ups and downs with us !! p.s everything looks awesome even the stove!
This, is how I'd love to enjoy winters.
Excellent video. Man that was fun watching. There were a few really beautiful shots. It seemed like you were working the whole time but that was just the way it seemed. Very well run camp tent operation.
+kartof1 Thank you. I love it at The Tent and about a month from now I will be back up there. I hope you stick around and watch. Thanks again. Joe
love these videos of the tent joe.
the road conditions were interesting, starting the journey with wide gritted roads, gradually getting narrower with more snow on them.
little tip - when you leave the tent, have the log burner ready made, just add a match when you return.
would wrapping the water bottles in the sleeping bags stop them freezing?
also what fuel did you use to get the fires going?
that backwoods cabin looked amazing, would be nice if it was let for vacations.
gotta get me one of those lanterns too.
in all i loved it joe - brilliant video, it was like i was right there with you.
take care buddy
+funkyprepper Thanks Darren. I will do a video on lighter fluid just for all of you across the pond. LOL. Nice hearing from you. Thanks again. Joe
+funkyprepper lol, might have known i would find you here as well, lol. Cheers Moose.
You need a snowmobile dude! Another great video. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
Great Video..it feels like been there..... you can only have those thing and enjoy them when you are diligent as you showed in your short stay there, you never stopped working, keep you fit and times goes better..I envy you...cheers mate
